All the applications run only just for a moment.

Jul 18, 2010everyone noticed his after I installed the app called System which shows you running apps, disk procces, memory use and graphs it all out nicely.I noticed while having the System app open and double clickeing the home button to bring up the recently opened list, when I close them one by one I can see my free memory increasing.So does this mean that the apparently closed appe are still running and taking up memory space.I also noticed that in the procces window that maps is constantly running along with the phone process.

May 12, 2012I have had a Bold 9900 since April 2012, the battery life on it is incredibly short and my patience with it is beginning to match. For example, it was fully charged at 0930 this morning, and now at 17:50, the battery has a quater left.I have closed out of the internet, my apps are logged out, there is nothing running on it out of the ordinary, I dont understand what is happening. It has been like this since day 1. Initially I put it down to me using th ephone so much because it was my 'new toy' but now I rarely pick it up. I misplaced it today for approximately 4 hours so it had no use what so ever yet the battery is still nearly flat!

Sep 1, 2014A Couple of days ago when I had my headphones in and was listening to music on pandora I switched to youtube to listen to something and when I do that pandora automatically stopped playing, like it's supposed to. I then closed the pandora app and was watching a youtube video. In the middle of the video my music from pandora started playing, when the app was closed. I pressed no buttons or anything to make it play that music. The app was closed. Since then it's been happening more often. Sometimes itll be my itunes music that will randomly started playing when I'm watching a youtube video, and the itunes app is closed. And I'll try to make it stop by opening and closing it again but then when I go to youtube it'll start playing again and I can't make it stop. Does this sound like some sort of water damage to my headphone jack or maybe a problem with my headphones?

May 8, 2013Is this right? I haven't noticed this before today. There are like 7 lines of preview for my email when you pull the status down. Same for stock app and Gmail so doesn't feel like an in app setting. If more than one email comes in, it will say 5 messages at the bottom and preview the first one. If another app comes in after that, it doesn't show a preview.
Is there a way to shut this off? I don't want the preview in the status pull down... just that I have an unread email.

Nov 3, 2011My problem started when I tried to make my N8 a bootable pendrive. I needed to make my E: (phone memory) NTFS. I copied everything, formated E: into NTFS and copied all my stuff back again. Thing is that N8 doesn't support NTFS. My apps that were placed on E: stoped working. So I quitted my bootable pendrive idea. I formated E: again using N8 itself, copied stuff back again. I even restored last working phone backup. Aaand my apps still don't work.

Dec 19, 2011Recently I bought a used N8 which has been working as expected until I noticed that it wouldn't install a single app. When I got the phone the previous user had reset the phone to factory settings and in general tried to turn it back to it's original condition. At first all apps installed without problems. The only app I experienced problems with was Nokia Store, which always got stuck on the loading screen and never opened. Now my N8 hasn't been able to install any apps what so ever, especially no .sis or .sisx files. The installation of .sis or .sisx files results in a error message Unable to install (or something similar in english). The newest software of Symbian Anna is installed on the phone. The only app I've been able to install is one with a .wgz ending.I've tried to reset the phone to factory settings again, reset the device with *#7370# code and held the power button for 8 seconds, and my problem persists.

Jul 7, 2010I just set up my yahoo email on nokia messaging all good so far but my phone keep syncing my email on each time i set even if email app is still closed, is that good?
I mean if i close the email app also the sync should be disabled right? but on my phone it still syncing even if email app is closed. This is annoing coz night i want to disable the email sync, i don't want to be waked by new emails sound.

It downloads and the Ovi bar says "installing" then a smaller window appear in the lower section of the screen saying "preparing installation" then "Installing" then after a few seconds "installation Failed.
