Last night I fell asleep with my phone next to me, and I know that this isn't very smart but when I woke up my phone was off and the red led was flashing. When I tried booting it, it did nothing, just flashing it's red light. I tried charging it, but with no succes either. So I have no idea what went wrong. Could it be that I rolled over my phone and that I messed up something inside? I searched the internet looking for solutions and I found out that other people were having the same problem. However, I didn't really find any answers. Then I tried connecting my Blackberry to my computer. The computer did notice my phone was connected, but the Blackberry Desktop Software failed to connect to the phone. It just showed some error.I found out that when I kept the phone charging, with no battery in it, a white immage with a 'no battery sign' appeared. Does that mean something's wrong with my battery?
Okay so today i swapped from a 7130e to a 8330 (verizon) i was able to remove the old security Policy using Jl_Cmder (which worked great) and i got rid of the firewall issue as well.phone was working great until i tried to use the device switch wizard, half way therough the process of upgrading the 8330 the os upgrade failed. I was trying to upgrade to the latest verizon release 8330AMEA_PBr4_1.5.0_rel101_ PL126.96.36.199 _A188.8.131.52.exe.Now my device seems to be hosed. All it does is flash the red light two times every 2 seconds. When i connect the device to my PC device manager sees the smartphone connect on the USB hub, but the device manager never seems to find the device.I have done a hard reset, ---no change.tried to reset to defaults using JL_cmder --- no change but got the following error.RIM Wireless Handheld Java LoaderConnecting to device debug: COM error during Open: (0x80040001)Error: unable to open port Command completed! To complete the factory reset, remove the battery to envoke a handheld wipe.If you have not already backed up your data, do so now or it will be erased.Press any key to continue tried to do a wipe from JL_cmder ---no change.tried to connect with no battery and with. ---No change Tried to delete the blackberry smartphone from device manager. ---No change my 3 other blackberries all connect just fine to the laptop and to device amnager and desktop manager.PS yes i remembeed to remove the vender.xml file when doing most of this stuff.software versions Desktop Manager = 184.108.40.206 device manager = 220.127.116.11 OS before issue 4.2 i believe.
My blackberry is not booting/starting up. Initially I thought my battery must have depleted, but when I connect my BB to the wall charger the red light at the top right corner pops up, its there for 10 seconds or so. Then the screen shows the phone is charging for 4-5 seconds, post which the screen goes blank, completely blank. I have left it for couple of hours, but nothing happens.
Everytime the charger is disconnected and reconnected the same thing happens.
Even when I connect my BB with the USB cable same things happen - Red light for 10 seconds, shows its charging for 4-5 seconds and then black screen. The phone is not booting/starting up even after I had left it with charger for 2-3 hrs.
I have searched through the forums but not seen anything related to the problem i'm having. I have a curve 8900 on orange, the problem is; When i turn on the BB, it gets past the initial red light stage and when the OS actually goes to load, it will load to 3/4 of the way along the progress bar and just stop, constant reboots and battery pulls it will stil load to 3/4's and stop. I have tried using the application loader from command prompt as described in some threads on here and using the JLCmder, using the plug in and press next when the red light comes on, this process works untill the aplication loader tells the device to reboot and it loads again, cos it gets stuck 3/4's of the way, the application loader cannot continue and finish, it just sits there constantly trying to connect to the phone.

The other day my phone (LG VX8350) suddenly started doing this, It will turn on, show the Verizon logo and then turn off and keep repeating this until I take the battery out. It does the same thing if I plug it in to charge it.I can access the "downloading" screen by holding 5 and pressing the power button, but I don't even know what that's for. It does keep the phone on long enough to get my PC to recognize that it's plugged in, though.
I've got LGNPST, and was going to try to use that, and It recognizes an "UNKNOWN" phone. I tried to register the driver for the VX8350, but I get "The Module Was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found" (PS- I'm running windows 7 64-bit)Also bitpim will realize something's plugged in but will hang and not respond till the phone is unplugged.I seem stuck here, Verizon told me I had to buy a new phone without even trying anything. It was working just fine a few days ago..
I have recently replaced my Blackberry Curve with a broken trackball, and for a few days the replacement has been working fine, but over the past day the LED has stopped flashing when I receive any sort of message. I have tried resetting the handset, removing the battery etc, but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions?
Quick question; whenever I receive a new messge or an email or messenger alert, depending on my profile, the red light flashes. How long does it flash for? I thought it would keep going until the new message is read but after a while it stops even if the message has not been opened. Is this normal?
Last night, I plugged the charger into my 8900, saw the clock displayed, and went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, I had 4 new emails and 2 text messages, but the LED was still blinking green, not red. Had I not looked at the 8900's screen, I would not have know there were messages waiting for me.I searched the forums on this issue, and came across one post which said exiting the bedside mode by bypassing the clock application's "Exit Bedside Mode" option can cause this. All I can think of, is that I might have set it to Bedside Mode (which turns off the LED) and then pressed the MUTE button to put it in standby. I remember seeing the message dialog box show up saying the phone was entering standby mode, but the message never went away. I cleared the dialog box by pressing the red End Call button. I think the phone may also have exited Bedside Mode at that time, or I may have manually exited it via the clock's option. My guess is that this is what caused the LED not to flash red after receiving messages. Unfortunately, I've been unable to replicate the error using this method, or any combination thereof.
