Yesterday, I switched to MetroPCS. I got the Samsung Freeform phone. I am having a heck of a time trying to install java games on it. Someone on another site suggested that I install "BITPIM" and try it that way. I cannot figure out how to do it. Can somebody shed some light on this. If not, I guess I will have to return the phone back to MetroPCS. This phone uses the "BREW" platform.
View 1 Repliesi've been searching all over the internet for the userlock code for the Samsung Freeform III, it's not the one it usually is for MetroPCS. i would like to get into the settings and be able to download mp3's and images via the web browser, and even possibly tether via USB or Bluetooth. If anyone knows this code, or can help me figure out what it is. That would be great.

I have a friend that just bought a Samsung Freeform.. and we have been looking up and down on how to use this to "tether" to the computer to no avail.. i have bluetooth but we would like a more reliable link as we are using it for Xbox Live ... it works well with my phone however it is from LG....is there a place where i may be able to find the driver for this phone...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a Freeform 2. I tried the subsidy code as per other forums. However, when I access the hidden menu, there is no Dial-Up Networking (DUN) option. The Freeform 1 had DUN.
Is there a way I can install it/enable it? Perhaps there's another hidden option I'm missing?
Has anyone paired the Freeform with a Kia Soul? I'm looking at the phone from MetroPCS as a cheap texter, but I've had bad luck with a previous Samsung connecting to my Soul.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHello! I am new to this thread and the freeform phone (which I love by the way!) I am currently having issues with my Music Library. Being that I was so spoiled by my ipod there are a few things that are bothering me about the Music Player.
1. My songs are not in alphabetical order.
2. Song information that is in the file is missing (Artist Name & Album)
3. Shuffle does not change. The songs are shuffled only once and stay in that order indefinably.
Can anyone offer any kind of advice or point me in the right direction to solve this issue. and which method best works for adding music. I currently do the Drag and Drop from Itunes to my music folder on my card and I use the sync feature on Windows Media Player (SOMETIMES BECAUSE WMP IS NO AS EASY TO NAVIGATE AND FIND THINGS AS ITUNES

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I currently have the Samsung Freeform (SCH R350). It's an OK phone but to be honest the MetroPCS Firmware is just horrible. I'd like to put the Alltel or some other carriers firmware but I don't have a clue on how to do anything like this and I can't find any info anywhere. First off I did find out about something called Samsung PST ans PST Lite a friend from my trade school said that those are the utilities. I'd need and that I want PST not PST Lite, another thing he said I would need is to acquire the Carriers dll file for the specific phone but after 2 nights of searching I found no Samsung SCH R350 dll's anywhere for any Carriers. This is really eating at me and I'd really like to get some progress into this if anybody has any info on this. Please get back to me whether it be in this thread or through PM. I'm not asking for you to hand me the files or information right over just atleast point me in the right direction.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got a MetroPCS Samsung Freeform. The power cable also functions as a USB cable, which I've used before to successfully transfer pictures TO my Mac laptop and ringtones FROM my laptop.
The problem is, now I can't get the phone to go into Mass Storage mode. I go to Phone Settings->PC Connection and set it to "Mass Storage", but it never actually stays set as that. I go back and it defaults to "No conncetion".
How can I get my phone to go back into Mass Storage Mode? I got it to work before!
PS, before anyone asks, Bluetooth is off, and I have a Mac so I can't install the drivers from the CD that came with it. I have a feeling this might have something to do with the Service Menu. (when you go to Settings then press # then type in the code). I might have accidentally changed a setting when I was messing around in the service menu
My Samsung Freeform will only go on when the charger is plugged in and then unless I;m pressing buttons and navigating the phone it turns off. It will not stay on with the charger plugged in nor will it charge. The phone was working fine when I took it back from an Ex-girlfriend.I took the battery out to get the ECN # and when I put it back in it wouldn't turn on. I also tried resetting the phone in the Menu > phone settings > security > reset phone but iy didn't make a difference.

I am trying to save him a few dollars as he has a lot on his plate with his mortgage and all. I owned an Instinct at one time so I am familiar with the "debug menu" etc. I am also pretty tech savvy and am always tweaking my devices...however have never flashed a phone. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung SCH-R350 (Freeform) and awhile back I was in the NAM program screen (when you dial 47*86..etc..) and I found one called "theme," thought it would be smart to change it from "2" to "3" (hoping there was a hidden theme as none can be downloaded for this phone) and it restarted the phone. When it turned back on where it says "contacts/messages/menu" (pretty much all the words/letters) are kinda fuzzy lookin and if you do anything like go into the menu, messages, contacts or dial ANYTHING then the phone just restarts. You can still go on to the internet and applications/@metro (right or left arrow key) but anything else restarts the phone. How could I go about fixing this??? Should I just take it into a METRO store and lie about how it happened?? I can't get calls or make calls (not even with a bluetooth and voiceservices). What should I do as my CDMAWorkshop's demo time expired so now I only have CDMATools 4 and QPST?

