BB Curve :: LED Is Flashing Every Colour For No Reason?
Jul 10, 2012
my blackberry curve's LED has started flashing every colour for no reason? it continuously flashes yellow, green, blue, red, amber, pink and purple very fast, I have deleted every LED app I had downloaded and turned off all LED notifications. ive tried turning the phone off and on and the flashing soon started again. It does stop when you press the end call button but soon starts again.
I have no messages etc awaiting opening and my batteries charged so why is it doing this? its driving me mad and also draining my battery really quickly?
So I've had this phone short of a week, and I love it. For some reason today, my S6 will randomly blink a red LED notification, but when I unlock my phone, there are no new notifications.
My first 2 thoughts were low battery indicator or no service indicator, but neither is the reason.
Mine show as grey. I've currently selected red as the colour theme. The text bubbles used to show red but then I started messing with various colour schemes and it seems to be stuck on grey no matter what I do. As well when I receive an incoming call the answer button shows as grey. Seems weird.
The red texts were also when I had my sim in slot 1. I noticed my signal strength is significantly better in slot 2 than slot 1.
No Browser is running and I dont have any apps. I was on the phone for 15 min and my battery was half dead when I got off. Was never like that before. I've had this phone for almost 2 years. The same thing is happening with the rest of my families Blackberrys. Why is this?
I have had my blackberry for 20 monthsI can have my blackberry curve 9300 3G on charge ALL NIGHT and still the next day when I unplug the charger the battery only lasts 2 or 3 hours at the most. I do not have many apps on my phone, nor do I use them constantly. I tried changing the battery to a brand newly purchased one and that was a barrel of laughs!! Only lasted 2 hours. It is getting to the point where I want an solution NOW! Whenever I'm On A Call It Shuts Do A Call It Shuts Down In The Middle O
I have a blackberry curve 9300 which I bought in January this year and from practically the first day I turned it on I've had problems with it. The phone freezes a lot and on a regular basis the phone just turns off and resist itself. I can be texting and look away and look back and the phoneheads just reset and it does this a couple of times day. Less than a month ago it was sent for a repair with Tesco (who I bought the phone from) and they sent it back saying that they couldn't find a fault on it. The phone still does the same and I've phoned tesco again and they have said that the only thing they can do is to send the phone to the repair shop again to be checked. What do you suggest I do as I need a phone that works and cannot just keep sending it to be repaired to be told there isn't a fault over and over again.
My BB Curve 8900 intermittently switches off for no apparent reason. It starts up again with a blank screen, takes about 2/3 minutes & then boots up again. It loses the page it was on. any ideas on what the issue is & how I can fix it?
Ever since I had it, it automatically and for no reason deletes all call logs. Blackberry could never give me any way to prevent this from support while it was under warranty. My Motorola Pebble didn't do this, and my iPhone 4, which was stolen a month ago, never did this. since I have a month to go before I can upgrade my phone, meaning I can get a decent phone without paying a small fortune for it?
I have had my curve for a little over two months now && havent yet had really any problems until about a week ago...I've noticed that out of seemingly nowhere, the red LED light will start blinking like I have a message or something and when I check to see if there are any new messages, there arent. I still get new messages and everything works correctly as far as I can tell, but that damn light will start blinking out of nowhere and it annoys me and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to stop it. the only thing that fixes it is a battery pull and it happens probably every other day. i have smrtguard installed on my phone and idk if maybe the light blinks when its doing an antivirus sweep on my phone or what.
I have to pull the battery or reboot my phone several times a day because my sound just shuts off for no reason. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there new software I need or something?
I have a very big problem about 8310, as for a sudden I have lost my email application with no reason and I couldn't receive send email at all. I have contacted my service provider and they have helped me to check in many methods that would help to fix this even check my IEMI and Pin number in Canada and there was nothing wrong with it. Today I double checked in every application and I found I have no certificates details at all compare to the other BB.
I start to check this because it seems my provider doesnt recognize my emei and pin number. I have tried many times to delete email setting and reset. I couldn't even add the pin and emei number, it's always showned 'Invalid Pin and Emei' please contact your service device. Btw, I have been using it for 4 months only
I installed the BB desktop manager for Mac yesterday, and this morning connected to remove some apps, create some space, and install all the updates. In the process of this it mysteriously just stopped doing anything right after it said "database cannot be backed up" and shut off. Now it's flashing red twice, pausing for about 2 seconds, and repeating the flashing. I pulled the battery and sim even though I was sure that wouldn't do anything, plugged it back into my laptop, plugged it into the wall both with and without the battery, and nothing has changed. The desktop manager doesn't not recognize the device at all.
I'm using a Curve 8330. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed totally? Also, and I know this is a long shot, but what are the odds that I can restore the device and save the data that's on it?
I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and last night the green LED came on and stayed on. This was when I was charging it. I have pulled the battery, I have made sure the options for coverage is set to off. I have also uninstalled any apps I don't need. I didn't install anything prior to this happening and it's draining my battery quite quickly. Even when I switch phone off with the red button, the green LED stays. When I pull the battery, the green LED comes on as soon as I put it back in.
Well Basicaly the other night i was using the phone and it suddenly said "Battery Drained, Shutting Down handheld" even though i clearly had at least 50% battery still. Since that point i have not been able to turn on my phone and the LED has been flashing 30 seconds or so while the battery is in or it is connected to my computer. However while i have the device on charge it displays a battery with a lightning bolt through it and then proceeds to a white screen where i can not do anything at all.
I have trying to reinstall the latest OS but that doesnt work, i get to the point where it says "reconnecting to JVM" and then my device's LED starts to flash again and it says that it cant connect to my phone.
I want to buy 'Topaz Brown' colour E72. I never thought I would be told 'IT WILL NEVER BE AVAILABLE IN UK'! My question is how can a company make this clear cut decision? I mean there could be a whole market of people who prefer this colour therefore why take this risk?
Well, as a customer service person, this is very poor. I was actually told I could get it from another country and ask someone there to buy it then send it to me. At this point I was hoping Nokia would say, we would try to get you to buy one from another country such as France?
Ok, the logic is this, you have a phone in different coulours, you advertise it as such. Why then you dare decide which colour is not appropriate to a particular country?
This brings back memories of the days when cars in black were not allowed because they are synonimous with 'black people' who were considered not human.
I noticed that my bb torch 9810 phone developed a plain white screen in the morning, with all graphics (theme) lost. All icons are reduced in size and i cant play media files, the bb messenger is not working.I receive calls, i receive sms alerts but cant check my inbox.
I've just had a small update to my Z3 and the status bar has reverted to a blue colour rather than the transparent that it usually is. It only occurs when using the Google Now Launcher, and is fine using the Xperia one..
After few times press power button screen working fine but when is dark and press power button then screen little change white and you must press camera button then change screen normal and you can press pin code. This is problem with new software lolipop 5.0.2
if any one has an idea whats up with my iphone it was working fine went to bed got up and the screen had changed colour so my apps and web pages display is red and bright blue was on and off like this for a week or so but if i locked an re-opened it woud go back to normal but now for the pas few days it stays stuck like this and is driving me mad!! i can use it fine but cant play games or anything as the only colours it displays are red, blue and black
