My blackberry keeps flashing even if I have no notifications. It has occasionally happened when e.g. I get a facebook notification, click to open it, then close it before it has fully loaded the comment etc. But it's now happening randomly by itself and I keep having to do a battery pull to stop it
Is there a way I can stop this and a reason this is happening?
My BlackBerry Pearl LED flashing light keeps flashing when there isn't any notifications, messages, emails, calendar events or anything. The only way I can stop this is to take the battery out to reboot the phone.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi just got the curve 9300 and before had the curve 8520 and the flashing LED is so dim i can barely see it on my new one! i have the phone on silent at work and use the LED to tell when i have a notification and i cant even see it in daylight hardly. is there any way to make the red light flash up brighter like on the older model? my sister has the new bold and hers is fine and bright. Ive got the free bebuzz app and even when i select my fave contact as BRIGHT pink it is still really dim light.
Also i have my hotmail account set up on my bb. When i get a new email the notification icon appears at the top but i cant view the email in my hotmail box only if i go into the "messages" icon. this isnt how it was before either!

Sometimes when I put the battery in it begins to boot up, the freezes and stops. It then intermittently flashes red twice while the battery is in or connected to charger.
Tried connecting to BB Desktop to restore factory settings but can't get it to connect until the device has booted up (whic it won't)...
Anyone notice that when you make a phone call there is a red flashing led that you can see through the casing directly to the right of the status light? Took a week for me to notice.

I hv tried to reload d app mgr on da comp but there ain't even a C drive to get to da Application Loader - it won't even connect to da comp. So re-installing or reverting back to d old OS is out of da question.Then I tried pressing on da call end button while putting da batt back on... and alternately pressing da call & end button to boot it up again as suggested on troubleshooting sites but still da red light slowly flashes. I learnt that this issue could be well due to too many running apps on his mobile (for eg. tweets n whatnot set to update every few minutes).

We just got this phone one month ago and this is our second phone with the same problem. Verizon has no clue and just replaces the phone. I can't believe that RIM would sell a device with this many hardware issues. There must be a way to force a reset of the power management system?

I've tried the SIM card in another BB and it works fine in there. I've had it charging both with and without the SIM in for a good few hours and no joy. As of the last week, every once in a while I will receive some facebook message or notification to my blackberry, but the majority don't make it to my Blackberry and instead just stay on facebook until I open the site on my laptop.
I receive all Facebook notifications on Blackberry Torch. However, any notification related to Facebook Groups come only as email and I do not get push notification for it.
