View 2 RepliesHas anyone paired the Freeform with a Kia Soul? I'm looking at the phone from MetroPCS as a cheap texter, but I've had bad luck with a previous Samsung connecting to my Soul.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAlright, I have just purchased a Freeform (SCH R350) and it came bundled with the New PC Studio. I followed the directions, installed the Studio, installed the USB drivers and then connected my phone. My pc see's the phone as a removeable disk drive but PC Studio will not connect to the phone, but the phone says it is connected.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a new phone (CDMA) and am considering the Samsung Freeform (R350) and the Samsung Caliber (R850). The Caliber will cost me about 3x as much as the Freeform. I don't really need a smartphone. For those who own a Freeform, how stable is it? Does it crash or fail to receive calls/texts? Does it do screwy things?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I currently have the Samsung Freeform (SCH R350). It's an OK phone but to be honest the MetroPCS Firmware is just horrible. I'd like to put the Alltel or some other carriers firmware but I don't have a clue on how to do anything like this and I can't find any info anywhere. First off I did find out about something called Samsung PST ans PST Lite a friend from my trade school said that those are the utilities. I'd need and that I want PST not PST Lite, another thing he said I would need is to acquire the Carriers dll file for the specific phone but after 2 nights of searching I found no Samsung SCH R350 dll's anywhere for any Carriers. This is really eating at me and I'd really like to get some progress into this if anybody has any info on this. Please get back to me whether it be in this thread or through PM. I'm not asking for you to hand me the files or information right over just atleast point me in the right direction.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI am wondering if there is a way for bluetooth DUN mode? I have it enabled over USB cable, but I would like to use it over Bluetooth. All of the phones specifications say DUN is a supported Bluetooth profile, but it is not in the list anywhere. I can live with plugging it in, but it would be so much easier to do it over Bluetooth.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way I can reset the lifetime calls timer? I didn't even notice I had already used the phone for 3 hrs, and This phone is way to small for my fingers. I'd like to return it and get a bigger phone. any suggestions? Metro PCS wont take it back unless its under 60 minutes.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got a MetroPCS Samsung Freeform. The power cable also functions as a USB cable, which I've used before to successfully transfer pictures TO my Mac laptop and ringtones FROM my laptop.
The problem is, now I can't get the phone to go into Mass Storage mode. I go to Phone Settings->PC Connection and set it to "Mass Storage", but it never actually stays set as that. I go back and it defaults to "No conncetion".
How can I get my phone to go back into Mass Storage Mode? I got it to work before!
PS, before anyone asks, Bluetooth is off, and I have a Mac so I can't install the drivers from the CD that came with it. I have a feeling this might have something to do with the Service Menu. (when you go to Settings then press # then type in the code). I might have accidentally changed a setting when I was messing around in the service menu
I've got a customer with a crack on the outer plastic over the LCD on her phone. Is there a place I can order a replacement housing for this phone? I haven't seen anything in my google searches.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been Googling to try to find an adapter or cable to connect to the internal antenna port on the PCB, but I don't know what the industry terminology for such a connector is, so I don't even know what to Google. Can someone tell me what I need and/or point me to a site where I can buy it? My phone has no external antenna port and an inductive adapter/cradle is not good enough. Yes, I will be very careful and provide strain relief, etc., when I hook it up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung SCH-R350 (Freeform) and awhile back I was in the NAM program screen (when you dial 47*86..etc..) and I found one called "theme," thought it would be smart to change it from "2" to "3" (hoping there was a hidden theme as none can be downloaded for this phone) and it restarted the phone. When it turned back on where it says "contacts/messages/menu" (pretty much all the words/letters) are kinda fuzzy lookin and if you do anything like go into the menu, messages, contacts or dial ANYTHING then the phone just restarts. You can still go on to the internet and applications/@metro (right or left arrow key) but anything else restarts the phone. How could I go about fixing this??? Should I just take it into a METRO store and lie about how it happened?? I can't get calls or make calls (not even with a bluetooth and voiceservices). What should I do as my CDMAWorkshop's demo time expired so now I only have CDMATools 4 and QPST?

