Feb 16, 2010Has anyone paired the Freeform with a Kia Soul? I'm looking at the phone from MetroPCS as a cheap texter, but I've had bad luck with a previous Samsung connecting to my Soul.

Samsung :: Freeform R350 - Where To Get PST And Dll File For The Phone?
Mar 1, 2010So I currently have the Samsung Freeform (SCH R350). It's an OK phone but to be honest the MetroPCS Firmware is just horrible. I'd like to put the Alltel or some other carriers firmware but I don't have a clue on how to do anything like this and I can't find any info anywhere. First off I did find out about something called Samsung PST ans PST Lite a friend from my trade school said that those are the utilities. I'd need and that I want PST not PST Lite, another thing he said I would need is to acquire the Carriers dll file for the specific phone but after 2 nights of searching I found no Samsung SCH R350 dll's anywhere for any Carriers. This is really eating at me and I'd really like to get some progress into this if anybody has any info on this. Please get back to me whether it be in this thread or through PM. I'm not asking for you to hand me the files or information right over just atleast point me in the right direction.

Jul 2, 2010I recently got a MetroPCS Samsung Freeform. The power cable also functions as a USB cable, which I've used before to successfully transfer pictures TO my Mac laptop and ringtones FROM my laptop.
The problem is, now I can't get the phone to go into Mass Storage mode. I go to Phone Settings->PC Connection and set it to "Mass Storage", but it never actually stays set as that. I go back and it defaults to "No conncetion".
How can I get my phone to go back into Mass Storage Mode? I got it to work before!
PS, before anyone asks, Bluetooth is off, and I have a Mac so I can't install the drivers from the CD that came with it. I have a feeling this might have something to do with the Service Menu. (when you go to Settings then press # then type in the code). I might have accidentally changed a setting when I was messing around in the service menu
Samsung :: U900 Soul Not Recognizing SIM Card?
Apr 24, 2011A couple of weeks ago I bought an Unlocked Samsung U900 Soul from ebay and it worked perfectly with my T-mobile service here. Then yesterday I decided that I wanted to put java games on it. So I found this video online: [URL]and followed all of the directions. The games didn't work but my phone was still working. Later that night I turned off the phone, took out the sim card, and put the sim card in my other phone which I keep on all night. Then I woke up this morning, put the sim card in the U900 and turned it on. But the screen now keeps saying "Please insert SIM card" and the screen is also showing that I have service bars. This might mean that it is still unlocked. I am guessing that the procedures in the video had to do something with the phone now not recognizing the sim card.

Jul 4, 2010Yesterday, I switched to MetroPCS. I got the Samsung Freeform phone. I am having a heck of a time trying to install java games on it. Someone on another site suggested that I install "BITPIM" and try it that way. I cannot figure out how to do it. Can somebody shed some light on this. If not, I guess I will have to return the phone back to MetroPCS. This phone uses the "BREW" platform.

Oct 28, 2010I just got a Freeform 2. I tried the subsidy code as per other forums. However, when I access the hidden menu, there is no Dial-Up Networking (DUN) option. The Freeform 1 had DUN.
Is there a way I can install it/enable it? Perhaps there's another hidden option I'm missing?

May 14, 2010Hello! I am new to this thread and the freeform phone (which I love by the way!) I am currently having issues with my Music Library. Being that I was so spoiled by my ipod there are a few things that are bothering me about the Music Player.
1. My songs are not in alphabetical order.
2. Song information that is in the file is missing (Artist Name & Album)
3. Shuffle does not change. The songs are shuffled only once and stay in that order indefinably.
Can anyone offer any kind of advice or point me in the right direction to solve this issue. and which method best works for adding music. I currently do the Drag and Drop from Itunes to my music folder on my card and I use the sync feature on Windows Media Player (SOMETIMES BECAUSE WMP IS NO AS EASY TO NAVIGATE AND FIND THINGS AS ITUNES

I followed the directions, installed the Studio, installed the USB drivers and then connected my phone. My pc see's the phone as a removeable disk drive but PC Studio will not connect to the phone, but the phone says it is connected.

