View 2 RepliesA couple years ago my wife bought a Samsung Instinct M810. I flashed the phone to Verizon so she could use PagePlus. Everything has been working fine but the phone has really been beaten up. About the only thing that still works is the speed dial function.
A few days ago I found another Instinct in mint condition for her. I have been trying to flash it to Verizon with limited luck. I activated the phone with PagePlus and received a phone number ( I was planning on porting her number when I had everything working). The phone connects to Verizon but it can't connect to OTP. If I dial a number I get connected to Verizon with the message "Welcome to Verizon, unfortunately we cannot identify your phone, etc."
The problem is that when I dial *22890 (or any *228xx number)the signal bars vanish and there is an indicator showing no service and the call is dropped. After the call is dropped the signal returns and I can again connect to Verizon. I have tried several PRL's, even the one on my wife's current phone but it doesn't make any difference. I didn't have this much trouble with her other phone so I am at a loss.
I have attempted to search this forum for my answer but unfortunately I have not been able to come across it. Thus, the dreaded "new thread".But seriously, small question.I recently acquired my long sought-after SCH a990 monster flash .bin. I was just curious which program I should use to flash my phone; that is, which program should I use to flash the .bin onto my a990?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want a state of the art android phone with a physical keyboard, that a poor college student can afford the plan for. (I'm on PagePlus using the $30/month for 1200 min, 1200 texts, and 50mb data.) That leaves me choosing between the Droid 2 and the Samsung Epic 4G. I prefer the Epic because of the super 16gb micro SD. My current phone is a Samsung, and it's served me well for about 2 years now despite being dropped all the time
Question: Can I flash a Galaxy S Sprint Epic 4G onto Verizon to use PagePlus? I know Sprint uses CDMA, which leads me to believe the Epic could work on Verizon's network (which PagePlus uses), but beyond that I'm clueless. Can anyone tell me if this is possible or not, and if so, where to look for more information?
I just purchased the Samsung Omnia i900 cell phone from this one guy on Craiglist.com. This is a Verizon Phone and the guy had it flashed to Metro PCS. I bought this phone, thought I could use it for Page Plus Wireless. I had my old number ported over to the phone already and now I can't make a call out.
My Questions:
The ESN number is clean, how come I can't make a call out?
Is it because the phone was flashed to a different network and I have to flash it back to Verizon Network before I can use it?
If I have to flash it back, can someone show me how to flash this phone back to verizon network?
I have already asked both verizon and metro to flash the phone for me and they won't do it.
I have flashed my Cingular 3125 extensively but it is getting too old and back won't stay on. I have modified all I can on Blackjack II (sgh-i617) w/o flash. It's on Win Mob 6.1, I want to change the start-up pic and sound, I know this is a bit of an older issue but can anyone gimme a link or advice on how to progress? Everythings unlocked Subsidy,CID, etc, experienced and have many tools, just have not been in the loop for awhile.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy SGSII losing its capability of using 2/3G networks - (i.e. no green and red arrows). I can connect to wireless networks but that's it, which is pretty frustrating when I'm out and about in town, out of range of wifi, and want to check something on the Internet, etc.So now I'm faced with the unwelcome prospect of sending my phone back to Vodafone to get repaired which means 10 working days without my phon? would flashing my SGSII bring back my 2/3G capability? If this was the case, then I'd obviously do it, and be saved from sending my phone away for 2 weeks. Currently I am on Stock ROM, 2.3.3?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a Bold 9780- t-mobile for about 5 months now that will not come on. The led indicator flashes red 1 pause 2,3,4 fast flashing and then pause 5 and over again. That is all it does. I've been searching every where but I can't seem to find what it means.I got home and have put it on the recharger worked like a charm. After an hour used it for a text message, not a problem. Went to sleep for about an hour and when I came back the screen was black and all it did was flash 1-234-5 over and over again. I have taking the battery out waited ten minutes put it back in and 1-234-5 just the flashing. My phone will not start up. The screen stays black. The flashing is like I never seen before starts with a 1 flash then an interval of 1or 2 seconds then 3 quick flashes again a short interval and another flash. This keeps on repeating. Even when you take the battery out wait for ten minutes or longer it just flashes the same sequences If you link it to computer the computer doesn't reconize him as well. I'm totally lcked out of the device.Flashing is all it does.