Can anyone help me out with flashing a Verizon voyager Vx10000 over to MetroPcs without losing the internet, the picture messaging or the music player? I can really use any tips or help on how to do this.

Knowing this i went to the store to get it done and she told me it couldn't be done and she was like "i can flash it but i can't program it to make it work with Metro" so i walked out disappointed.Doing my own research using the web i've read many stories (even here in this forum) about people flashing the same kind of phone to MetroPCS and so i decided to do it myself, well not really but maybe get some ideas and know the process so i can go back to the store and tell them how do it.
As much as i read through i've got the ideas and concepts used during such flashing. At the store she told me after being flashed the MMS and WEB services wouldn't be available, i had no problem with that and now i found out that you can get such services with a bit more of effort.I know how to get the SPC.is the phone EVDO or AWS?which would be the best prl file for the phone?if i ever get it done i could just go the store and tell them to get its ESN into the system and make calls?If the info for all this has been already posted before could you direct to the right direction to them

I have looked all around the internet searching for how to configure WAP and MMS after flashing. Supposedly you are supposed to use LGNPST (lab) to NVEDIT and change the WAP gateway, port, username, and password. I can change the gateways and ports but whenever I type in a different username or password it will not retain the value . Since it will not change the username or password I have set up a personal HottProxy using the default username and password, but it gives me the error "Connection failed. Please try again." I have also tried editing the values with LGDownload with no avail. If anyone has successfully got this to work please post the instructions here. I have also read about a paramtable that will store the username and password and allow changes to it. I preformed the hex edit with the third value changing it from 00 to 20 and that didn't do much. If there are links please PM me. Just as a heads up, I'm new to LG flashing (I usually do Motorolas), and am not really that familiar with all of these utilities. I have the LG VX9100 (VZW model) flashed to TELUS (CX91T09 or something like that).
View 1 Replies View RelatedA friend of mine has an Altell PPC6800 and she's now on verizon, she loves that phone and she's upset with the phone Verizon gave her a bit ago and still carries her 6800 even though it's non-functional. Do you have any advice on getting an Altell PPC6800 working on Verizon? She has called Verizon and had a bunch of rude representatives tell her it's not possible. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it's the exact same phone hardware. To my knowledge Verizon also changed their policy to accept third party phones on their service sometime in 2008.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk so I bought an env2 off a guy on craigslist. I dropped my old one in a puddle but I really loved my env 2 so I bought a used one from someone on craigslist. When I went to activate it I discovered it was on revol's network, I dont live in the city hence I can get coverage on revol. Still says verizon all over it when you turn it on and off. I am not very savvy with cell phones but I am with a computer. I took it to the verizon store and they tried to put new firmware on it but it didnt work. I have a tough time beleiving that it can go from verizons network to revols but not back, if anyone has a way that I can flash the phone back to verizon.
View 3 Replies View RelatedA couple years ago my wife bought a Samsung Instinct M810. I flashed the phone to Verizon so she could use PagePlus. Everything has been working fine but the phone has really been beaten up. About the only thing that still works is the speed dial function.
A few days ago I found another Instinct in mint condition for her. I have been trying to flash it to Verizon with limited luck. I activated the phone with PagePlus and received a phone number ( I was planning on porting her number when I had everything working).The phone connects to Verizon but it can't connect to OTP. If I dial a number I get connected to Verizon with the message "Welcome to Verizon, unfortunately we cannot identify your phone, etc."
The problem is that when I dial *22890 (or any *228xx number)the signal bars vanish and there is an indicator showing no service and the call is dropped. After the call is dropped the signal returns and I can again connect to Verizon. I have tried several PRL's, even the one on my wife's current phone but it doesn't make any difference. I didn't have this much trouble with her other phone so I am at a loss.
Yesterday, I switched to MetroPCS. I got the Samsung Freeform phone. I am having a heck of a time trying to install java games on it. Someone on another site suggested that I install "BITPIM" and try it that way. I cannot figure out how to do it. Can somebody shed some light on this. If not, I guess I will have to return the phone back to MetroPCS. This phone uses the "BREW" platform.

The phone does not currently have Kies installed (I don't even know if it is supported on this phone). And he can't install new applications because he has no data plan. Is he pretty much out of luck or is there some alternate way of doing this that I haven't discovered yet?

I have both a Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. I have provided my E911 address for both phones and I can get WiFi calling to work on the 5X but not on the 6P. Both phones are rooted with the "N" build and both have the original radio (from "D") flashed for band 12.
Does anyone know the current gateway IP address for metropcs, it used to be 010.223.002.004 but they change it about every two months. trying to get Web and Pic mail on my instinct and I am getting a 2048 error.

I have connected my phone to my laptop and used the QPST Configuration program to open up the settings of the phone. I do have I think all the setting for the Metro web browser to work, but I can't find where they all go. Below I posted what setting I have.

I am trying to save him a few dollars as he has a lot on his plate with his mortgage and all. So when the hinge broke on mine recently, I bought a refurbished VX8350 in excellent condition. The only problem is the software version that's on the phone is 2.0 and the latest available version of the software is 4.0 which fixed several bugs on the phone and improved call and speakerphone clarity.I brought my replacement phone into Verizon today and they told me they no longer support the phone and no longer have the software upgrades for the VX8350.Is there any other means of burning my phone with latest firmware version the VX8350?

I can't send SMS with my Verizon iPhone 4s. I'm in Amsterdam, using a Vodafone NL SIM card. Can send/receive phone calls, receive texts, and use data; just can't send texts! View 1 Replies View RelatedOk today my phone was sitting on my desk not being used at all. I hadn't used it in about 30 min before that and battery was at 75%. So i was sitting there and the screen turns on by itself I thought ok phone call or text. I try to unlock the screen I noticed there was no signal bars red x and screen would not unlock it was frozen then about 5 seconds the phone turns off.
Now it will not power on and I have tried 3 known good chargers but the led in the top flashes red. If I press power down button led stays solid red as long as I hold power button on when on charger. If I unplug from charger power button does nothing not even power + down or up volume. I even tried little yellow reset button next to sim card nothing. Is my 4 month old phone shot? The sony companion app on pc does not find phone either this blows.
I have a strange problem on my G920T that's been bugging me for a while. After flashing a custom ROM, my EFS was messed up. I had backed it up prior to any custom ROMs. All works well n the phone except whenever it's rebooted it fails to register to T-Mobile's network.
So I have to bring up the dialer, type in *#2263# and choose Band Selection, then LTE, then LTE All (which is already asterisked) and tap it again. Only then will it register on the network and then works fine. I've tried everything under the sun including restoring EFS backup, flashing back to stock, etc., to no avail.
Any script that automatically runs the above process after reboot. I don't know enough to do so, and I'm not sure one exists.
