HTC :: Flashing Touch Pro Sprint To MetroPCS
Apr 17, 2010
A friend of mine just gave me his Touch Pro he no longer uses and i found out that i could switch to MetroPCS. Knowing this i went to the store to get it done and she told me it couldn't be done and she was like "i can flash it but i can't program it to make it work with Metro" so i walked out disappointed.Doing my own research using the web i've read many stories (even here in this forum) about people flashing the same kind of phone to MetroPCS and so i decided to do it myself, well not really but maybe get some ideas and know the process so i can go back to the store and tell them how do it.
As much as i read through i've got the ideas and concepts used during such flashing. At the store she told me after being flashed the MMS and WEB services wouldn't be available, i had no problem with that and now i found out that you can get such services with a bit more of effort.I know how to get the SPC.is the phone EVDO or AWS?which would be the best prl file for the phone?if i ever get it done i could just go the store and tell them to get its ESN into the system and make calls? If the info for all this has been already posted before could you direct to the right direction to them

I am assisting a good friend of mine with flashing his Instinct to Metro. His Instinct went down and he bought another on ebay. I am trying to save him a few dollars as he has a lot on his plate with his mortgage and all. I owned an Instinct at one time so I am familiar with the "debug menu" etc. I am also pretty tech savvy and am always tweaking my devices...however have never flashed a phone. I understand I may need QTSP...If you have a link for download it would be appreciated. If you have a link to a step by step or could pass on instructions it would be greatly appreciated.

I posted this in the wrong forum earlier like an idiot. If you see it please disregard. I didn't know how to get it deleted, I'm still a newbie as if you couldn't tell. My Sprint Touch Pro's touchscreen slowly died today. And I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I should do. I bought it on eBay and apparently the warranty is non-transferable so that's void. I have it on Boost so I'm guessing going to Sprint is out of the question also.

I have a Samsung Code from MetroPCS. I am running Windows Mobile 6.5. I have searched everywhere and can not find my 16 digit security code. I can tell you it is not the following codes.
01F2030F5F678FF9
2FF811282FF9F3F6
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
0000000000000000
Does anyone know another code? Is there a method someone could help me with so I can find it?

I have a Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2 with a Bad Sprint ESN. As I'm sure you know, this phone has a SIM card slot. I know these phones can be unlocked for use on GSM networks using programs like RhodiumW.Does it matter that this phone has a Bad ESN? Would this prevent me from unlocking this phone and using it on a GSM network (T-Mobile, AT&T)?

I'm obviously new here and I'm pretty much clueless about what I need to do. I have unlocked my Touch Pro 2 and have tried to call into Boost Mobile Customer Support multiple times any they will not activate it because it's not 'Boost Equipment'. I have told them my new phone is a gift and I don't know what it is and things of that nature but they ALWAYS ask me for the DEC number and I'm not sure how to get around that. I currently have a Sanyo Incognito hooked up to my Boost Mobile Unlimited Monthly account. I need to know if anyone can help me get it activated? I have spent way too much money on this phone to just have it sit there and do nothing.

after arguing with sprint for hours and trying to "legally" get PAM added to my account with no avail, i got tired of arguing and hung up and decided to see if i could get around it on a BB while still having a decent plan.well you can.
These instructions are at your own risk, and while i was able to do it to both a curve and a pearl, and im assuming since all BB's are about the same it should work on the tour and 8830, it's at your own risk.
I am not posting this from my normal username, as it's a little risky for me to do so so please know that i've had plenty of posts on here and been around since '04 Ok so here goes.Step 1: Install QPST 2.7 build 215 (this is very important, no other one will work, find it yourself )
Step 2: Obtain your MSL/SPC from Sprint (if you dont already have it)Step 3: Get your PowerVision Username (if you dont know it, you can do ##xxxxxx and press call from the homescreen x=msl/spc, it's the [URL] in the list)Step 4: Start BBDM and QPST Configuration at the same time, then once you add the port to QPST, selct "Service Programming" from the drop down menu.
Step 5: Select your phone in the list, dont worry it will act like it doesnt know the chipset model, select SURF6300 BB from the list and say OK
Step 6: go to the MIP tab Step 7: Create a new MIP profile that looks just like this (except in the NAI and Tethered NAI, you'll enter your PV username) -- once you're done you will have two profiles, the first one im assuming is for provisioning and i wouldnt mess with it.
Step 8: click "OK" then "write to phone", it will give an error about the model changing on com X, do you want to close the connection?, say NO it will write anyway, then you will get another error about the phone not responding.. that's because it rebooted.Step 9: once the phone reboots, create a manual DUN connection (i assume if you're on here and understand how to use PST you can make a DUN connection ) with the connection as follows:
Phone number: #777 Username/password fields are blank..