Knowing this i went to the store to get it done and she told me it couldn't be done and she was like "i can flash it but i can't program it to make it work with Metro" so i walked out disappointed.Doing my own research using the web i've read many stories (even here in this forum) about people flashing the same kind of phone to MetroPCS and so i decided to do it myself, well not really but maybe get some ideas and know the process so i can go back to the store and tell them how do it.

At the store she told me after being flashed the MMS and WEB services wouldn't be available, i had no problem with that and now i found out that you can get such services with a bit more of effort.I know how to get the SPC.is the phone EVDO or AWS?which would be the best prl file for the phone?if i ever get it done i could just go the store and tell them to get its ESN into the system and make calls?If the info for all this has been already posted before could you direct to the right direction to them
I've seen a few treads addressing Wifi Calling, but they typically seem to address it in combination with other features (VoLTE, Band 12, etc) and not specifically on MetroPCS (yes, it is T-Mobile). My question:
I have both a Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. I have provided my E911 address for both phones and I can get WiFi calling to work on the 5X but not on the 6P. Both phones are rooted with the "N" build and both have the original radio (from "D") flashed for band 12.
I Have an LG VX9600, and have had it flashed to metro already, so i can sent texts, get call all the basics, but I know that you can program it to be able to use internet and picture messaging. I have connected my phone to my laptop and used the QPST Configuration program to open up the settings of the phone. I do have I think all the setting for the Metro web browser to work, but I can't find where they all go. Below I posted what setting I have.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've lost the 4 digit user selected security lock code which is required to reset the phone.Virgin says Samsung should help recover the code and Samsung says Virgin should help recover the code.A while back, I found a code on the web that allowed me to go into a service menu which listed among other things the lock code. I can't find any information on how to get back into that menu.
By the way, yes, I tried the last 4 digits of the phone number, 0000, 9999, 1234.If anyone knows how to get into the service menu on this phone
The only codes I've found so far are:##786# which gets into an info menu but doesn't have the lock code.##33284# which requires a 6-digit security code which I don't know.
I have a display problem with one of my two phone. When you power on the phone the Samsung logo appear and off after that but the phone boot up OK just don't have any on the screen, I can make call or receive OK. I disassemble both phones and swap the main board and find out that nothing wrong with the LCD Screen but the Main board. The phone have BK03 bin and I loaded with CB23 bin and it working good now.

I want to take advantage of the feature, but as it is, I have to click menu, tools, record audio just to get started. Ideally I would love to have it available in the multi task button but I'm not hopeful this is possible.

I recently bought a used Samsung Flight online and it appears to be locked. The pictures in the posting all showed it unlocked, connected to Rogers etc and the phone is exactly as shown in the posting based on the nicks/marks on it. However, when I boot it up I am faced with a passcode. I've tried the standard 0000, 1234, 12345, 00000 etc but no luck. I've also messaged the seller but have not received a reply as yet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA couple years ago my wife bought a Samsung Instinct M810. I flashed the phone to Verizon so she could use PagePlus. Everything has been working fine but the phone has really been beaten up. About the only thing that still works is the speed dial function.
A few days ago I found another Instinct in mint condition for her. I have been trying to flash it to Verizon with limited luck. I activated the phone with PagePlus and received a phone number ( I was planning on porting her number when I had everything working).The phone connects to Verizon but it can't connect to OTP. If I dial a number I get connected to Verizon with the message "Welcome to Verizon, unfortunately we cannot identify your phone, etc."
The problem is that when I dial *22890 (or any *228xx number)the signal bars vanish and there is an indicator showing no service and the call is dropped. After the call is dropped the signal returns and I can again connect to Verizon. I have tried several PRL's, even the one on my wife's current phone but it doesn't make any difference. I didn't have this much trouble with her other phone so I am at a loss.
I bought a nexus yesterday and have been unable to register it with the American samsung site (no options for us canadians there) not to mention the fact that after typing in my serial the site says my handset was manufactured 1/31/1993!
On the canadian site which i have all my other samsung products registered, there is no listing for my model number (GT-I9250TSDTLS (this is whats on the box, phone menu just lists my model as Samsung Galaxy Nexus, though the label under that battery shows GT-I9250M as the model number..how am I supposed to register my phone?[URL]..shows that galaxy owners can get a free copy of angry birds space... how do I get that?
The phone is stuck with "Silence all" on the screen at all times.It's not usable and I cannot make any calls, answer calls or send text messages.The menus also are not accessible as I thought about trying to do a standard or hard reset.I have tried using the volume button to cycle out of'Silence All", then "Vibrate All" shows but it automatically goes back to and stays on "Silence All".I even tried holding the FN-# key and the * key to see if it comes out it but it does not.
I have also tried removing the battery several times but it does not help.anyone have any ideas of how I can get it out of this mode or is the phone toast?
