Picked up an 8820 for $10. The screen was cracked and I replaced that and bought a new battery for it. Nothing happens when I insert wall or usb charger into the port. Computer doesn't see device when plugged into usb. JL_cmder and MFI Multiloader can't find the device. the 8820 hasn't gotten wet so I'm not sure.
Phone worked fine for nearly 2 weeks and now it does not work anymore: when you insert battery the phone want comes on and the red led light keep flashing and screen is black nothing more...
We are trader and buy/sell many black berry models but never faced such situation before with any of the older models of Blackberry.
We have more than 100 customers return of Blackberry 9900 bricked, red light flashing.

I have a 8820 which was my office BB but I got a new official bb so the company let me have the 8820 but will not provide any support for it. How do I remove the IT policy from my 8820 to be able to use it as my personal bb? I read in another forum that you need OS 4.3 or greater to remove the IT policy. The OS on my 8820 is v4.2.2169 (Platform 2.4.0.67). Also read that you need desktop manager and some other stuff to backup and perform some other tasks, then install OS 4.3 and then remove the policy. Since this is now my personal bb I don't have any software or CD for it except the instrument itself. I am guessing I need to install some software on my pc, backup to be able to remove IT policy.
Where can I get the software for what I have to install it on a PC. This might also be a dumb question but what is the connection with a pc and a blackberry to install/ backup etc?If there is some intro doc that explains this it would be great.
I am on a curve 8310 I think it is with an annoying flashing blue light. I think it's a cross between a white and blue as it's a pale blue light. I have turned off every notification I can find, email, text, facebook etc. I have deselected the LED option ( changed to none) I cannot figure how WHY this light keeps blinking. I've taken the battery out, i'm at my wits end.
I have a bold 9930 that i purchased off ebay had it for 3-4 weeks then one day while playing music my phone just shut off and started blinking red. I took it to 3 technicians and also researched it online and apparently this problem is common with these models. Now my question is if their is a known issue with the phones why arent they called back in i paid 30,000 Jamamican dollars for my cellphone US equivalent $350 and i just lost it just like that because Blackberry decides that they are going to make crappy phones? Is this the kind of product im paying for??? Is this how Blackberry deals with Paying costomers?
So I just got the G3 yesterday and finally have it setup. I have noticed though that the notification light does not seem to be functioning. When i receive notifications there is no flashing, regardless of the type of notification. I know the light is not broken because it does flash blue when I knock on the screen, and it also lights red when charging. I downloaded Light Flow to see if I could force the light, but that does not seem to have worked either. I checked to make sure the notification light was set to on under the Display setting page.
I have an n73 with the most up to date software on it. I have recently noticed that there is a small blue light located next to the secondary camera, (front top right corner above the screen) which flashes every few seconds or so when the phone is not in use. Does anyone have any ideas what this is and how it can be stopped?
so my led light keeps flashing even after i open up and reply to a bbm convo, it's happened on my curve 8900, bold 9000 and now my 9700, and it's only with bbm convo's. in order to get rid of the light i have to mark convo as unread then open it and it will go away, im sick of doing this, any insight?
Anyone notice that when you make a phone call there is a red flashing led that you can see through the casing directly to the right of the status light? Took a week for me to notice.
I got a blackberry 9900 no less than 2 days ago, I havent dropped it or wet it or anything it is in perfect condontion. I left it to charge last night around 11 and woke up at 6 and it will not turn on at all the only thing that happens is the LED light keep flashing red every 30 seconds, i have tried taking out the battery and putting it back, i have also tried leaving it to charge and plugging it into my computer
My curve randomly turned itself off the other day. I went to power it back on with no luck. I decided to charge it and was still unable to turn it on. There is a flashing red light, 1 flash followed by 3 flashes.
Okay so my blackberry curve 3G is relatively new, around 10 months. And today it was working fine, decent charge on the battery, when it decided to crash. I left it alone, and it still wouldnt respond. So i took the battery out, left it for 5 minutes, and put it back in. Usually, it automatically starts up, but this time there was no response. When i tried to turn it on, the screen stayed black, but the light in the corner came on red, for roughly 10 seconds, then turned off, and began to flash for around 3 seconds, every 10 seconds. ive tried plugging it into the computer, however it cannot pick it up, and if i try to install older software (downgrade it, which it recommends to do) it fails just before the end, every time.
I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and yesterday update Blackberry Apps World, it popped up saying it had to be rebooted so i did this, the phone has not turned on since and has a red flashing light?!! It also will not connect to any computer, the computer will not acknowledge a connecton!
I have charged it all night, pulled the battery, tried a new battery!
My Curve 8520 will not switch on today and the red message indicator light flashes once then rapidly 4 times then stops for a few secs then starts again. It looks like a morse code signal.
My BlackBerry Pearl LED flashing light keeps flashing when there isn't any notifications, messages, emails, calendar events or anything. The only way I can stop this is to take the battery out to reboot the phone.
my red light is flashing when i try to reinstall the os on it using app loader the computer does see that i pluged my blackberry in what can i do to find it or whip the blackberry

I have a problem. I bought a Nokia C5 one week ago and the message light doesn't stop. I read the users guide but it doesn't specify my problem, because I only have 6 message in the mailbox. Can anybody tell me how to make disappear that light??
I bought my blackberry myself last february brand new off of ebay, had no problems until a couple of days ago.I took my battery in and out to use when needed as i was saving the charge, but when i tried to turn the phone on once more, nothing would happen and the phones signal light jus continually flashes red.I've tried taking everything out n reboosting, and ive tried connecting it to the computer but as the screen dont come on i have no way of connecting it.
I have looked around the forum and could not find anything. My led will just flash a light blue color at random. It is not the dark blue like bluetooth blue it is a light blue
I am having issues with my red indicator light flashing, I have no new messages,e-mails or texts. Was wondering way this keeps flashing and is there a way to turn it off.
I have had my HS-700 since August of 2010 and haven't had any major issues with it. But this morning, when I went to unplug it from the charger, the green light was constantly blinking and it didn't take the charge. Nothing happens when I turn it on and the green light starts blinking again when I plug it back in.
I have had my 9900 for just over a year after upgrade from a 9000. I loved the phone until two weeks ago I did a upgrade to Blackberry Appworld. Once the upgrade completed it asked for a restart and then the phone became a brick. It would not restart and the red light just flashes. After contacting support and following suggestions to try and make the phone connect to the desktop software without success I took the phone back to Rogers who sent it away to the repair shop. The result... not able to be repaired. Somehow this is now the customers problem because something that no one can identify went wrong with the software upgrade process. No support from Blackberry just what Rogers has to offer which is that I can do an early upgrade to another phone for more money.
