My phone is currently rooted, with a different kernel and running deodexed XtreStoLite. How to go back to stock? I want to trade my phone in soon at T-Mobile and I know they'll notice the phone is rooted, since it says "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" when booting up. Everything works fine, though. I know in most people's case that text only shows for bootloop, but mine works fine.
I have installed unikernel on my g925t s6 edge regular edge. Now i need to revert to stock kernel but i can't. If i do a fresh install of the latest build OI1 from odin the flash procedure complete successfully but the phone after that wont boot because it stuck at Samsung logo powered by android. And when i go to download mode Recovery mode is Samsung official and System status is custom. I tried to factory reset with recovery but nothing.
I have also tried to fully wipe the phone with twrp but nothing. After i flash the official lastest build with odin the system status is still custom and the phone is stuck at Samsung logo. I have to flash this kernel again in order to boot the phone. But i need that phone works with stock kernel and stock system. I also did an efs folder wipe, which means i have flashed another efs with odin and after that imei said unknown. Than i have repair imei and have my phone back to function. But i cannot revert to stock...
I flashed to 5.1.1 T-Mobile when it came out, then learned it was a leak and wasn't ready for release yet. Unsurprisingly I'm having issues with System crashing, etc. I tried to flash back to 5.0.2 and I end up in a bootloop.
I'm stuck! The only ROM that seems to work now is 5.1.1, all others get me stuck in a bootloop in which I must use TWRP to flash back to 5.1.1. How to be able to go back to a stable 5.0.2!
I have been modifying my device by installing custom roms rooting etc. I know my warranty is void but my device won't even get recognized in smart manager when entering IMEI. when booted up to odin mode i don't see an option anymore to see "show Barcode". My device is still functional but I want to try to go back to stock official everything. Is there a way to fix this issue by installing or flashing anything? I think its because of the installation of xposed.
I have the Verizon s6 and they replaced the stock browser with chrome. Is there any way to get the stock browser back without root? I don't think root is available for the Verizon s6 yet and I'd really rather have Samsungs browser.
I just got my S6 2 days ago and it already has a problem with the home button. I have to click it 3 times before it actually registers the click. So I have to return it to EE.However I just rooted it via pingpong root. I'm just wondering is there any way to completely unroot it and remove all the traces of root?
I got an m8 from a friend that had it rooted so he could use it unlocked on tmobile. I looked up how to get stock sense back onto it and successfully did that although the device is still rooted with TWRP as the custom recovery. How to get my m8 back to stock. like 100% stock. I want to be able to accept updates from att and have no trouble doing so. SO FAR i tried flashing a recovery image that i found.
I am not able to post links yet but it was the stock recovery firmware base version 1.12.502.18 for ATT from the website andromods which i read is the correct one.
I flashed the recovery image there^^^ and got the red triangle with the ! in it, then my phone restarted about 2 mins later and went back to the rooted sense 6 overlay i had but i still have TWRP on it. I thought i had bricked my phone at this point but it restarted.
So, how can I completely get rid of TWRP? I have a fastboot program already installed.
When I got the phone it had some revolutionary thing on, and people say I need to flash back to stock ROM how would I go about doing this? HTC WildFire (Sim free) (From the UK)
I should have read this forum before I jumped the ship to upgrade to the stock ICS. Now its nothing short by hell for me...
1) Can't detect picture and audio files occasionally 2) Application handcent not able to display contact pictures where are syn from facebook 3) VERY LAG 4) lock screen will strangely change by itself. I had set it as clock, but always sometimes show weather instead... 5) Smaller notification icons
I am sure this list can go on and on, but how to downgrade the firmware back to the previous one. It was gingerbread right? I have to be very honest, I know nothing about rooting, and my HTC Sensation has always been on stock OS only.
I've got to return my phone so I need to return it back to stock, I made a backup when I first rooted my phone and installed the custom recovery, if I flash this backup will it return my phone to stock and get rid of the warning while in bootloader ?
Now I need to use the stock email that comes with the device for work, but I can't seem to find it in the play store. Maybe I'm searching under the wrong name, but how I can get the stock email app back onto my device? Is the stock email even in the play store? If it's not in the play store, any good email app for businesses that uses exchange?
Currently flashing back to stock with the steps given by Heisenberg's step by step guide, number 11, how to flash the factory image.
At the command fastboot flash system C:anglerimagessystem.img and it has sat here for over an hour and a half now with the output of writing 'system'. If I'm not mistaken, my phone is basically bricked at this point, as all I have written to the phone right now is recovery and bootloader really, and since I flashed the stock bootloader that means it is relocked.
Is there any way I can unlock it from here and then flash TWRP again, and then restore one of my backups of my 6P to at least get it working again?
I am on Ex Kernel, and I want to go stock again, and how can I control the focus of the camera? Its really hard to focus something small, the camera focuses the background only in some photos...
Few months back i had installed the Android M preview and then to root the device i had installed a custom Kernel on my Google Nexus 5. Now i have upgraded to the stock MRA58N 6.0.0 ROM manually using the factory images by google. Now i want to know, how can i revert back to the stock kernel. And is flashing stock automatically reverts back to stock kernel? How will i root again on Android 6.0.0 ...
I have my phone charging on my Qi charger on my bedside table overnight. Tasker sets it to "Do Not Disturb" (Priority) mode automatically. That's good...I don't get any email/txt/etc alerts sent to me at night.
However, it seems like with wireless charging the phone charges to 100% and then emits a tone and the screen comes on. Since it's wireless, the Qi pad "disconnects" and the phone starts to slowly drain battery again. At some point (I haven't figured it out yet), the pad or phone decides to charge again to "top up". This then causes a repeat of the tone & screen-on event.
It sounds trivial, but it's waking me up multiple times a night - every night.
Is there any setting (maybe even with Xposed, if that does not require root) to disable the notification of "charging complete"???
I have an AT&T G4 running 5.1 that is rooted, has had xposed installed and various modifications made like apps frozen, pimp my rom, and stuff like that. I want to reset it back to stock firmware. What I want to know is how to flash the stock firmware and how safe is it? Do I need to do any prepping like gradually undoing my xposed modifications prior to flashing? I want to reset my phone to like it was out of the box and do not want to brick it.
I was trying to add a 300k photo to an ad of mine online and got that message. Now my phone storage is only half full - how can I correct this message? Factory reset or an app? I tried Clean master which cleared some cache but that message came back.
