I have a storm 2 9550 for about 5 months now and after a hard reboot 2 or 3 times the phone did not want to come on after pressing the on button. Also the Led light keeps on flashing red continuously. Iam in South Africa and received the phone as a present which was bought from Verizon. Would appreciate if there is a solution before i send it away for repairs.

I looked around on my phone to see if something was wrong or there was an update or something and there was no indication why it was on. Then after that it stopped. Im not running any apps that change the color of your LED. So does anyone have any idea why it would do this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my storm for a week now and after restarting to finalise deleting some apps this green flashing LED light came on. But it's not like a coverage indicator where it flashes constantly it flashes 8 times then goes of for about 5 minutes and then flashes again.
So I tried a battery pull to see if it would go away and the green LED did but now the exact same thing is happening except the LED is red (flashes 8 times stops for 5 mins flashes 8 times and so on)
is there a way i could move my old sms messages from my old phone (sony ericsson) to my new storm 9530?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi bought a bold second hand ages ago and it was working fine until one night when i came in to find my phone switched off with 4 shortish/medium flashing red lights in a sequence, hasnt been dropped or waterdamaged and i had no apps on it and the stock os as i only need it for emails and texts. i cant get it to be recognised by the computer and i know the wire isnt faulty as i borrowed my friends 7230 wire (mini usb is the same for both models) and her 7230 and her husbands 9000 is recognised with and without the battery by my pc and hers.ive tried the following:1. battery pull - 1 long red light then the continuous four medium flashes over and over, same when i plug it into a pc (no red light or battery icon at all when plugged in without a battery)2. using desktop manager - nothing happens no device detected3. using the jl_cmder - no device detected4. using apploader by itself - no device detected/ no way to get past the usb/com port screen as the 'next' button is greyed out5. using apploader through command /nojvm - no device detected/no way to get past the usb/com port screen6. quickly switching phones with my friend when her phone is recognised without a battery and a update is prompted, it sort of works by letting me choose the os but then says no device detected
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had my Curve for just under 2 years and about a week ago it just stopped working. I was out with some friends when I happened to glance at my phone and noticed that the LED was glowing a solid white color. The LED was white for about 10 seconds then went out. After this the phone would not turn back on and the LED was a solid red color.
I figured my battery must be dead so I put it on the charger when I got home. After charging for hours I tried to turn it back on, with no luck. The LED was still solid red and would remain this way for hours. After some initial research, I decided to try and reload to OS. By this time, the LED light was flashing 4 times, pausing briefly, then flashing 4 times again, over and over.
I followed some of the guides others had posted about reloading the OS user the App Loader application. I got past the step of selecting the components I wanted to installed and clicked Next. The process started to work, but when it got to the "Intializing Phone" step it would return an error saying it could not detect the device. The whole time I was going through this process the USB connect/disconnect sounds were playing over and over again.
I continued to research and found out that the BlackBerry was actually in some kind of constant reboot cycle. That it why the USB sounds were playing repeatedly. I assume this is why the computer could not detect the device long enough to finish the installation process.
So this is basically where I am now. I got pretty frustrated with the whole scenario and left it for a few days. I picked my phone up yesterday and tried to turn it on. Initially there was no sign of life from the LED. I held the power button and the BlackBerry LED began to blink twice then pause, blink twice, pause, etc.
I would realy rather not have to pay another couple of hundred dollars for a phone but I can't go without a phone much longer. I am confident that I can get to the same error I did before, but can not get past that point.
I connected my bb to the desktop manager on my brothers laptop. I then realised it was for his storm. The bb went off and wouldnt come back on. there is a red flashing light that flashes every 2 seconds or so. Just wondering if anyone can help

I don't go into those things for fear of doing that. It started last week when my phone was not showing my contact name with the phone number when someone would call me. I went to go and pull up a number today and my entire contact book was empty.I have already tried the following:
-Battery pull, waited for 15 secs.
-Checked my address book filters-both boxes are unchecked
-completed a restore,
I seriously believe that there is a problem with my storm getting updated through my laptop. Since the phone is connected to the net, is it possible to update directly instead of via the laptop?

( the place from we speak while on call)is it suppose to be this way?.i thought there must be 2 speakers for sterio sound one on top from where we hear a call and one at bottom from where we speak on call.

I stopped recieving emails and no messages from blackberry messenger. I called Tmobile and they referred me to RIM. When talking to the folks at RIM they say its a Tmobile issue.Host routing table has no entries and no browser or email service books.

It's Quickpull that I'm trying to install but this is happening with all the .JAD apps. BBSlider and Google maps which are both .COD files installed fine.
