I'm trying to update the os on my Blackberry Curve from 7.0 to 7.1. I started at 6pm last night and 18 hours later the phone is still continuously rebooting. Should I pull the battery out?
I have had my bb curve 9360 for about 4 weeks now it has been working fine until last night it turned off and now it keeps rebooting have connected it to my computer. I have done a repair on it but it is still doing the same thing and has now been in repair on my pc for about 2 hours and it not doing anything.

Last night my phone started rebooting continuously. Today I have found that it will only stayswitched on if I knock my O2 network connection off. BB and internet work fine but as soon asmy phone searched for network connection it starts to reboot over and over again
I have a Cliq Xt and it reboots. I have read many forums and do not see a clear answer. Will rooting the phone and upgrading to gingerbread solve the problem?
I recently updated my bbm on my phone from my phone and had to restart the phone and so I did, but now it is in a reboot cycle it loads completely then it goes off and starts again, I tried connecting it to the computer without the battery to update the software like I read on another forum page, but it is saying there are no new updates found
My 9360 keeps on rebooting. I did the battery pull, press back button till reboot is done but it doesnt work. I also connected it to my pc to "update" as a previous person was advised but the 9360 is still rebooting.Perhaps the 9360 was'nt a good choice?
Yesterday evening I updated my blackberry curve 8520, it then needed re booting and since then it has frozen, the screen and the keys? Was working perfectly before with no problems. I have taken battery/sim card out but still nothing. I have also tried to use my blackberry desktop but it is still trying to connect.
Since updating my OS to 6, my phone is a disaster. All I see is the hour glass. My phone continues to lock up. Should I (can I) change back to OS 5 for now until this thing is stable?
My blackberry curve 9360 which is two months hold has been constantly restarting itself since last night. I've spent all day looking online and trying everything possible but nothing has worked. I've updated software, taken out the battery, left it on charge, left it off charge, taken out the memory card, wiped absolutely everything but nothing has worked. I can't make it to the o2 shop until Wednesday but would obviously prefer for it to be fixed before then.
My blackberry battery died one afternoon and when i started to charge it, the reboot screen kept appearing followed by the red LED light before attempting to reboot again. i have tried installing the new software but it is still rebooting half way stopping, LED light comes on and the whole process continues. the bb is only 2 months old and hasnt been dropped or damaged in any way. could the battery need replaced?
I have a Curve 8520. I was taking a little look around it last night and saw this "Memory Cleaning" option and I thought "I wanna clean it's memory of cache and such stuff" - so I enabled it. I then locked the phone and it said it was going to start and would take a few minutes. Half hour later it was still "going". By going I mean it goes to the white screen with the timer, after a while in the top right it does the whole "receiving/sending data" arrow thingy, then goes back to timer. Then it goes dark; the red light stays on, then goes out, and the white screen reappears.
I thought this was normal, but after it happening for half an hour I thought "surely not" - anyway I decided to leave it going overnight. When I woke this morning my screen was black; blasted thing must have been doing it so much during the night, it drained the battery! It's now plugged it, and it's doing the same thing - there seems to be no way of stopping it. The phone won't turn on. And it just keeps doing the same thing - I fear something's gone wrong and that it's now broken.
I have the BB 8530. When I get a voicemail, a simple, white icon (a single line with a small circle at each end) appears in the top left of my screen, where the email & text notification icons also appear. In the past, once I check my voicemails, the icon goes away. But this time it has not. I have checked my voicemail several times and even erased all of my saved voice mails, but the icon will not go away! How can I get rid of it?
Blackberry Bridge stopped working suddenly on my smartphone and showing 'OFF' continuously with following message;Failed to turn off MAP services.Blackberry Bridge cannot start.Turn off unused serial port profiles under Bluetooth > Options and try again?
I've just attempted to update my E72 to the latest firmware using the OTA feature. In fact I made the upgrade via my WIFI connection. The downlod succeeded, then the E72 updated the firmware and rebooted. The problem is that my E72 isn't rebooting at all. After it switched off (for the reboot cycle) it could not start anymore. When I'm powering it on, the display shows some background activities, then there is a line and finally it switches off.It seems that the firmware update broke the OS. Has anyone encountered a similar behavior ?
I've read through many posts on this forum of users reporting that their phone keeps rebooting after an update and although mine keeps rebooting, it's not because of an update.I've been happily using my N900 since 11 Jan 2010 and have been applying updates as they've come. The last time I manually checked for an update was on 24 March 2010. On my way in to work this morning (31 March 2010, with a full battery) my phone started its rebooting fits. To be clear, when I say it reboots I mean the dashboard comes up (wallpaper + widgets and all), as if the phone loads fully, and I can slide to the other 3 dashboards for about 10 seconds, but then it all just suddenly reboots. On my Fedora 12 i686 PC I downloaded and flashed the RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin firmware which went successfully by following the guide at https://wiki.maemo.org/ Updating_the_tablet _firmware. The phone booted up and the screen came up asking for my region and country and all that jazz, I was able to input those details in OK and the home screen came up with the default wallpaper and widgets and stuff.. and then it starts it reboot fits again. I live in Melbourne, Australia and purchased the phone from Amazon.com and sent it via the forwarding service myus.com. I use the phone on the Optus network. Is there anything else I can try on the phone to bring it out of its rebooting fits? Or should I return it to Amazon.com... and if so, how can I do that being that I'm in Australia and "cheated the rules" bringing it out of the USA?
I had a phone update at around 10:00 P.M. on my Atrix 2. After installing the update, my phone auto re started. Since then it keeps turning on then off over and over and over. When I do manage to manually power down and start it back up I have no service and cannot call or text. My WiFi seems to work but thats about it? Is anyone else having this problem? What can I to solve this problem?
BB Bold 9780 is frozen for days. I downloaded an update from APP World and when I rebooted device it shows BB Logo and the loading line fills up from left to right but never changes screen. The phone is locked in this mode. Is there a manual reset pinhole? The update was for the Traveler APP upgrade free.
Running 4.1.83 update. Prior to this update, Skype didn't work at all. Just static for the folks I was trying to talk to. I just removed Skype. After the update I re-installed, Skype and great, it works. It's important as I talk to a friend in South Africa fairly frequently. Then I started noticing reboots / crashes. Phone just restarts, big old Red M logo advertises the fact the phone has just fell over and is restarting. I think I'm noticing a pattern. I've started leaving Skype running in background so I can get incoming calls from my South African friend. Every time that I've noticed a reboot, Skype was running. It could also be related to poor signal strength. By the way, I'm using Skype over my WAN data, not Wifi. Is there a way to get a crash log from the system.
