View 2 Repliesi recently got the cyan update for my NL lumia 1520 (yes we have it!)and just since a few days i have been experiencing problems with the stock camera.there is this wonderful feature called <<tap to take photo>> (its been around since wp7)normally you tap the screen, it places a nice square around the place you tapped, it focusses on that spot and then takes a photo.now it just skips the focus and square part and just takes the picture.
this still isnt that bad, cuz of the lumia camera (lumia right, at least the nokia one with recropping and stuff) but whenever i want to take a shot from whatsapp it opens up the stock camera app and it takes bad pictures all over again!its horrible! i didnt spend over 500$ to have a device that cant take proper pictures!and i know its not the cyan update in general because my brother has the 925 and now problems.
I bought a 1520 and jammed it in the sim slot. It works fine but has recently periodically beenunreadable. I tried using tweezers, but was unable to remove it. I'm running dp 8.1.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've just installed WP10, (firmware 02540.00019.15234.50005), and wanted to know if this is the official firmware and not the insider tech preview and if I'm able to go back to WP8.1 if it is the official one.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway for me to roll back to Denim without having a pc connection.
The reason is that im not able to connect my lumia 1520 to the pc. the usb port has to be bad. The phone charges but wont connect. ive tried every combination of everything to get it working and nothing works.
I even went to the Microsoft store and had them look at it. They pretty much confirmed a bad port.
Quick question. Is there a way to Quickly scroll back to the top of a web page, or any other app where you may have scrolled down quite a bit and need to go back to the beginning?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just reverted to WP8 so I can get the Cyan update. Now I can't seem to get back the apps I had before reverting.
I did the Settings>BackUp before I reverted to WP8.
My wife's new 1520 has the 8.1 developer preview on it. She has been using it for a month or so & then recently as she was using it, the screen would completely turn black. A second later (or 1/2 second) everything on her display would come right back up. It appears the same as if you were changing the display resolution on a pc, the screen blanks out for a second & then to the new resolution. The phone isn't hot, nor was it recently charged. It doesn't matter what app is running. In fact, I hard resetted it yesterday & it still does it.
I noticed yesterday, after I completely resetted it, I was using IE & the screen went blank, then back on, but the screen was upside down. This lead me to believe it was a sensor, so I turned on the rotation lock. Since then it has never come back on upside down, but it still goes blank. It really appears as a hardware issue. I started with a clean slate & the problem still persists.
I've just noticed that the Lumia 1520 (brand new, bought last week) sometimes has the haptic feedback/vibrations turn off by itself when pressing the navigation buttons on the phone. However, they are set to on, in the 'touch' settings (running Lumia cyan now).
When I do a soft reset, the buttons start working for a with vibration, then stop (just to note, they work, just the haptic goes wonky). I tried giving the phone a call - the vibration still works, just doesn't seem to work.
The text messaging app gone missing after a soft reset. This on windows 10 build 10536. There was lots of apps in the store listed error and could not install, so I did a soft reset. Everything is backed on and few app still could install with error code.
The main problem now is the text message app gone missing. The button display as 'Microsoft messaging', when I click on it says need to download an app then direct to store, but then nothing happens.
My 1520 acts so weird and, honestly, irritating as well.It sometimes touches on its own the search button which in turn brings up Cortana again and again tens of times and sometimes the back button gets clicked without being touched which in turn brings up the open apps list or whatever it's called. It happens so often and when it does, it causes me to seriously consider hitting the phone, although I've waited almost 6 months for it to come.

After 8.1 update, when listening to music via wired headphones, inbound text announcement will notify me, spoken response of ignore will result in audio resuming on headphones AND back speaker concurrently.
I have Android 5.0 and there is no option to remove the stock lock screen to make room for a third party lock screen application. I bought the mobile with 5.0 Lollipop already installed so I do not know how it was on 4.4 KitKat. I have no carrier as I am using the D855 international version of the G3. Here is what comes up when I try change the lock screen.
View 10 Replies View RelatedAround a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).
i have xperia pro.mk16i.android 2.3.4. .stock rom..rooted...can I remove the stock battery icon..
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe Samsung Impact comes with some default wallpapers that cycle through as a slideshow when you lock your phone. Is there a way to delete these? I hate having little flowers and what not when I lock my phone. I tried Samsung Customer Service (e-mail is useless, they don't read the request) and when I called they said they'd have someone contact me back but of course no one ever did (this was over a month ago).

View 9 Replies View RelatedI would like to completely purge all leftovers files from when I rooted my Nexus 5.
I tried something with another device I own - the Nexus 7 2012 - and that was using TWRP and remove all the files from "/". Of course, it would fail to remove everything (permissions?) and cause the device to freeze, but forcing reboot would allow to enter bootloader and flash everything fresh and lock the bootloader (I used Nexus Root Toolkit). It has not caused any obvious problems.
