I recently bought a used Samsung Flight online and it appears to be locked. The pictures in the posting all showed it unlocked, connected to Rogers etc and the phone is exactly as shown in the posting based on the nicks/marks on it. However, when I boot it up I am faced with a passcode. I've tried the standard 0000, 1234, 12345, 00000 etc but no luck. I've also messaged the seller but have not received a reply as yet.

Not rooted start showing constantly an icon of a plain as it was in flight mode and if you go to settings it shows that the flight mode is off. Also it is not recognising any SIM. I tried some admin codes to enter service menus but they dont seem to work. my phone is currently locked to rogers.I dont have a data plan or need one. it has wifi so i can still connect to the net. Sent messages are stored to the phone without any problem. However, all incoming messages are stored to the sim card. I can probably take 30 messages before it fills up completely.This gets annoying because I am constantly having to delete my inbox when I rather not be doing it.I checked all over the phone for some sort of option to change this but have had no luck.Any one know if it is possible?
Another problem is that I plug the phone in every night to charge.When I wake up, it is fully charged. However, when I unplug it, it flashes "Low Battery" and powers down.I can turn it back on and the battery is full but this gets pretty annoying.Any hear of this before?Finally, is there any way to change the images that show up on the locked screen?They are nice but are annoying after some time.
After turning my phone on after leaving it off for the day I am unable to connect to my Network Provider (Displays "No Service). When I look at my options it displays "Flight Mode On" under the power button options. I turn this off but it still shows Flight Mode selected under my Network Settings?

She said that after her phone was turned off for non-payment, she can no longer use the phone. She claims she has been remotely locked out, as if you set a security lock code and forgot it, that kind of locked out. She swears the company locked her out to keep her from getting at her contacts. Is this even possible? I googled and the only thing I can find is blacklisting lock outs using the ESN, which I already realize. But to actually lock the hardware remotely, is another thing. I know they can remotely unlock. What is her best option to recover those important numbers, and do all carriers actively do this sort of thing (if it's even true?)
Connected Galaxy S11 to Kies and was informed a Firmware upgrade was available. Current was shown as PDA:KF3/ PHONE:KE7 / CSC:KG2 (O2U) New shown as PDA:KJ1 /PHONE: K14 / CSC :KJ1 (O2U)It started off Ok and downladed firmware. Checked encryption of binary, unpacked binary, changed the picture of computer/phone to grey panel and started downloading to phone. Phone shows gren robot and "Downloading... Do not turn off target". It downloaded 11% and stopped.That was at 1540. It is now 1710 and it still shows 11%?

What i want to know is if i update it via samsung to the latest software which is ICS 4. something would the phone be locked to t-mobile again? i know i will loose the root access im not bothered with that all i want to do it update it to the latest software, but afraid of it being locked back to t-mobile.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I received a Canadian Rogers LG Xenon a couple days ago, I am not able to get any gmail apps to function on it (gmail, maps etc).After some troubleshooting I think it is because of the fact that the Access point settings in the phone are incorrect (read: not all entered)yet they are locked and not editable.For the rogers Internet Profile which is used for Application Data usage it did not have a user-name and password setup for the account.

When i look on the phone it does appear to have these settings (minus username/password which are blank) so.I tried to simply create a new Profile (new profile name also) to added the user-name and password but as soon as I enter the internet.com address the phone indicates that this access point already has a profile associated to it and you can not duplicate entries.Rogers Technical support also told me their "support" phone in the office was setup the exact same way and they could not edit it, and they do not 'support' gmail apps....I know other people have Rogers branded phones that are able to access gmail apps, could someone please verify if there accounts have the username and passwords set on their devices.The lady also said that the sim card is were this data is stored and that I should try putting my sim into a different phone to see if I could edit these settings there.....this doesn't sound correct to me, as this is my sim from my old phone were I manually entered all of these values.
I am trying to retrieve photos from a Samsung Galaxy S6 that is stock at the lock screen. The finger print scan is not working and they do not know there back up password. I researched two ways to get around this.
1. Entering in the google account user name and password
2. Signing into Find My Mobile with the samsung account information and unlocking the phone
If both of these options fail due to the owner not remembering there above credentials is there any other way to retrieve photos. How about putting the phone in dfu mode and using a program on a computer to copy photos from the internal storage. Is something like this possible?
I often find myself waking out with a locked up phone. I use fingerprint and no matter how many times I reset my alternative password, it somehow magically changes and I cannot 'remember' it.
I used to lock my phone with android devide manager to fix this but now when i try to do so it says ''Since Google has confirmed that the screen lock is already set, entered password will not be required '' and now i cannot unlock my phone by entering a new password. I dont' want to do a factory reset, what is up with this?????
I really do not want to lose any of my data.
I have been trying to unlock it for use in Italy, but I can't get past the initial setup which is asking for my original Samsung login ID, which I obviously don't have. In addition, I can't flash the rom with Odin or install off of external SD card, because I cannot root it.

Problem is with my fat fingers is that I keep knocking this and so bringing up the option to deal. Luckily I've always noticed and then cancelled so no mishaps yet.
View 5 Replies View Relatedtoday I picked up a rough looking Bold 9000 and swapped in my spare parts onto it. The catch is, it was a Bell phone. I already unlocked it and it states it is on rogers network now. I don't want the Bell logo/wallpapers to load upon startup, so I though by installing FW Version 5.0.1626 from the blackberry Rogers download page it would fix it.The software update just finished(about 10-15 min) and I see a bell background and bell startup logo. Should the Rogers FW change this over? or are the bell wallpapers/startup logo's programmed into the phone itself and NOT the FW?I don't want to remove the Logo completely, I just rather have it say ROGERS like my old BB and have all the rogers software/configuration.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've lost the 4 digit user selected security lock code which is required to reset the phone.Virgin says Samsung should help recover the code and Samsung says Virgin should help recover the code.A while back, I found a code on the web that allowed me to go into a service menu which listed among other things the lock code. I can't find any information on how to get back into that menu.
By the way, yes, I tried the last 4 digits of the phone number, 0000, 9999, 1234.If anyone knows how to get into the service menu on this phone
The only codes I've found so far are:##786# which gets into an info menu but doesn't have the lock code.##33284# which requires a 6-digit security code which I don't know.
I have a display problem with one of my two phone. When you power on the phone the Samsung logo appear and off after that but the phone boot up OK just don't have any on the screen, I can make call or receive OK. I disassemble both phones and swap the main board and find out that nothing wrong with the LCD Screen but the Main board. The phone have BK03 bin and I loaded with CB23 bin and it working good now.

I want to take advantage of the feature, but as it is, I have to click menu, tools, record audio just to get started.