Yesterday, I switched to MetroPCS. I got the Samsung Freeform phone. I am having a heck of a time trying to install java games on it. Someone on another site suggested that I install "BITPIM" and try it that way. I cannot figure out how to do it. Can somebody shed some light on this. If not, I guess I will have to return the phone back to MetroPCS. This phone uses the "BREW" platform.

I've seen a few treads addressing Wifi Calling, but they typically seem to address it in combination with other features (VoLTE, Band 12, etc) and not specifically on MetroPCS (yes, it is T-Mobile). My question:
I have both a Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. I have provided my E911 address for both phones and I can get WiFi calling to work on the 5X but not on the 6P. Both phones are rooted with the "N" build and both have the original radio (from "D") flashed for band 12.

I have a Samsung SCH-R350 (Freeform) and awhile back I was in the NAM program screen (when you dial 47*86..etc..) and I found one called "theme," thought it would be smart to change it from "2" to "3" (hoping there was a hidden theme as none can be downloaded for this phone) and it restarted the phone. When it turned back on where it says "contacts/messages/menu" (pretty much all the words/letters) are kinda fuzzy lookin and if you do anything like go into the menu, messages, contacts or dial ANYTHING then the phone just restarts. You can still go on to the internet and applications/@metro (right or left arrow key) but anything else restarts the phone. How could I go about fixing this??? Should I just take it into a METRO store and lie about how it happened?? I can't get calls or make calls (not even with a bluetooth and voiceservices). What should I do as my CDMAWorkshop's demo time expired so now I only have CDMATools 4 and QPST?

i've been searching all over the internet for the userlock code for the Samsung Freeform III, it's not the one it usually is for MetroPCS. i would like to get into the settings and be able to download mp3's and images via the web browser, and even possibly tether via USB or Bluetooth. If anyone knows this code, or can help me figure out what it is. That would be great.

Problem Description I was in a middle of a workout with the MOTOACTV. It was connected wirelessly to my heart rate monitor. During the workout the UI became high latency and almost completely unresponsive. It would take 3 4 presses to the Power Key to get the device to wake up. When device did wake up, the CapTouch UI would not accept any swipe or touch gestures. I finally was able to power the device down hoping for a graceful reset. However I was concerned that I was never going to get to the point of getting to the power down screen. seen this issue on other Android devices and know that there are times when a battery pull is needed due to a deadlock or a process gone haywire.

I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom. These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.

How desperate is this
Spoken by Apple Store Genius Bar employee directly to a customer in Jacksonville, FL. In a location which, ironically, is covered by Sprint 4G. Surely Apple doesn't need to misrepresent the competition?

I recently had a shop flash my HTC evo from Sprint to Cricket. Everything went well and the talk/text/and 3G internet all work. The thing is that Google Maps, Android market, and streaming videos, don't work. If I wanted to revert back to Sprint and sign up with Sprint, how do I go about getting my phone back to how it was?

I have a pawn shop that called me and asked me if there's anyway to deactive a used iPhone 4s so they can resell. The Pawn shop is required to hold all products for at least 15 days for police to evaluate and see if it's been reported stolen. They've gone through this process and have tried contacting the seller to deactivate his account (which he apparently forgot to or didn't know he had to). Is there any way I can clear phone to be used as a fresh new device?

I have an iPhone 4S on Sprint. My experience with the phone has been mixed. At first, the phone kept turning on and off, but all I had to do was have it replaced. Now, my new iPhone doesn't connect to the Sprint network, even when it records two bars and 3G connection. I am in my office, but everyone else on Sprint has great service.
The day after I got my phone, a tower went down near my house. I called Sprint, and they said it would be fixed the day after my 14-day warranty expired.
I have tried resetting the network settings, dialing ##873283# over Wi-Fi and 3G, and resetting the phone. Nothing works. As I said before, all the other people here have great service. They all have either AT&T or Sprint, and almost all of them have an iPhone.
Info:
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1