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and last night the green LED came on and stayed on. This was when I was charging it. I have pulled the battery, I have made sure the options for coverage is set to off. I have also uninstalled any apps I don't need. I didn't install anything prior to this happening and it's draining my battery quite quickly. Even when I switch phone off with the red button, the green LED stays. When I pull the battery, the green LED comes on as soon as I put it back in.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had a Pearl 9105 for about 2 weeks now and really liked it until a few hours ago when I found it dead, switched off and not responding to anything. I had been having some trouble with one particular contact - sometimes I wasn't allowed to check our text message conversation and when selecting 'compose SMS' to this person nothing happened. To try to verify this I took the battery out and re-inserted it. The phone started rebooting itself with the black screen and progress bar and I put it in the holster I have for it. However it continued to boot and as far as I can remember it booted fully and I was able to check the conversation that previously has refused to open. However I went for a walk with my family and a few hours later took my phone out to check it and the screen was black.
I left it charging all night last night and at lunch, when I used it for a while showing a photo slideshow to my sister, it said battery was 80%. When I got home I plugged it in to charge, in 2 different sockets, and also connected it to my computer. Nothing happened. Device manager also refused to open (I am now reinstalling to see if this does anything). I have removed and replaced the battery several times, taken out the sim card, tried what other people suggest (starting to charge without battery) but nothing happens. I don't even get flashing LEDs. It is absolutely dead. I am rather cross about the lack of customer service for RIM in the UK. I phoned their only UK number to be told they are closed and dialed 3 for their technical support, first time they hung up and second I got through to American support (yet to see if I was charged for this).
My Blackberry Pearl 8110 that I've had for a while is flashing red and won't turn on. It flashes, pauses, then flashes and so on. I took the battery out last night to check the make of the phone and when I put the battery back in it started flashing and wouldn't turn on. It's been on charge all night, and nothing has happened.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry keeps flashing even if I have no notifications. It has occasionally happened when e.g. I get a facebook notification, click to open it, then close it before it has fully loaded the comment etc. But it's now happening randomly by itself and I keep having to do a battery pull to stop it
Is there a way I can stop this and a reason this is happening?
I've only had this phone a month and it won't boot up.
Sometimes when I put the battery in it begins to boot up, the freezes and stops. It then intermittently flashes red twice while the battery is in or connected to charger.
Tried connecting to BB Desktop to restore factory settings but can't get it to connect until the device has booted up (whic it won't)...
It just keeps blinking wont come on.... how can I fix it?

I'm new with S6 development. Been playing with SONY devices since 2011. So the question is, can I flash a 920F stock firmware on a 920I device? Will brick my phone? Does it need a special process to make it work? I really want to flash 920F on my 920I and I need to know if its secure.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I just got the G3 yesterday and finally have it setup. I have noticed though that the notification light does not seem to be functioning. When i receive notifications there is no flashing, regardless of the type of notification. I know the light is not broken because it does flash blue when I knock on the screen, and it also lights red when charging. I downloaded Light Flow to see if I could force the light, but that does not seem to have worked either. I checked to make sure the notification light was set to on under the Display setting page.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI cannot put it any better than that. I flashed it with a prl, directly after an upgrade to the newest Verizon firmware from a 4 button-into-emergency-mode. Laptop battery died (lesson taught, and well noted), And powie. Wont power on, wont go into Emergency mode. Charger, USB Wire, nothing makes any movement, sound, nothing.. bricked. Tried numerous batteries & cords. I have 5 of these and would like to get them out of my hair. I am not attempting to sell them on here, rather just any ideas on how to get these repaired.. if possible.
