I have had a Pearl 9105 for about 2 weeks now and really liked it until a few hours ago when I found it dead, switched off and not responding to anything. I had been having some trouble with one particular contact - sometimes I wasn't allowed to check our text message conversation and when selecting 'compose SMS' to this person nothing happened. To try to verify this I took the battery out and re-inserted it. The phone started rebooting itself with the black screen and progress bar and I put it in the holster I have for it. However it continued to boot and as far as I can remember it booted fully and I was able to check the conversation that previously has refused to open. However I went for a walk with my family and a few hours later took my phone out to check it and the screen was black.
I left it charging all night last night and at lunch, when I used it for a while showing a photo slideshow to my sister, it said battery was 80%. When I got home I plugged it in to charge, in 2 different sockets, and also connected it to my computer. Nothing happened. Device manager also refused to open (I am now reinstalling to see if this does anything). I have removed and replaced the battery several times, taken out the sim card, tried what other people suggest (starting to charge without battery) but nothing happens. I don't even get flashing LEDs. It is absolutely dead. I am rather cross about the lack of customer service for RIM in the UK. I phoned their only UK number to be told they are closed and dialed 3 for their technical support, first time they hung up and second I got through to American support (yet to see if I was charged for this).
My Blackberry Pearl 8110 that I've had for a while is flashing red and won't turn on. It flashes, pauses, then flashes and so on. I took the battery out last night to check the make of the phone and when I put the battery back in it started flashing and wouldn't turn on. It's been on charge all night, and nothing has happened.
My BlackBerry Pearl LED flashing light keeps flashing when there isn't any notifications, messages, emails, calendar events or anything. The only way I can stop this is to take the battery out to reboot the phone.
When I have a missed call, the LED flashes red and the only way I can turn it off is to turn my BB off and on again. Is there some other way to accomplish this?
ok so the phone is only new and was working fine until i took the battery out and put it back in and now it wont turn on and the light keeps flashing red
eraly december I bought an Nokia BH-503 over internet. The device arrived perfectly, but 2 days ago it just "bricked".
I was trying to pair it to my iPhone and then both red and green leds lighted up.. I did try to turn the device off several times, holding every single key for some extra seconds... none worked. I did try to plug it to charger and hold multi-key + volume up, no results at all.. After 2 days these two little fellows still on and shinning... and I cant even turn the device off..
Unit has been working fine for almost a year. Got in the car this morning and all 4 LEDs were lit. I put it on the charger. The battery LED turned orange for a bit then back to red. Never turned green.
I'm finding that my LED indications that I set in SMS popup don't seem to work. Actually it seems that anything that would cause an LED blink as part of its notification and wake the screen up (e.g. SMS Popup, getting/missing a phone call) doesn't work properly. If I disable SMS popup and use the standard text message notifications I get the LED notification. I also seem to get new voicemail and new email LED notifications (they don't wake the screen up).
I cannot get apps to directly access leds however I installed light flow and it controls many colors properly. Red, green, blue, yellow, white, and purple can all be produced.
I have a Blackberry 8230 that won't turn on. When the battery is charged, the red light flashes very slowly (about 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off). When I plug the USB cable into the computer, I see the BB hard drive for a brief second or two, then it disappears. It will appear briefly again about 20 seconds later, then disappear again. Is the battery shot? Or could there be something else going on? The phone was on the charger all night.
I am having a problem to upgrade the device software of my daughter Pearl 8100 from v4.2 to 4.5. The BB update web site does not recognize that is a new version of the device software available.
I just get the run-a-round at Verizon..I had a Pearl and loved it for texting, but never used the web on it.Seemed like a waste of money for the data plan.Back to a old phone but would love to have the pearl back without the data plan.Is this possible? I still have the pearl, just wishing I could use it for calls and texting.
I have a Pearl 8100 which has developed a bad screen.I was given another 8100 as a replacement. Same network, T-Mobile. I want to copy all the data, address book, etc. and setup from the old 8100 to the new one. I backed up the old 8100 using Blackberry DM but when I restored to the new 8100 nothing was changed.
I've recently imported a couple of .wma files into my Pearl 3G 9105. Although the files are listed , whenever i try to play them i get an error prompt "Error Playing: An error has occurred attempting to play media".
Basically, i found a BlackBerry Pearl 8100 O2 on the street yesterday. I know this might upset some people, but im going to keep it. Because i need a new phone! Now how should i go on about this? will it work with just inserting my SIM ?
Can anyone tell me if the Blackberry Desktop 6.0 properly supports synchronization between Outlook 2010 32-bit and a Pearl 8100 with device software v4.5.0.102 (Platform 2.7.0.85)?I first did a one-way sync from Outlook to my device (replacing all device data). That worked fine. However, using Calendar as an example, the next sync tried to delete all calendar entries from some point in 2009 and prior. It also identified changes to entries that were not changed at all!Sync'ing Task, Memos and Contacts yielded the same problem where items were identified as being changed when they were not. When trying different sequences of synchronization including doing a reset on my Pearl before resync'ing, I get different and inconsistent results. The Blackberry site says I have the latest version of device software, so...
i am looking to unlock my HD2 tmobile version, without unlocking with custom ROM, so that i can also use it with a different SIM.please let me know has anyone does this with Tmobile version and if yes than what would be the cost of getting it done from someone.
I've got a Bold 9780- t-mobile for about 5 months now that will not come on. The led indicator flashes red 1 pause 2,3,4 fast flashing and then pause 5 and over again. That is all it does. I've been searching every where but I can't seem to find what it means.I got home and have put it on the recharger worked like a charm. After an hour used it for a text message, not a problem. Went to sleep for about an hour and when I came back the screen was black and all it did was flash 1-234-5 over and over again. I have taking the battery out waited ten minutes put it back in and 1-234-5 just the flashing. My phone will not start up. The screen stays black. The flashing is like I never seen before starts with a 1 flash then an interval of 1or 2 seconds then 3 quick flashes again a short interval and another flash. This keeps on repeating. Even when you take the battery out wait for ten minutes or longer it just flashes the same sequences If you link it to computer the computer doesn't reconize him as well. I'm totally lcked out of the device.Flashing is all it does.
I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and last night the green LED came on and stayed on. This was when I was charging it. I have pulled the battery, I have made sure the options for coverage is set to off. I have also uninstalled any apps I don't need. I didn't install anything prior to this happening and it's draining my battery quite quickly. Even when I switch phone off with the red button, the green LED stays. When I pull the battery, the green LED comes on as soon as I put it back in.
My blackberry keeps flashing even if I have no notifications. It has occasionally happened when e.g. I get a facebook notification, click to open it, then close it before it has fully loaded the comment etc. But it's now happening randomly by itself and I keep having to do a battery pull to stop it
Is there a way I can stop this and a reason this is happening?
