My BlackBerry Pearl LED flashing light keeps flashing when there isn't any notifications, messages, emails, calendar events or anything. The only way I can stop this is to take the battery out to reboot the phone.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi just got the curve 9300 and before had the curve 8520 and the flashing LED is so dim i can barely see it on my new one! i have the phone on silent at work and use the LED to tell when i have a notification and i cant even see it in daylight hardly. is there any way to make the red light flash up brighter like on the older model? my sister has the new bold and hers is fine and bright. Ive got the free bebuzz app and even when i select my fave contact as BRIGHT pink it is still really dim light.
Also i have my hotmail account set up on my bb. When i get a new email the notification icon appears at the top but i cant view the email in my hotmail box only if i go into the "messages" icon. this isnt how it was before either!
I am on a curve 8310 I think it is with an annoying flashing blue light. I think it's a cross between a white and blue as it's a pale blue light. I have turned off every notification I can find, email, text, facebook etc. I have deselected the LED option ( changed to none) I cannot figure how WHY this light keeps blinking. I've taken the battery out, i'm at my wits end.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a Pearl 9105 for about 2 weeks now and really liked it until a few hours ago when I found it dead, switched off and not responding to anything. I had been having some trouble with one particular contact - sometimes I wasn't allowed to check our text message conversation and when selecting 'compose SMS' to this person nothing happened. To try to verify this I took the battery out and re-inserted it. The phone started rebooting itself with the black screen and progress bar and I put it in the holster I have for it. However it continued to boot and as far as I can remember it booted fully and I was able to check the conversation that previously has refused to open. However I went for a walk with my family and a few hours later took my phone out to check it and the screen was black.
I left it charging all night last night and at lunch, when I used it for a while showing a photo slideshow to my sister, it said battery was 80%. When I got home I plugged it in to charge, in 2 different sockets, and also connected it to my computer. Nothing happened. Device manager also refused to open (I am now reinstalling to see if this does anything). I have removed and replaced the battery several times, taken out the sim card, tried what other people suggest (starting to charge without battery) but nothing happens. I don't even get flashing LEDs. It is absolutely dead. I am rather cross about the lack of customer service for RIM in the UK. I phoned their only UK number to be told they are closed and dialed 3 for their technical support, first time they hung up and second I got through to American support (yet to see if I was charged for this).
My Blackberry Pearl 8110 that I've had for a while is flashing red and won't turn on. It flashes, pauses, then flashes and so on. I took the battery out last night to check the make of the phone and when I put the battery back in it started flashing and wouldn't turn on. It's been on charge all night, and nothing has happened.

It has occasionally happened when e.g. I get a facebook notification, click to open it, then close it before it has fully loaded the comment etc. But it's now happening randomly by itself and I keep having to do a battery pull to stop it

So I just got the G3 yesterday and finally have it setup. I have noticed though that the notification light does not seem to be functioning. When i receive notifications there is no flashing, regardless of the type of notification. I know the light is not broken because it does flash blue when I knock on the screen, and it also lights red when charging. I downloaded Light Flow to see if I could force the light, but that does not seem to have worked either. I checked to make sure the notification light was set to on under the Display setting page.

I have recently noticed that there is a small blue light located next to the secondary camera, (front top right corner above the screen) which flashes every few seconds or so when the phone is not in use. I left it alone, and it still wouldnt respond. So i took the battery out, left it for 5 minutes, and put it back in. Usually, it automatically starts up, but this time there was no response. When i tried to turn it on, the screen stayed black, but the light in the corner came on red, for roughly 10 seconds, then turned off, and began to flash for around 3 seconds, every 10 seconds. ive tried plugging it into the computer, however it cannot pick it up, and if i try to install older software (downgrade it, which it recommends to do) it fails just before the end, every time.

Iv'e tried everything i took the battery out for an hour put it back in tried to charge it left it on charge for a couple of hours nothing.Iv'e tried to re-update it but it wont recgonise being plugged in to the computer.
Picked up an 8820 for $10. The screen was cracked and I replaced that and bought a new battery for it. Nothing happens when I insert wall or usb charger into the port. Computer doesn't see device when plugged into usb. JL_cmder and MFI Multiloader can't find the device. the 8820 hasn't gotten wet so I'm not sure.

But this morning, when I went to unplug it from the charger, the green light was constantly blinking and it didn't take the charge. Nothing happens when I turn it on and the green light starts blinking again when I plug it back in.