Aug 6, 2010I am wondering if there is a way for bluetooth DUN mode? I have it enabled over USB cable, but I would like to use it over Bluetooth. All of the phones specifications say DUN is a supported Bluetooth profile, but it is not in the list anywhere. I can live with plugging it in, but it would be so much easier to do it over Bluetooth.

Aug 4, 2010My Samsung Freeform will only go on when the charger is plugged in and then unless I;m pressing buttons and navigating the phone it turns off. It will not stay on with the charger plugged in nor will it charge. The phone was working fine when I took it back from an Ex-girlfriend.I took the battery out to get the ECN # and when I put it back in it wouldn't turn on. I also tried resetting the phone in the Menu > phone settings > security > reset phone but iy didn't make a difference.

Apr 17, 2011I have a Samsung SCH-R350 (Freeform) and awhile back I was in the NAM program screen (when you dial 47*86..etc..) and I found one called "theme," thought it would be smart to change it from "2" to "3" (hoping there was a hidden theme as none can be downloaded for this phone) and it restarted the phone. When it turned back on where it says "contacts/messages/menu" (pretty much all the words/letters) are kinda fuzzy lookin and if you do anything like go into the menu, messages, contacts or dial ANYTHING then the phone just restarts. You can still go on to the internet and applications/@metro (right or left arrow key) but anything else restarts the phone. How could I go about fixing this??? Should I just take it into a METRO store and lie about how it happened?? I can't get calls or make calls (not even with a bluetooth and voiceservices). What should I do as my CDMAWorkshop's demo time expired so now I only have CDMATools 4 and QPST?

Jul 19, 2011I've lost the 4 digit user selected security lock code which is required to reset the phone.Virgin says Samsung should help recover the code and Samsung says Virgin should help recover the code.A while back, I found a code on the web that allowed me to go into a service menu which listed among other things the lock code. I can't find any information on how to get back into that menu.
By the way, yes, I tried the last 4 digits of the phone number, 0000, 9999, 1234.If anyone knows how to get into the service menu on this phone
The only codes I've found so far are:##786# which gets into an info menu but doesn't have the lock code.##33284# which requires a 6-digit security code which I don't know.
Samsung :: Rant M540 - No Samsung Logo On Start Up Screen?
May 8, 2010I have a display problem with one of my two phone. When you power on the phone the Samsung logo appear and off after that but the phone boot up OK just don't have any on the screen, I can make call or receive OK. I disassemble both phones and swap the main board and find out that nothing wrong with the LCD Screen but the Main board. The phone have BK03 bin and I loaded with CB23 bin and it working good now.

Apr 21, 2011I recently bought a used Samsung Flight online and it appears to be locked. The pictures in the posting all showed it unlocked, connected to Rogers etc and the phone is exactly as shown in the posting based on the nicks/marks on it. However, when I boot it up I am faced with a passcode. I've tried the standard 0000, 1234, 12345, 00000 etc but no luck. I've also messaged the seller but have not received a reply as yet.

Nov 8, 2011A couple years ago my wife bought a Samsung Instinct M810. I flashed the phone to Verizon so she could use PagePlus. Everything has been working fine but the phone has really been beaten up. About the only thing that still works is the speed dial function.
A few days ago I found another Instinct in mint condition for her. I have been trying to flash it to Verizon with limited luck. I activated the phone with PagePlus and received a phone number ( I was planning on porting her number when I had everything working).The phone connects to Verizon but it can't connect to OTP. If I dial a number I get connected to Verizon with the message "Welcome to Verizon, unfortunately we cannot identify your phone, etc."
The problem is that when I dial *22890 (or any *228xx number)the signal bars vanish and there is an indicator showing no service and the call is dropped. After the call is dropped the signal returns and I can again connect to Verizon. I have tried several PRL's, even the one on my wife's current phone but it doesn't make any difference. I didn't have this much trouble with her other phone so I am at a loss.