I was wondering what the best way would be to completely start fresh on my Nexus 5 while getting rid of all leftover files.
My phone is currently rooted, with a different kernel and running deodexed XtreStoLite. How to go back to stock? I want to trade my phone in soon at T-Mobile and I know they'll notice the phone is rooted, since it says "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" when booting up. Everything works fine, though. I know in most people's case that text only shows for bootloop, but mine works fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using SwiftKey for some time now and in the last few days my phone has started occasionally switching back to the stock keyboard on its on.
I already tried going into settings and clearing cache and data on stock keyboard and my phone is not rooted.
I got an m8 from a friend that had it rooted so he could use it unlocked on tmobile. I looked up how to get stock sense back onto it and successfully did that although the device is still rooted with TWRP as the custom recovery. How to get my m8 back to stock. like 100% stock. I want to be able to accept updates from att and have no trouble doing so. SO FAR i tried flashing a recovery image that i found.
I am not able to post links yet but it was the stock recovery firmware base version 1.12.502.18 for ATT from the website andromods which i read is the correct one.
I flashed the recovery image there^^^ and got the red triangle with the ! in it, then my phone restarted about 2 mins later and went back to the rooted sense 6 overlay i had but i still have TWRP on it. I thought i had bricked my phone at this point but it restarted.
So, how can I completely get rid of TWRP? I have a fastboot program already installed.
How do I get back to stock, from a custom rom?
I did a backup of stock, with TWRP, but can I just restore it or do I need to flash stock firmware with Odin first? (I'm on XtreStoLite right now).
Just don't want to brick it, so unsure if I can just restore, or I need to remove the custom rom before restoring.
When I got the phone it had some revolutionary thing on, and people say I need to flash back to stock ROM how would I go about doing this? HTC WildFire (Sim free) (From the UK)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have installed unikernel on my g925t s6 edge regular edge. Now i need to revert to stock kernel but i can't. If i do a fresh install of the latest build OI1 from odin the flash procedure complete successfully but the phone after that wont boot because it stuck at Samsung logo powered by android. And when i go to download mode Recovery mode is Samsung official and System status is custom. I tried to factory reset with recovery but nothing.
I have also tried to fully wipe the phone with twrp but nothing. After i flash the official lastest build with odin the system status is still custom and the phone is stuck at Samsung logo. I have to flash this kernel again in order to boot the phone. But i need that phone works with stock kernel and stock system. I also did an efs folder wipe, which means i have flashed another efs with odin and after that imei said unknown. Than i have repair imei and have my phone back to function. But i cannot revert to stock...
I flashed to 5.1.1 T-Mobile when it came out, then learned it was a leak and wasn't ready for release yet. Unsurprisingly I'm having issues with System crashing, etc. I tried to flash back to 5.0.2 and I end up in a bootloop.
I'm stuck! The only ROM that seems to work now is 5.1.1, all others get me stuck in a bootloop in which I must use TWRP to flash back to 5.1.1. How to be able to go back to a stable 5.0.2!
I have to sell my SGS6. Now I want to unroot it, how to do? (I am currently on Tyrannus 5.1, TWRP and Root)
My plan would be:
- install Odin and USB Drivers
- download latest official firmware (Germany 01.09.2015) from sammobile
- reboot to download mode
- flash firmware via odin
- factory reset
- wipe cache
- reboot
thats it?
And btw, is the red lettering on the samsung splash screen if u power on your phone gone if i am on stock again or will this never disappear?
I put a custom ROM on my GS2 for the first time, it involved updating a kernel.
However I really don't like the custom rom I installed and now I want to go back to the stock ROM but with the samsung stuff froze/removed.
I'm not sure where to download the stock ROM's from and I'm not sure if I need to change the kernels again.
I should have read this forum before I jumped the ship to upgrade to the stock ICS. Now its nothing short by hell for me...
1) Can't detect picture and audio files occasionally
2) Application handcent not able to display contact pictures where are syn from facebook
3) VERY LAG
4) lock screen will strangely change by itself. I had set it as clock, but always sometimes show weather instead...
5) Smaller notification icons
I am sure this list can go on and on, but how to downgrade the firmware back to the previous one. It was gingerbread right? I have to be very honest, I know nothing about rooting, and my HTC Sensation has always been on stock OS only.
I've got to return my phone so I need to return it back to stock, I made a backup when I first rooted my phone and installed the custom recovery, if I flash this backup will it return my phone to stock and get rid of the warning while in bootloader ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been modifying my device by installing custom roms rooting etc. I know my warranty is void but my device won't even get recognized in smart manager when entering IMEI. when booted up to odin mode i don't see an option anymore to see "show Barcode". My device is still functional but I want to try to go back to stock official everything. Is there a way to fix this issue by installing or flashing anything? I think its because of the installation of xposed.
