IPhone :: 4 Getting "No SIM" Message For No Apparent Reason?
Jul 5, 2010
I got my iPhone 4 on launch day and it's worked great for me so far. However, just today, I got a "No SIM" message 3 times. I haven't touched the SIM door and the phone has been in a iFrogz Luxe Lean case the whole time so there's no apparent movement at all.
The only thing that crossed my mind was that today does start my new billing cycle with AT&T. Is there any chance that they have some issue with my phone today since I had upgraded from a 3GS? It's a stretch, but I'm trying to figure this out. Makes no sense that it came up three times, but then after a while went away. Bigtime fail if I need the phone in an emergency or something.
I've noticed lately that my 3G has stopped working on my iPhone 4 for no apparent reason. I've tested it without the wifi on, so I know that there's no interference between the two. I've reset network settings multiple times, as well as resetting the phone itself (holding down the top button and the home button together). I usually get 4 or 5 bars, and I see the 3G symbol beside the bars. To the right of the 3G symbol is an icon that just keeps spinning indefinitely, while the phone tries to establish a connection. If I'm trying to open a page in Safari on the phone, I get the message "Cannot open page - Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the Internet." I have the latest software update (iOS 5.1). I can connect to wifi without any problems, but when I disable wifi, and enable 3G + cellular data, I can't connect to the internet anymore.
Hi, I have several problems on my iPhone 3GS. it freezes and restarts immediately once or twice a day, with no apparent reason. It often shutsdown when the battery is about 25-30% left. Sometimes it tells me to restore with iTunes, without any reason. Sometimes when I start the phone the language is set back to default english instead of italian. The internet APN deletes itself with no reason. These are the main problems. What should I do?
I have had my curve for a little over two months now && havent yet had really any problems until about a week ago...I've noticed that out of seemingly nowhere, the red LED light will start blinking like I have a message or something and when I check to see if there are any new messages, there arent. I still get new messages and everything works correctly as far as I can tell, but that damn light will start blinking out of nowhere and it annoys me and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to stop it. the only thing that fixes it is a battery pull and it happens probably every other day. i have smrtguard installed on my phone and idk if maybe the light blinks when its doing an antivirus sweep on my phone or what.
For no apparent reason, my BB 9800 seems to play a song (which BTW I do not have loaded in my media). I can't even mute it.The only changes recently have been a new battery, and an MMS forwarded from another user with a Voice Mail in it.The song is not in my music list. My ringtones and sound profiles are all checked. It is very strange indeed.Any ideas why my BB9800 would just start playing a foreign 30-sec sound file for no reason?
I have a bold 9780, shuts down for no apparent reason sometimes whilst in a conversation. I take the battery out and do a restart red light comes on then nothing, plug in it to charger thinking the battery could be flat, still doesn't come to life, once again take the battery out sim out give it the magic tap, put it back to gather a gain, still nothing. Then all of a sudden it decides to come on redlight, blackberry loading bar, security check then its on, very strange, this happens several times a day.
The first time it happened I was in a meeting, picked up my phone to check for messages and the phone was off. Power button would not turn the phone on. I had to take the battery out and back in again for the phone to turn on, battery was at 65%. It happened another time since then and the only fix was to take the battery out. It's not that the screen goes black like other posts. The phone shuts down.Did I get a bad phone? Should I take it back to Verizon? The only apps that I have downloaded are Astro, BatteryLife, Beautiful Widgets, Handcent, Daily News
Nice to see an update to Gingerbread rolling off the line. I'd love to see a list of corrections and updates.I hope I may be incorrect, but the false LED indicator (which goes on and on upon phone reboot) has not been corrected. The LED will flash (without any apparent reason, when the screen is off) until an e-mail or text comes in and essentially resets the LED. It then flashes until the text or e-mail has been viewed.
My DesireZ suddenly died (while in my pocket) without any apparent reason. I tried anything but noting seem to Battery was charged and even changed. Sim and SD cards were checked, but again, without any success. Even the charging indication light is not there (while charging). This phone (and the info saved on it) is crucial for both my business and personal life.
I have the EE variant of the G920F galaxy s6 in the UK. At least once a day the phone will reboot for no apparent reason what so ever. This has been since the 5.1.1 update, I have factory reset and cleared cache and it still happens. Thinking of flashing the international software to see if it happens with that.
This happens when I'm using apps that have a large percentage of white screen space (Google Books, browser between page loads, etc), or at least that's the only time I've noticed it.The whites on the screen are usually a cool white, but sometimes the entire white area of the screen will abruptly shift to a pinker hue and then back after several seconds. The first few times this happened I wondered if it was some kind of response to ambient light, like the auto dimming feature. However, I can't force it to happen, even by tilting/moving the phone or covering the light sensor right after it happens.
Does it sounds like an indication of a malfunctioning screen and something I should talk to Verizon about replacing? It's not a problem, just puzzling, but I just purchased the phone about two weeks ago so if this is a sign of a defect I want to fix it before it does cause problems.
My phone 5s has reached capacity and when i look at the usage settings it says that i have 15gb of music on my phone. However when i go into my music folder i only have 30 songs. These are not extended remixes which my phone is making them out to be. Is there anything else that would be causing this as I cant do anything with my phone because of limited capacity. Also my icloud only have 4.8gb which i dont think is causing my problem.
So I plug a USB extension cable into the Nokia camera grip, and then into the 1020, and get no power or apparent connection. I use the same cable with a charger and it charges the phone...
My iphone5 has been shutting down for no reason, or at leas no one I know of. I've tried resetting it but ir doesn't does anything.
When I put it to charge, it shows in 20mins that is 100% charged, but in 1 hour without using it, the charge goes to 60%, then the battery starts working apparently normal. But it keeps shutting down at any time, without me doing something.
My 5 month old iPhone 4S began to go into recovery mode for no apprent reason 10 days ago. I restored it and then it did it again 2 days later - both times it was charging via wall socket. The phone had never been wet, and never dropped. I took it in to apple who promptly said I hadn't done anything wrong and gave me a new phone. I restore it from my iTunes restore point and now, low and behold, 1 week later - it's doing it again, except this time it wasn't even charging. It was sitting on a table and then....boom. Recovery mode which you can't get out of, even using the hold-the-2-buttons trick and its variations ...I've tried them all. It had been restarting all week for no reason and taking a long time for the apple-logo to disappear and OS to start.
My iphone 4 on 3uk network keeps losing 3g signal for no reason and its driving me mad. Switching it on and off restores signal for a while but it looses it again. Ive tried network reset, hard reset, restore, and its still doing it. Any ideas what it might be? i dont want to have to ring three because no they will just send me a 'refurbished iphone' ps have also updated it to newest software that came out today and it still happens:
I recently got me iPhone 5s and whenever I am using wifi wherever it disconnects and I am stucK with 4g/LTE. It does this when I'm playing games or whenever I'm on the internet.
IS there one?...the standard tones given are frankly pathetic...why hasn't this been addressed by a software update?
I don't want to jail break my phone, I will end up breaking it and god knows what happens when you connect to iTunes and recieve updates of the OS to a jailbroken phone.
You would have thought the Apple iTunes store may have made a money spinner of alternative text tones.
I don't care about the new phone and 'multi-tasking', if I do more than one thing at a time I just get confused anyway but if the new iPhone doesn't address text tone this issue I may not buy it.
My verizon iphone4 just starting acting up were the voice control command pops up for no reason. I've turn off and on my phone a few times and it has not solved the problem.
