I just purchased the Samsung Omnia i900 cell phone from this one guy on Craiglist.com. This is a Verizon Phone and the guy had it flashed to Metro PCS. I bought this phone, thought I could use it for Page Plus Wireless. I had my old number ported over to the phone already and now I can't make a call out.
My Questions:
The ESN number is clean, how come I can't make a call out?
Is it because the phone was flashed to a different network and I have to flash it back to Verizon Network before I can use it?
If I have to flash it back, can someone show me how to flash this phone back to verizon network?
I have already asked both verizon and metro to flash the phone for me and they won't do it.
A couple years ago my wife bought a Samsung Instinct M810. I flashed the phone to Verizon so she could use PagePlus. Everything has been working fine but the phone has really been beaten up. About the only thing that still works is the speed dial function.
A few days ago I found another Instinct in mint condition for her. I have been trying to flash it to Verizon with limited luck. I activated the phone with PagePlus and received a phone number ( I was planning on porting her number when I had everything working).The phone connects to Verizon but it can't connect to OTP. If I dial a number I get connected to Verizon with the message "Welcome to Verizon, unfortunately we cannot identify your phone, etc."
The problem is that when I dial *22890 (or any *228xx number)the signal bars vanish and there is an indicator showing no service and the call is dropped. After the call is dropped the signal returns and I can again connect to Verizon. I have tried several PRL's, even the one on my wife's current phone but it doesn't make any difference. I didn't have this much trouble with her other phone so I am at a loss.

(I'm on PagePlus using the $30/month for 1200 min, 1200 texts, and 50mb data.) That leaves me choosing between the Droid 2 and the Samsung Epic 4G. Question: Can I flash a Galaxy S Sprint Epic 4G onto Verizon to use PagePlus? I know Sprint uses CDMA, which leads me to believe the Epic could work on Verizon's network (which PagePlus uses), but beyond that I'm clueless. Can anyone tell me if this is possible or not, and if so, where to look for more information?
I have flashed my Cingular 3125 extensively but it is getting too old and back won't stay on. I have modified all I can on Blackjack II (sgh-i617) w/o flash. View 1 Replies View RelatedOk today my phone was sitting on my desk not being used at all. I hadn't used it in about 30 min before that and battery was at 75%. So i was sitting there and the screen turns on by itself I thought ok phone call or text. I try to unlock the screen I noticed there was no signal bars red x and screen would not unlock it was frozen then about 5 seconds the phone turns off.
Now it will not power on and I have tried 3 known good chargers but the led in the top flashes red. If I press power down button led stays solid red as long as I hold power button on when on charger. If I unplug from charger power button does nothing not even power + down or up volume. I even tried little yellow reset button next to sim card nothing. Is my 4 month old phone shot? The sony companion app on pc does not find phone either this blows.
I have a strange problem on my G920T that's been bugging me for a while. After flashing a custom ROM, my EFS was messed up. I had backed it up prior to any custom ROMs. All works well n the phone except whenever it's rebooted it fails to register to T-Mobile's network.
So I have to bring up the dialer, type in *#2263# and choose Band Selection, then LTE, then LTE All (which is already asterisked) and tap it again. Only then will it register on the network and then works fine. I've tried everything under the sun including restoring EFS backup, flashing back to stock, etc., to no avail.
Any script that automatically runs the above process after reboot. I don't know enough to do so, and I'm not sure one exists.

Also the Led light keeps on flashing red continuously. Iam in South Africa and received the phone as a present which was bought from Verizon. I recently upgraded to a bold through Orange (UK Network Provider), phone has been great so far, I have had it for a week. However, I made a call and came back to my phone to find a blank screen and the red light flashing/staying constant intermittently. The phone does not turn on, I have tried taking battery out, sim out, memory card out, attaching it to my computer (which it does not recognize as it needs to be on) charging it etc. I have tried that alt, cap and del reset mechanism too.

I've just tried to update my BBerry to v5.0 via a USB cable connected to my laptop. This was because when synching to my laptop, the device manager software indicated updates available. I've previously upgraded to v5.0 no problem.However, during the update, a very aptly named "fatal error" occurred. my Bberry is now UNUSABLE! I used phone and noticed the battery indicator showing 1 red bar the phone bleeped low battery and turned off. I've done all normal trouble shooting tips still the same. I've bought original Sony Ericsson charger and battery that hasn't worked either.
