In the past few days I've noticed, upon opening a new app, I get a red frame that flashes around my screen. I just updated Nova and did make some tweaks, but nothing I can attribute to causing this. It's pretty strange and only lasts a plot second upon changing apps.
View 5 Repliesfor some reason every few minutes i get the location icon flashing up in the top left of the notification bar. there is always the location icon on the right hand side which i believe is normal but i've never had the one on the left before.

Pressing the camera button does bring up the camera in 8MP mode-Yay!-which is a work around for the normal camera icon resorting to WS mode everytime the phone is rebooted or the camera app cleared from RAM.

The red frame appears and blinks when doing activities such as placing calls in "dialer" and togglinging wii-fi and airplane mode. This started happening about a week ago weeks after the ICS upgrade.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis makes the volume rocker and frame look "rough", when I think that's just the camera and flash accentuating ribbed nature of the volume rocker Anyway, does anybody else's look like this around the volume rocker? I can actually push it back in just a tad on the top side of the rocker, but not on the bottom.
If this is the way it is, well, so be it. If it's not, and nobody else has this issue, I'll be exchanging it later. I've done nothing to this phone but hold it in my hand and set it on my bedside table. The VZW rep put it in their black hard-shell case, which is very tight and hard to get off, but other than that, this has been babied during the whopping 16 hours I've had it.
Over the last couple nights I've noticed that my Turbo won't charge overnight. I often read or play games before bed and it seems if I have a few apps open and then plug it in it won't charge. If I close all the apps down then I've never had a problem.
I've also noticed it freezing up at times and then rebooting by itself if I don't close open apps.
The phone is great and at this point I don't care about Lollipop. We've had 2 S5 go bad with Lollipop and until they get the bugs all worked out I'll keep munchin the kitkat.
i just installed the the outlook app on my droid turbo.when i send an e-mail, the recipient see's that it is coming from my e-mail address (@hotmail.com) how can i change it so that they see it is coming from my actual name instead of my e-mail address?

If the problem persists please power off phone. Well the problem always persists and I always have to power off my phone and turn it back on to get the camera working again. Each time I get to the point where I select clear cache, and after running some scripts on the screen, the fallen down android icon flashes randomly and the phone never recovers. I've let it sit for as long as 45 minutes with the icon flashing and eventually had to turn it off and restart the phone.
