After I sent my N8 to support and they reset my phone, I accessed my store account and I noticed that some of my app's like angry birds, NFS, fruit ninja, etc. wasn't associated with my account anymore. Now I can't install them, and i'll have to buy it again. I must confess that I'm really disapointed with many problems i've been having with nokia lately.

My problem started when I tried to make my N8 a bootable pendrive. I needed to make my E: (phone memory) NTFS. I copied everything, formated E: into NTFS and copied all my stuff back again. Thing is that N8 doesn't support NTFS. My apps that were placed on E: stoped working. So I quitted my bootable pendrive idea. I formated E: again using N8 itself, copied stuff back again. I even restored last working phone backup. Aaand my apps still don't work.

Today I did a factory reset using *#7370# for some reasons and updated my N8-00 to latest Nokia Belle Refresh. But Microsoft Apps 2.01 is not installed and I am unable to install it again through Nokia Suite!

Recently I bought a used N8 which has been working as expected until I noticed that it wouldn't install a single app. When I got the phone the previous user had reset the phone to factory settings and in general tried to turn it back to it's original condition. At first all apps installed without problems. The only app I experienced problems with was Nokia Store, which always got stuck on the loading screen and never opened. Now my N8 hasn't been able to install any apps what so ever, especially no .sis or .sisx files. The installation of .sis or .sisx files results in a error message Unable to install (or something similar in english). The newest software of Symbian Anna is installed on the phone. The only app I've been able to install is one with a .wgz ending.I've tried to reset the phone to factory settings again, reset the device with *#7370# code and held the power button for 8 seconds, and my problem persists.

I received the phone earlier today, and all was fine until a few hours ago when the Maps Suite, Social, Store, Ovi Music, etc stopped working (the loading wheel spins for 0-2 seconds and then goes back to the previous screen). I have tried installing various versions of each app, performed a hard reset and I am on the latest firmware.

Somehow it didn't work as I expected. While the everything was restored to the new card, I can't run the apps (there's a key symbol on them, I suspect that means they are locked), and it says I have no messages.

For example, Nokia Sleeping Screen. It downloads and the Ovi bar says "installing" then a smaller window appear in the lower section of the screen saying "preparing installation" then "Installing" then after a few seconds "installation Failed. Some apps for example Spotify installs perfectly, but here the bottom window don't appear at all. I have made a full reset, problem remains. I did a 3 finger reset, problem remains.

Everything appears normal except it does not ask me where I want to install the app. Instead it just stops the whole process and does nothing. I have plenty of memory. I did a Soft reset I believe going to settings>phone>phone management > factory settings... I used the code 12345. That did not solve the problem. I downloaded Joiku Hotspot, doesn't work, apparently because my 3G network connection profile is named wrong. I downloaded WhatsApp, again, doesn't work on 3G, only on Wi-Fi. Now, the latest problem is with Fmobi, which I paid for, and guess what happened. It doesn't work. The 3G connection arrows are full and on, so the connection is active. I just don't know what to do. Nokia store and web browser are connecting just fine as well as some apps such as "QuickBeer", "News", "NokiaGoal", "Maps and Drive". However other apps, which I like to check quite often, such as "Bloomberg" and "Allaboutsymbian" do not connect while mobile data is ON. (they do only in WiFi)
Regarding software settings:
WAP services is my default connection.
Allow mobile data usage: Home country
Admin settings --> Mobile data connection: when needed
High speed packet access: Enable.
So everything works just fine but the mentioned apps above.
And regarding phone and OS info: Nokia 700

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got optional update from my N8-00 and I dont know what happened but it seems that it corrupted my phone because it doesn't pass through the loading page luckily I was able to get a fix on that. But the main problem is I've been missing some of Nokia Apps including Maps, Ovi store, quick office and also the pre-downloaded games that came with Symbian belle. I believe those are Need for Speed, Golf and I forgot the other one. How can I have those apps back? I've been doing factory reset every now and then but still programs are missing. And also those missing programs have widgets on my homescreen and an error which is "Error occurred. Widgets removed" will pop up on my screen.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi'm continously getting a 'system error' message whenever i try to install some apps, such as nokia battery monitor, Internet downloader and fmobi. this occurence only began recently after updating to symbian anna. i've installed many other apps and can still install other apps but i seem to have a problem with a select few. i have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the apps and also done a delete and restore after backup but still no change.
