View 4 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry curve 9360 which is two months hold has been constantly restarting itself since last night. I've spent all day looking online and trying everything possible but nothing has worked. I've updated software, taken out the battery, left it on charge, left it off charge, taken out the memory card, wiped absolutely everything but nothing has worked. I can't make it to the o2 shop until Wednesday but would obviously prefer for it to be fixed before then.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520. I was taking a little look around it last night and saw this "Memory Cleaning" option and I thought "I wanna clean it's memory of cache and such stuff" - so I enabled it. I then locked the phone and it said it was going to start and would take a few minutes. Half hour later it was still "going". By going I mean it goes to the white screen with the timer, after a while in the top right it does the whole "receiving/sending data" arrow thingy, then goes back to timer. Then it goes dark; the red light stays on, then goes out, and the white screen reappears.
I thought this was normal, but after it happening for half an hour I thought "surely not" - anyway I decided to leave it going overnight. When I woke this morning my screen was black; blasted thing must have been doing it so much during the night, it drained the battery! It's now plugged it, and it's doing the same thing - there seems to be no way of stopping it. The phone won't turn on. And it just keeps doing the same thing - I fear something's gone wrong and that it's now broken.
I have the BB 8530. When I get a voicemail, a simple, white icon (a single line with a small circle at each end) appears in the top left of my screen, where the email & text notification icons also appear. In the past, once I check my voicemails, the icon goes away. But this time it has not. I have checked my voicemail several times and even erased all of my saved voice mails, but the icon will not go away! How can I get rid of it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed the BB desktop manager for Mac yesterday, and this morning connected to remove some apps, create some space, and install all the updates. In the process of this it mysteriously just stopped doing anything right after it said "database cannot be backed up" and shut off. Now it's flashing red twice, pausing for about 2 seconds, and repeating the flashing. I pulled the battery and sim even though I was sure that wouldn't do anything, plugged it back into my laptop, plugged it into the wall both with and without the battery, and nothing has changed. The desktop manager doesn't not recognize the device at all.
I'm using a Curve 8330. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed totally? Also, and I know this is a long shot, but what are the odds that I can restore the device and save the data that's on it?
my blackberry curve is flashing red but wont turn on.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and last night the green LED came on and stayed on. This was when I was charging it. I have pulled the battery, I have made sure the options for coverage is set to off. I have also uninstalled any apps I don't need. I didn't install anything prior to this happening and it's draining my battery quite quickly. Even when I switch phone off with the red button, the green LED stays. When I pull the battery, the green LED comes on as soon as I put it back in.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWell Basicaly the other night i was using the phone and it suddenly said "Battery Drained, Shutting Down handheld" even though i clearly had at least 50% battery still. Since that point i have not been able to turn on my phone and the LED has been flashing 30 seconds or so while the battery is in or it is connected to my computer. However while i have the device on charge it displays a battery with a lightning bolt through it and then proceeds to a white screen where i can not do anything at all.
I have trying to reinstall the latest OS but that doesnt work, i get to the point where it says "reconnecting to JVM" and then my device's LED starts to flash again and it says that it cant connect to my phone.
Last night I fell asleep with my phone next to me, and I know that this isn't very smart but when I woke up my phone was off and the red led was flashing. When I tried booting it, it did nothing, just flashing it's red light. I tried charging it, but with no succes either. So I have no idea what went wrong. Could it be that I rolled over my phone and that I messed up something inside? I searched the internet looking for solutions and I found out that other people were having the same problem. However, I didn't really find any answers. Then I tried connecting my Blackberry to my computer. The computer did notice my phone was connected, but the Blackberry Desktop Software failed to connect to the phone. It just showed some error.I found out that when I kept the phone charging, with no battery in it, a white immage with a 'no battery sign' appeared. Does that mean something's wrong with my battery?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay so my blackberry curve 3G is relatively new, around 10 months. And today it was working fine, decent charge on the battery, when it decided to crash. I left it alone, and it still wouldnt respond. So i took the battery out, left it for 5 minutes, and put it back in. Usually, it automatically starts up, but this time there was no response. When i tried to turn it on, the screen stayed black, but the light in the corner came on red, for roughly 10 seconds, then turned off, and began to flash for around 3 seconds, every 10 seconds. ive tried plugging it into the computer, however it cannot pick it up, and if i try to install older software (downgrade it, which it recommends to do) it fails just before the end, every time.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy BB just went dead two days ago (have it since 20 months). The red light is blinking four times then pause, and then again four times... on and on... I tried to take the battery out, to charge it, USB, but nothing seems to work.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry curve's LED has started flashing every colour for no reason? it continuously flashes yellow, green, blue, red, amber, pink and purple very fast, I have deleted every LED app I had downloaded and turned off all LED notifications. ive tried turning the phone off and on and the flashing soon started again. It does stop when you press the end call button but soon starts again.
I have no messages etc awaiting opening and my batteries charged so why is it doing this? its driving me mad and also draining my battery really quickly?
I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and yesterday update Blackberry Apps World, it popped up saying it had to be rebooted so i did this, the phone has not turned on since and has a red flashing light?!! It also will not connect to any computer, the computer will not acknowledge a connecton!
I have charged it all night, pulled the battery, tried a new battery!
My Curve 8520 will not switch on today and the red message indicator light flashes once then rapidly 4 times then stops for a few secs then starts again. It looks like a morse code signal.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got the 8900 yesterday, and I had skipped the setup when I opened it up yesterday. Today I decide to restart my BB because I was removing a Google mobile app, so once I restarted, I got the BB set-up tutorial thingy popping up again. So I set the language and set it to not to remind me afterwards. However, once after doing so, the green LED starts flashing green. I asked one of my friends, and he says its Coverage, and told me to turn it off. And I did as I was told, yet its still flashin green. The LED itself isnt flashing constantly like it should in Coverage tho, it blinks about 7-8 times, before it stops, for half a minute and starts blinking once again. Its irriating and I would like to turn it off for good I'm on Rogers carries, and im running 4.6.1.250 OS.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my Curve for just under 2 years and about a week ago it just stopped working. I was out with some friends when I happened to glance at my phone and noticed that the LED was glowing a solid white color. The LED was white for about 10 seconds then went out. After this the phone would not turn back on and the LED was a solid red color.
I figured my battery must be dead so I put it on the charger when I got home. After charging for hours I tried to turn it back on, with no luck. The LED was still solid red and would remain this way for hours. After some initial research, I decided to try and reload to OS. By this time, the LED light was flashing 4 times, pausing briefly, then flashing 4 times again, over and over.
I followed some of the guides others had posted about reloading the OS user the App Loader application. I got past the step of selecting the components I wanted to installed and clicked Next. The process started to work, but when it got to the "Intializing Phone" step it would return an error saying it could not detect the device. The whole time I was going through this process the USB connect/disconnect sounds were playing over and over again.
I continued to research and found out that the BlackBerry was actually in some kind of constant reboot cycle. That it why the USB sounds were playing repeatedly. I assume this is why the computer could not detect the device long enough to finish the installation process.
So this is basically where I am now. I got pretty frustrated with the whole scenario and left it for a few days. I picked my phone up yesterday and tried to turn it on. Initially there was no sign of life from the LED. I held the power button and the BlackBerry LED began to blink twice then pause, blink twice, pause, etc.
I would realy rather not have to pay another couple of hundred dollars for a phone but I can't go without a phone much longer. I am confident that I can get to the same error I did before, but can not get past that point.
Message light keep flashing on my bold 9900
