I have a pawn shop that called me and asked me if there's anyway to deactive a used iPhone 4s so they can resell. The Pawn shop is required to hold all products for at least 15 days for police to evaluate and see if it's been reported stolen. They've gone through this process and have tried contacting the seller to deactivate his account (which he apparently forgot to or didn't know he had to). Is there any way I can clear phone to be used as a fresh new device?
after arguing with sprint for hours and trying to "legally" get PAM added to my account with no avail, i got tired of arguing and hung up and decided to see if i could get around it on a BB while still having a decent plan.well you can.
These instructions are at your own risk, and while i was able to do it to both a curve and a pearl, and im assuming since all BB's are about the same it should work on the tour and 8830, it's at your own risk.
I am not posting this from my normal username, as it's a little risky for me to do so so please know that i've had plenty of posts on here and been around since '04 Ok so here goes.Step 1: Install QPST 2.7 build 215 (this is very important, no other one will work, find it yourself )
Step 2: Obtain your MSL/SPC from Sprint (if you dont already have it)Step 3: Get your PowerVision Username (if you dont know it, you can do ##xxxxxx and press call from the homescreen x=msl/spc, it's the [URL] in the list)Step 4: Start BBDM and QPST Configuration at the same time, then once you add the port to QPST, selct "Service Programming" from the drop down menu.
Step 5: Select your phone in the list, dont worry it will act like it doesnt know the chipset model, select SURF6300 BB from the list and say OK
Step 6: go to the MIP tab Step 7: Create a new MIP profile that looks just like this (except in the NAI and Tethered NAI, you'll enter your PV username) -- once you're done you will have two profiles, the first one im assuming is for provisioning and i wouldnt mess with it.
Step 8: click "OK" then "write to phone", it will give an error about the model changing on com X, do you want to close the connection?, say NO it will write anyway, then you will get another error about the phone not responding.. that's because it rebooted.Step 9: once the phone reboots, create a manual DUN connection (i assume if you're on here and understand how to use PST you can make a DUN connection ) with the connection as follows:
Phone number: #777 Username/password fields are blank..
I have had my phone stolen, is there any way to deactivate my phone to stop someone using it again. i have already called my provider to prevent people using my number and network
I am trying to deactivate my old i phone from my account. It is no longer on Find my i phone or i tunes but when my daughter tries to set up the phone it keeps asking for my apple ID. I have had to reset my password several times as it keeps not recognising my password, The phone has been unlocked and reset to factory settings but we cannot get past this problem.
I sold my iphone because it broke. I now have a new phone that is not a AT&T phone and want to use it in place of my iphone. However it still has the data plan activated and will not let me change it on my account online. Can I change away from my data plan since I will no longer need it? It appears some people in the thread below were able to get rid of their data plan and still use their iphone. I dont want to use the iphone anymore but can I do this as well? What will i need to do this? Do I need a AT&T branded phone to register first? http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=647556
Is there a possibility to deactivate the Nokia-welcome picture (two shaking hands after input of the PIN)? I could deactivate then welcome sound but I find no possibility to deactivate the welcome picture.
I've transferred my Points of Interest (POI) to the phone memory, I've Open the file and saved them all into the Phone, then when I go the Nokia Maps, I've create a new collection. Now, how can I select all the POI that are in the predefined "folder/collection" to the new one that I've created? One by one? That seems impossible to me. How can I deactivate the visualization of my POI in the Map? And finally, after I've defined a Route, how can I browse the map without stopping/cancel the route?
Is there any way to deactivate the "feature" that if 10 wong password blackberry clear all data?.
Dont know to whom it happened that feature i had a lot of problem with that. Fortunately the company is changing blackberry for Iphone, but i want to know if is there any way to deactivate that?
know if the slide lock can be deactivated. Or if you can at least answer a call without using the slide lock. It would be nice if you could just press a button to answeran incoming call, especially when you are driving.

I am struggling to find out how to deactivate my Enterprise Accounts. I made a mistake in setting this up and now I want to remove the accounts, but I dont know how to.
Spoken by Apple Store Genius Bar employee directly to a customer in Jacksonville, FL. In a location which, ironically, is covered by Sprint 4G. Surely Apple doesn't need to misrepresent the competition?
I have an iPhone 4S on Sprint. My experience with the phone has been mixed. At first, the phone kept turning on and off, but all I had to do was have it replaced. Now, my new iPhone doesn't connect to the Sprint network, even when it records two bars and 3G connection. I am in my office, but everyone else on Sprint has great service.
The day after I got my phone, a tower went down near my house. I called Sprint, and they said it would be fixed the day after my 14-day warranty expired.
I have tried resetting the network settings, dialing ##873283# over Wi-Fi and 3G, and resetting the phone. Nothing works. As I said before, all the other people here have great service. They all have either AT&T or Sprint, and almost all of them have an iPhone.
I called Sprint earlier and asked them to unlock the GSM portion of my 4S. I told them I will be doing extensive traveling for a while and I don't want to pay roaming. I am a customer of good standing, but I thought they'd put up a lot of resistance. Lo and behold, when I called in, the girl checked for me and told me that my phone has been unlocked all along. Even though that was the first time I called in.
(I don't know if it has to do with the fact that I got my phone the day of the launch at an Apple Store. Rumors on the Internet said that the first batch of Sprint iPhones were accidentally unlocked. But I thought that would have been re-locked durning software update or something. Besides, I have dropped my phone recently and replaced with a new one through AppleCare +. So I'm baffled as to how this phone has been unlocked all along.)
Anyway, back to my point. I want to bring the phone to the UK and use a local sim card. Is there anyway I can tell if the phone is indeed unlocked? Can i tell from itunes or somethng? I don't want to bring it there only to find it still locked. I'd rather buy a cheap pay-as-you-go phone locally and not bring a locked iPhone with me. I plan on doing everything above the board. No jailbreakng.
So, I have an iPhone 4, and I've recently seen that the only phisical difference between the iPhone 4 and the 4S is that the 4S has two antenas (one black line in each corner of the phone) and the 4 has only one (one black line in each of the bottom corners of the phone only). But I have a 4, and it seems to have two antennas. So, what's up with that?
I have an N8. Call diverting in if Busy and out of reach r activated and cannot be deactivated. I don't even know the number that's been diverting to. I formatted my SD, soft reset, hard reset and I wanted to reinstall the software using Nokia software updater, but it seems that its not supported anymore by Nokia.
I thought that the X7 is supposed to use the proximity sensor to send the screen black during a call because it is next to your face. My phone automatically puts the screen black when I make a call, even if the phone is on the desk or held out in space. Either way, it is very rare for me to be able to convince the phone to bring the screen display back up, ( to do things like enter little things like pin codes ). I flip it around, hold it up to the lights, put it against something, take it away, press every part of the screen. Is there any way of setting the phone not to go black during a call?
I have S6 (no root) and i have the latest ROM updates. I noticed that after the last update there is something appear under "Device administrators" called "ELMagent". when i click on it and tried to deactivate it i found the "Deactivate" tab is disabled or grayed.