View 15 Replies View RelatedIve had my 9700 since December...never had a problem until a week or so ago. I am suddenly not able to receive any type of MMS. My phone receives the message but when I open it all I see is a small red X near the top of the screen, and if theres text in the message, I also get a message "Text attachment missing or invalid" right below the red X. However, if I forward the message to myself, it works and I can then see the pic and/or text that was sent.I am on ATT, OS 5.0.0.405 (from the factory), and have an unlimited message/data plan.
I can SEND MMS just fine. Something I noticed is that when I go into my message folder, theres an icon of an envelope with a small arrow pointing to the right of the message (see pics below). Also, my friend said she tried to send me a couple of MMS pics last week, but after a few minutes, a red X showed up next to her sent messages instead of a check mark (which indicates message sent successfully). I never received those messages. I also had her try resending the pic several times, and even had her try to take and send new pics, and also had her try to send older pics that have been on her phone for a while to see if the pic she was sending me was somehow corrupt and if it was just new pics that had the problem or old pics. Pics I received fine months ago are not coming through now. Everyone else she sends the pics to gets them just fine. She is sending from a Curve 8310.Ive tried a battery pull, SIM card pull, have had service books resent, and have run a diagnostic test from options > mobile network > menu > diagnostics test > menu > run. It all seems fine.
My E72 freezes and kind of restarts (no pin needed) several times during the week. It seems to be related to FM radio.

I've set the password counter to 30 minutes as I don't want to enter the password every time I need to use my phone. However, sometimes I'd like to password-lock the phone immediately (like today when I would have liked to leave it on a table in a client's office during lunch break). I haven't been able to find such a functionality. Am I correct it does not exist?
so far I've put threaded SMS onto my phone (and it feels like a brand new phone!), but I know there's all kinds of things that you can do to customize the phone this way. what kind of tweaks have you done with your phone? I'd like some ideas to play around with possibly.also, is there a way to copy files FROM the phone using a2uploader? I would like to read the customize.xml file but it always gives a READ ERROR then I have to unplug the phone and redo the connection and I get nowhere.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSince the dawn of time (almost) Apple has used the 30-pin connector, which was originally used for laptop docking stations, and of course the iPhone inherited that port. Now, I can see why they have it on the iPhone since almost every portable Apple products use it and that's good for accessories like sound systems and various other products. Now, I remember hearing about a new phone standard for cables/chargers with all parties using the same port. Apple among others have joined. So, what's gonna happen to the 30-pin connector? Are there any real benefits of using the 30-pin connector over a USB solution, like micro USB?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAre ther other users of the incredible S who find that the USB connector is loose. Or is this normal for this smartphone??
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter noticing that my normal cables aren't working right, (I usually use a dock) I've been trying to figure out why. Finally found the cause. The dock is faulty. Pic's are at the bottom. The right side of it is pushing up more as you can see in the pics. It's firmly in that position, doesn't wiggle or anything and the phone still charges and music can be played using the dock. But the normal cables are all acting really dodgy now. If u push them in they'll connect for a second while your pushing and then disconnect when you let go... This has been getting worse and worse and obviously the dock has slowly been damaging the connector inside the phone.

My phone stopped charging one day so I sent it in to Sony. They sent it back saying "physical damage, glue on connector broken".Now this phone is only a few months old.It has never been dropped or anything. If there was any damage to the connector, it came from plugging it in in a normal manner. So I called them back up and said that there is no way I caused any damage to the phone. The customer service person said that he would resubmit it and that I would hear back from them in 24 hours.
3 days later after hearing nothing, I called them and the guy told me that nothing was ever resubmitted and that they don't even do that.SO Sony sold me a phone that broke under 2 months of normal use, refuses to fix the problem, and then told me something completely untrue just to get me off the phone. That being said, has anyone had the glue break on their phone and is there anyway to fix it? I could deal with doing the battery swap and recharge thing but I really want to be able to update to gingerbread.
