View 1 RepliesI want a state of the art android phone with a physical keyboard, that a poor college student can afford the plan for. (I'm on PagePlus using the $30/month for 1200 min, 1200 texts, and 50mb data.) That leaves me choosing between the Droid 2 and the Samsung Epic 4G. I prefer the Epic because of the super 16gb micro SD. My current phone is a Samsung, and it's served me well for about 2 years now despite being dropped all the time
Question: Can I flash a Galaxy S Sprint Epic 4G onto Verizon to use PagePlus? I know Sprint uses CDMA, which leads me to believe the Epic could work on Verizon's network (which PagePlus uses), but beyond that I'm clueless. Can anyone tell me if this is possible or not, and if so, where to look for more information?
my SGSII losing its capability of using 2/3G networks - (i.e. no green and red arrows). I can connect to wireless networks but that's it, which is pretty frustrating when I'm out and about in town, out of range of wifi, and want to check something on the Internet, etc.So now I'm faced with the unwelcome prospect of sending my phone back to Vodafone to get repaired which means 10 working days without my phon? would flashing my SGSII bring back my 2/3G capability? If this was the case, then I'd obviously do it, and be saved from sending my phone away for 2 weeks. Currently I am on Stock ROM, 2.3.3?

I have to sell my SGS6. Now I want to unroot it, how to do? (I am currently on Tyrannus 5.1, TWRP and Root)
My plan would be:
- install Odin and USB Drivers
- download latest official firmware (Germany 01.09.2015) from sammobile
- reboot to download mode
- flash firmware via odin
- factory reset
- wipe cache
- reboot
thats it?
And btw, is the red lettering on the samsung splash screen if u power on your phone gone if i am on stock again or will this never disappear?
I have tried several times to flash to KG6 (I think it is) 2.3.4Every time it will show I have android version 2.3.3So can a 3 UK locked phone stop me flashing the firmware of choice?

View 8 Replies View RelatedA couple years ago my wife bought a Samsung Instinct M810. I flashed the phone to Verizon so she could use PagePlus. Everything has been working fine but the phone has really been beaten up. About the only thing that still works is the speed dial function.
A few days ago I found another Instinct in mint condition for her. I have been trying to flash it to Verizon with limited luck. I activated the phone with PagePlus and received a phone number ( I was planning on porting her number when I had everything working). The phone connects to Verizon but it can't connect to OTP. If I dial a number I get connected to Verizon with the message "Welcome to Verizon, unfortunately we cannot identify your phone, etc."
The problem is that when I dial *22890 (or any *228xx number)the signal bars vanish and there is an indicator showing no service and the call is dropped. After the call is dropped the signal returns and I can again connect to Verizon. I have tried several PRL's, even the one on my wife's current phone but it doesn't make any difference. I didn't have this much trouble with her other phone so I am at a loss.
I want to flash to G920FXXU1AOD4 from G920FXXU1AOE3. I tried to use Odin 1.85 and 3.04.
This is the error that I'm getting in Odin 1.85:

Why can't I flash to this firmware?
I just bought a S6 to use Samsung Pay.
Received it today, fist thing I had to do was update it from 5.0.2. So I used the OTA update from t-mobile option (as it offered it as soon as I turned the phone on and connected to Wifi).
I click the "Restart and apply update" when it had finished downloading, set the phone down, browse the internet for a little and notice it was hanging on the Samsung logo.
I try to turn it off and on, nothing works. I try entering recovery mode, won't let me.So I then download and try manually flashing 5.1.1 through ODIN.
Everything says "PASS" in ODIN, it reboots and gets to the Samsung logo, shows the android robot, says "installing updates" but when the bar reaches about 45% it switches to "erasing" then goes back to getting stuck on the Samsung Logo.
What can I do ? I really don't want to trip knox as Pay is the sole reason I bought this stupid phone, all other Stock ROMS now fail odin and G920TUVU3DOI1_G920TTMB3DOI1_G920TUVU3DOI1_HOME.tar is just doing the Install then erase thing.
My wife would like to be able to skip to the previous/next track using the volume + and - buttons of her S6 headset (the original headset that came in the box). The phone is running the latest stock firmware, unrooted, still locked. Is it possible to make it happen through an app, whether it's an app that is dedicated to that function or a music player app that has the option built-in ? I have the feeling this has to be activated in the rom itself.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just purchased the Samsung Omnia i900 cell phone from this one guy on Craiglist.com. This is a Verizon Phone and the guy had it flashed to Metro PCS. I bought this phone, thought I could use it for Page Plus Wireless. I had my old number ported over to the phone already and now I can't make a call out.
My Questions:
The ESN number is clean, how come I can't make a call out?
Is it because the phone was flashed to a different network and I have to flash it back to Verizon Network before I can use it?
If I have to flash it back, can someone show me how to flash this phone back to verizon network?
I have already asked both verizon and metro to flash the phone for me and they won't do it.
I have flashed my Cingular 3125 extensively but it is getting too old and back won't stay on. I have modified all I can on Blackjack II (sgh-i617) w/o flash. Everythings unlocked Subsidy,CID, etc, experienced and have many tools, just have not been in the loop for awhile.

I use windows 10, I have the kies drivers and am using the phone's original cable ...
Recently I've downloaded the last firmware from Vodafone Spain for the SM-G920F model using the wonderful SamFirm windows exe. The first time I got a ZIP file containing all the partition images and the second time ("Binary Nature" selected) I got the typical four files for the four ODIN'S fields.
Now, here comes the doubt, which of them should I flash? I mean, does the four files format include the PIT file for example? Or there are no differences between doing it using the ZIP file or four files format? Which is the better format/way to install it completely clean?
Is it possible yet to flash different modems/basebands? I am using a G920I on AT&T and would like to flash the AT&T modem.
