View 2 Replies View RelatedLast week my girlfriend dropped my BB in water that was real quick (3 secs | kitchen sink) and it wasn't that bad but as precaution I pulled put battery and put in jar with uncooked rice. After about a week took I out tried it yesterday to get it working for about 6 hours and no use.
It's just total dead just very very long red light flashing
I have tried Jl_Cmder doesn't seems to be working
I Can see it connected with PC but not DM
I have tried APPLOADER with jvm and no jvm just stuck on waiting for device initialization for hours and hours and keep sending error device not found.
And yes there was no sign of life for about 4 to 5 hours but after pulling out battery and connecting it to external charger I am getting a battery sign on screen.
I am on a curve 8310 I think it is with an annoying flashing blue light. I think it's a cross between a white and blue as it's a pale blue light. I have turned off every notification I can find, email, text, facebook etc. I have deselected the LED option ( changed to none) I cannot figure how WHY this light keeps blinking. I've taken the battery out, i'm at my wits end.
View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night I fell asleep with my phone next to me, and I know that this isn't very smart but when I woke up my phone was off and the red led was flashing. When I tried booting it, it did nothing, just flashing it's red light. I tried charging it, but with no succes either. So I have no idea what went wrong. Could it be that I rolled over my phone and that I messed up something inside? I searched the internet looking for solutions and I found out that other people were having the same problem. However, I didn't really find any answers. Then I tried connecting my Blackberry to my computer. The computer did notice my phone was connected, but the Blackberry Desktop Software failed to connect to the phone. It just showed some error.I found out that when I kept the phone charging, with no battery in it, a white immage with a 'no battery sign' appeared. Does that mean something's wrong with my battery?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got the 8900 yesterday, and I had skipped the setup when I opened it up yesterday. Today I decide to restart my BB because I was removing a Google mobile app, so once I restarted, I got the BB set-up tutorial thingy popping up again. So I set the language and set it to not to remind me afterwards. However, once after doing so, the green LED starts flashing green. I asked one of my friends, and he says its Coverage, and told me to turn it off. And I did as I was told, yet its still flashin green. The LED itself isnt flashing constantly like it should in Coverage tho, it blinks about 7-8 times, before it stops, for half a minute and starts blinking once again. Its irriating and I would like to turn it off for good I'm on Rogers carries, and im running 4.6.1.250 OS.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay so my blackberry curve 3G is relatively new, around 10 months. And today it was working fine, decent charge on the battery, when it decided to crash. I left it alone, and it still wouldnt respond. So i took the battery out, left it for 5 minutes, and put it back in. Usually, it automatically starts up, but this time there was no response. When i tried to turn it on, the screen stayed black, but the light in the corner came on red, for roughly 10 seconds, then turned off, and began to flash for around 3 seconds, every 10 seconds. ive tried plugging it into the computer, however it cannot pick it up, and if i try to install older software (downgrade it, which it recommends to do) it fails just before the end, every time.

It also will not connect to any computer, the computer will not acknowledge a connecton!
I have charged it all night, pulled the battery, tried a new battery!
My Curve 8520 will not switch on today and the red message indicator light flashes once then rapidly 4 times then stops for a few secs then starts again. It looks like a morse code signal.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi just got the curve 9300 and before had the curve 8520 and the flashing LED is so dim i can barely see it on my new one! i have the phone on silent at work and use the LED to tell when i have a notification and i cant even see it in daylight hardly. is there any way to make the red light flash up brighter like on the older model? my sister has the new bold and hers is fine and bright. Ive got the free bebuzz app and even when i select my fave contact as BRIGHT pink it is still really dim light.
Also i have my hotmail account set up on my bb. When i get a new email the notification icon appears at the top but i cant view the email in my hotmail box only if i go into the "messages" icon. this isnt how it was before either!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed the BB desktop manager for Mac yesterday, and this morning connected to remove some apps, create some space, and install all the updates. In the process of this it mysteriously just stopped doing anything right after it said "database cannot be backed up" and shut off. Now it's flashing red twice, pausing for about 2 seconds, and repeating the flashing. I pulled the battery and sim even though I was sure that wouldn't do anything, plugged it back into my laptop, plugged it into the wall both with and without the battery, and nothing has changed. The desktop manager doesn't not recognize the device at all.
I'm using a Curve 8330. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed totally? Also, and I know this is a long shot, but what are the odds that I can restore the device and save the data that's on it?
My blackberry curve 8520 has not switched on after rebooting.. the red led light is continuously flashing but the device has not switched on..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with my Curve 8520. I was using today and all of a sudden, it went blank on me. Now I try to boot it up again, even when its charging, and all I get is a flashing red light. It flashes 1 time, then it flashes 3 more times, some times faster, some times slower. Been looking for support (done the battery pull and everything) and ways to fix it, but don't find anything. Just have a black screen, its not detectable by the computer, and it only flashes red.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone phone turn off by itself about 3 hrs ago. It will not turn back on, the icd light is flashing red. Seems like to me it's flashing 2 longer flashes then 2 small one straight away. Continuously repeats this with 20/30 seconds between each. I have tried plugging it into my laptop but is not connected.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 8900. To start, I woke up one morning and had a white screen and an error 502. I wasn't able to fix the issue immediately since I had class. I'm usually more attentive to my phone but I'm in law school. Anyway, the next day I went to try to fix my phone, it would not power on at all. I just got the red light flash. When plugging it in to my computer, I got the sound it was connected but the AppLoader, JML_Cmder and DTM would not recognize the device. Frustrated, I put the phone aside again to concentrate on school.
So, I've decided to give this another shot but now it's gotten worse. The phone does nothing unless it's plugged up and it's still just that annoying red light blinking. I keep the phone plugged and remove the battery...still that blinking and the pattern is long pause, blink, short pause, blink, blink, blink repeat. Again, there is no activity when the phone is unplugged. Same thing when I plug it into my computer. The battery does not make a difference and doing a battery pull does not work.
My computer does not recognize my device at all (no sounds, no connection, etc). I have tried to let it charge from a wall charger and it did nothing but that blink pattern for 12 hours. Again, I have tried the AppLoader through c:program filescommon files esearch in motionapp loader, I have tried using the Command Prompt, I have tried JML_Cmder, I have tried the battery pull, I have re-installed both the DTM and the Blackberry USB and Modem drivers. Anything else I could possibly try? Also, does anyone know what that blink pattern means?
Yesterday my Blackberry shut itself off randomly. So straight away i put it on charge, but after about 10 mins nothing came up, only a solid red light indicator in the top right corner of the phone. I have tried EVERYTHING i can find online and nothing seems to be working :'( it only shows red light when on and off charge, my computer wont detect the device and when connected to the pc the solid red light shows up.. but then goes off after about 10 mins!
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've updated my BB 8900 OS a couple of days ago. It worked fine for 1 day and then it popped up with an error message that disappaered really quickly and it go into a loop.
I tried to re-install the OS 5 and the app loader recognises the BB and the PIN is showing, but when I click next it get's stuck on "connecting with device (ARM)". The only thing the BB does now is blink its red light like morse code long-fast-fast-fast-long.
When I turn off my phone at nights (the "Turn Power Off" button), I leave it in the charger next to my bed. After this the greenish yellowish LED light starts blinking to tell me its charging. I absolutely hate that light and can't stand it. I'm not talking about the green coverage indicator light, which is different. Is there any way to turn this off completely?