My blackberry keep vibrating and led is flashing, yet there is no notification or message anywhere. I thought it was a waether app I had installed but deleting that didn't help. Any idea whats going on here? this is REALLY frustrating, its like a false alarm reaching for my blackberry to see there is nothing there
I just got the 8900 yesterday, and I had skipped the setup when I opened it up yesterday. Today I decide to restart my BB because I was removing a Google mobile app, so once I restarted, I got the BB set-up tutorial thingy popping up again. So I set the language and set it to not to remind me afterwards. However, once after doing so, the green LED starts flashing green. I asked one of my friends, and he says its Coverage, and told me to turn it off. And I did as I was told, yet its still flashin green. The LED itself isnt flashing constantly like it should in Coverage tho, it blinks about 7-8 times, before it stops, for half a minute and starts blinking once again. Its irriating and I would like to turn it off for good I'm on Rogers carries, and im running 18.104.22.168 OS.
I have a curve 8900 that won't turn of suddenly after I got the battery out and then put it back. The red light is flashing and the screen is black. It is also can not connect to the BB Desktop. When I tried to update the phone to be able to connect it the update is stick when it is trying to initialize the phone.
Last week my girlfriend dropped my BB in water that was real quick (3 secs | kitchen sink) and it wasn't that bad but as precaution I pulled put battery and put in jar with uncooked rice. After about a week took I out tried it yesterday to get it working for about 6 hours and no use.
It's just total dead just very very long red light flashing I have tried Jl_Cmder doesn't seems to be working I Can see it connected with PC but not DM I have tried APPLOADER with jvm and no jvm just stuck on waiting for device initialization for hours and hours and keep sending error device not found.
And yes there was no sign of life for about 4 to 5 hours but after pulling out battery and connecting it to external charger I am getting a battery sign on screen.
I was looking for an answer to this question through various searches on the internet, and was hoping that maybe someone here could help. When I receive a new message, I my phone (on the normal setting) displays a flashing red led to let me know that I have a new, unread message. However, after about 5 minutes or so, the led stops blinking. Is this normal? Is there some way to set the led to keep blinking until the message has been read?
I'm also having another issue where certain messages (such as password reminders from this site) are being received but seem to be automatically set to 'read' and shown as open as soon as I receive them. Therefore, I don't get a new message indicator or a red blinking led. That might be the topic of another post.
I have a blackberry curve 8530. It stoped working and just wont power on. I bought a new battery for it and let it charge for about 10 hours. It starts to turn on and boot up but once the loading bar gets 1/16th of the way loaded it shuts down and starts all over again.
I deletd some apps and rebooted blackberry to complete deletion.since then my blackberry is not booting up. it just doesnt go beyond the rebooting screen.A white screen with blackberry written in blue.
My blackberry curve 9360 is not booting, i tried inserting the battery its not booting. i tried charging it but the red led blinks for seconds and then again it gets off. the phone some times starts to boot but blackscreen comes.a battery sign with red cross appears.
Blackberry Curve 9300 v6 Has been constantly re-booting since last night and is now lasting only minutes at a time before doing it again. Two devices of the same make and model in the house and both are crashing at exactly the same time. how to stop it?
2 weeks ago i picked up a used BB 8310 off freecycle, the woman had upgraded and didnt need it so she wanted to give it away. Score!. I finally got around to ordering a new battery for it because she kept the one it came with, and the battery showed up saturday.I put the new battery in the phone turned it on and nothing. So i plugged it into the wall charger and all i got was the red LED for 2-5 seconds and then nothing. does the same thing when you plug it into the USB.Is this a bad battery or is the phone a total loss? im sad because i was so excited to use my new phone and i still cant.
I just had this new BB 8530 for a few hours from the Verizon store. I love it and it seems have a lot better than my old BB 8330. Got home, I plug the BB 8530 to the computer, using BB Desktop Manager to transfer my contacts and calendar, then it just kept on booting for hours and hours.
I was using OS 4.6 version on my phone. I updated my phone's OS to 5.0 version and it worked fine for an hour, then I installed the blackberry messenger on my phone and restarted the phone. From then my phone keeps booting repeatedly with out even starting. I tried doing a hard reset by removing the battery, but no go. Even now when I try connecting my phone to desktop software, desktop software shows initializing and then again says device unable to connect when the phone restarts automatically.
Most everything worked, but there is no message icon (showing 3 messages) and the profile icon is gone, but the ring around the icon is present. Did several battery pulls with no change.
The last 3rd party application I loaded was weather bug, but it's been running well with no problem for some time. I loaded my last back up and loaded up combined3 Service books. Everything came back up. Did another battery pull today after using google sync and gmail apps and I got the same errors again. Repeated my last fix (SB's but used a different Backup) and everything is as normal. Is there something that I should be doing different to prevent this from happening again in the future? Is it a 3rd party app causing these errors or something else I should be looking into?
I should have captured a screen shot, but I did not...I also should have tried using M to go to messages, but I didn't do that either. If it happens again anytime soon I will make sure to do both of these and see what the results are.
