View 3 RepliesThis happens when I'm using apps that have a large percentage of white screen space (Google Books, browser between page loads, etc), or at least that's the only time I've noticed it.The whites on the screen are usually a cool white, but sometimes the entire white area of the screen will abruptly shift to a pinker hue and then back after several seconds. The first few times this happened I wondered if it was some kind of response to ambient light, like the auto dimming feature. However, I can't force it to happen, even by tilting/moving the phone or covering the light sensor right after it happens.
Does it sounds like an indication of a malfunctioning screen and something I should talk to Verizon about replacing? It's not a problem, just puzzling, but I just purchased the phone about two weeks ago so if this is a sign of a defect I want to fix it before it does cause problems.
Nice to see an update to Gingerbread rolling off the line. I'd love to see a list of corrections and updates.I hope I may be incorrect, but the false LED indicator (which goes on and on upon phone reboot) has not been corrected. The LED will flash (without any apparent reason, when the screen is off) until an e-mail or text comes in and essentially resets the LED. It then flashes until the text or e-mail has been viewed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my curve for a little over two months now && havent yet had really any problems until about a week ago...I've noticed that out of seemingly nowhere, the red LED light will start blinking like I have a message or something and when I check to see if there are any new messages, there arent. I still get new messages and everything works correctly as far as I can tell, but that damn light will start blinking out of nowhere and it annoys me and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to stop it. the only thing that fixes it is a battery pull and it happens probably every other day. i have smrtguard installed on my phone and idk if maybe the light blinks when its doing an antivirus sweep on my phone or what.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI've noticed lately that my 3G has stopped working on my iPhone 4 for no apparent reason. I've tested it without the wifi on, so I know that there's no interference between the two. I've reset network settings multiple times, as well as resetting the phone itself (holding down the top button and the home button together). I usually get 4 or 5 bars, and I see the 3G symbol beside the bars. To the right of the 3G symbol is an icon that just keeps spinning indefinitely, while the phone tries to establish a connection. If I'm trying to open a page in Safari on the phone, I get the message "Cannot open page - Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the Internet." I have the latest software update (iOS 5.1). I can connect to wifi without any problems, but when I disable wifi, and enable 3G + cellular data, I can't connect to the internet anymore.
Info:
iPhone 4 (8GB), iOS 5.1
For no apparent reason, my BB 9800 seems to play a song (which BTW I do not have loaded in my media). I can't even mute it.The only changes recently have been a new battery, and an MMS forwarded from another user with a Voice Mail in it.The song is not in my music list. My ringtones and sound profiles are all checked. It is very strange indeed.Any ideas why my BB9800 would just start playing a foreign 30-sec sound file for no reason?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHi, I have several problems on my iPhone 3GS. it freezes and restarts immediately once or twice a day, with no apparent reason. It often shutsdown when the battery is about 25-30% left. Sometimes it tells me to restore with iTunes, without any reason. Sometimes when I start the phone the language is set back to default english instead of italian. The internet APN deletes itself with no reason. These are the main problems. What should I do?

I have a bold 9780, shuts down for no apparent reason sometimes whilst in a conversation. I take the battery out and do a restart red light comes on then nothing, plug in it to charger thinking the battery could be flat, still doesn't come to life, once again take the battery out sim out give it the magic tap, put it back to gather a gain, still nothing. Then all of a sudden it decides to come on redlight, blackberry loading bar, security check then its on, very strange, this happens several times a day.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe first time it happened I was in a meeting, picked up my phone to check for messages and the phone was off. Power button would not turn the phone on. I had to take the battery out and back in again for the phone to turn on, battery was at 65%. It happened another time since then and the only fix was to take the battery out. It's not that the screen goes black like other posts. The phone shuts down.Did I get a bad phone? Should I take it back to Verizon? The only apps that I have downloaded are Astro, BatteryLife, Beautiful Widgets, Handcent, Daily News

Sim and SD cards were checked, but again, without any success. Even the charging indication light is not there (while charging). This phone (and the info saved on it) is crucial for both my business and personal life.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the EE variant of the G920F galaxy s6 in the UK. At least once a day the phone will reboot for no apparent reason what so ever. This has been since the 5.1.1 update, I have factory reset and cleared cache and it still happens. Thinking of flashing the international software to see if it happens with that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my iPhone 4 on launch day and it's worked great for me so far. However, just today, I got a "No SIM" message 3 times. I haven't touched the SIM door and the phone has been in a iFrogz Luxe Lean case the whole time so there's no apparent movement at all.
The only thing that crossed my mind was that today does start my new billing cycle with AT&T. Is there any chance that they have some issue with my phone today since I had upgraded from a 3GS? It's a stretch, but I'm trying to figure this out. Makes no sense that it came up three times, but then after a while went away. Bigtime fail if I need the phone in an emergency or something.
My Blackberry 8520 curve suddenly hangs giving a white screen and when i restart it - the screen remains white. After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 8530. Several months ago, during daily use, the screen would all of a sudden go black. A battery pull would solve this problem for a while. Eventually this became more frequent. Symptoms progressed (it seemed that if I set the phone down too quickly it would reset) Finally, the phone would turn on, then go immediately to a white screen where it was undetectable by my computer. I contacted my service provider and they said the phone was toast and (amazingly enough) gave me a free loaner to use for the duration of my contract (all info transfered via an old backup, so nothing was lost) After my new phone was working I left my Curve plugged in at my office. Yesterday as I was leaving I looked at the phone again, and the screen was white and telling me to reload software 507.
I plugged it into my computer to begin the process and to my surprise the computer all of a sudden detected the phone and successfully upgraded the software. All looked great, I got past the password stage, and was just going to begin reloading my information when the screen faded to blank again. I still have the free loaner phone, so it's not a big deal, but it's bugging me as to what the problem could be. As of right now the computer can no longer detect the phone again
my dog got hold of my 8530 and put a toothmark in the screen cover. The screen was also damaged meaning I could see white and grey stripes. I bought a new screen and replaced the old one. Now when I turn it on, I get the white screen and i cannot dial out or recieve calls. Basically the phone is dead. I was able to connect to my desktop and install the latest OS version. I put the old screen back in and I still cannot recieve or dial. I must have done something while taking it apart or putting back together? It is a very simple procedure so I would think it difficult to screw it up. Before I took it apart, i could get phone calls and dial out but i couldnt see the outgoing or incoming call screen. I took the battery out before I took it apart. Now when I connect to my desktop, the connection comes and goes as if you were plugging and plugping in the device.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had had my Blackberry Curve 3G 9330 for exactly 3 months yesterday and have been pretty happy with it. Upon taking it out of my bag that morning (where there were no liquids), I was horrified to discover that the entire left and middle part of the screen was white, with a gradual faded clearing toward the right. Sounds were still working, I could place calls, but of course can't read any of my contacts or text messages, or commands on my phone. It will be 24 hours submerged in rice as of today until about 3pm
