How do you force an app closed on the 5800? I thought there was a way to navigate to an Options->Exit menu item after pressing and holding the Menu key for a list of running apps, but I can't seem to find it any more. Is it just me or did this change in the latest firmware update?
View 4 RepliesI am posting this from my phone, so i hope it all sent ok.Anyway, i am working on hooking my phone up through my car's 3.5mm jack, and i have found the proper 2.5mm male to 3.5mm female adapter, but the trouble is, is that with my experiments so far (i havent bought the cable yet), when it detects that there is a cable plugged in, it tries to use the "headset" "mic" that doesnt exist. So i can hear what the people tell me, but i cant talk to them. So my question is, is when i have a "headset" plugged in, can i force my phone to use the phones microphone instead of the "headset" mic that is nonexistent?

I mean if i close the email app also the sync should be disabled right? but on my phone it still syncing even if email app is closed. This is annoing coz night i want to disable the email sync, i don't want to be waked by new emails sound.
i recently bought a nokia c5-03.. there was a software update to version 22.0.007, which i completed. i wanted to check the working of GPS so i clicked on the maps icon n it took me to my position. suddenly an error msg popped up stating "Memory full. Close some applications and try again" n the maps app got closed. but my phone memory has abt 33 mb of free space n memory card has 1.2 gb.

I use Apple's iSync to synchronize contacts & calendar with Address Book and i Cal on my Mac PowerBook G4 running OSX Leopard.This morning, I synced the phone and computer as I always do, but got an error message that "Device synchronization failed" without further explanation. When I tried syncing again, I got a warning message that "The phone could not store some of your calendar events. The following events will not be synchronized:..." Concurrently, the phone showed the error message "Application Closed: CalendarServerThread". After wards, the phone calendar just shows up as blank and won't respond to input (I can't change the date, although I can access the menu). The calendar works again once I delete all entries.
I've done a full reset of the phone, yet the problem is still happening. Can anyone help me?
All qt based apps which access internet like Nokia store and microsoft apps gets closed when i use dropdown notification bar.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem with 5530.. I go into settings --> personal --> Themes and then themes open and shows me options like General, Menu, Home Scr. Theme etc etc but then in 2 seconds the theme options automatically close in 1-2 seconds and i cant change anything and i am back in the previous menu.. Then i again select themes, I see the options for 1-2 seconds and then it goes back to the previous menu.

It doesn't happen often, but the camera will occasionally freeze for less than a second and then force the phone into a hard reboot, as if I had pulled the battery out. It seems to only happen when the flash is activated, but it's only happened twice so far, so I haven't been able to pick out a pattern just, yet.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm comparing to my 5530, On the contacts bar it nicely blends into the back ground, on the 5800 is a dirty oversized white block with the contact in the middle, no blending in or anything, same on the email, a horrible big white square, nothing blended in, I've tried different themes, and reflashed but no good.
View 4 Replies View RelatedBasically my problem is in the title, my phone is continuously pressing 'J' and I cannot stop it, even when the slide is closed and often when they keys are locked. I have NOT dropped the phone or anything like that, I go out of my way to keep it safe and this problem emerged on Thursday when I recieved a message asking if I wanted to auto update.
I said yes, it apparently had installed the update but then hours later this problem starts so I look online the next day and thought i'd try and manually update the firmware, which told me I did not have the latest firmware.. So I installed it, the problem remained. I look around and see that a lot of people have resolved issues with a hard reset, I have also tried this and it has not fixed my problem.
I just bought Nokia 5800 in America. I'm originally from the middle east and I need to write in Arabic when I chat or send messages. the problem here is that the phone reads Arabic but I can't write in Arabic. my question is "Could I use firmware of Nokia 5800 (RM-356) on Nokia 5800 (RM-428)?
If not, could anyone help me and get me the firmware that support writing in Arabic?
I had an Iphone 4 that more times got the apps "big" and than I can't close it down...now I`ve got an iPhone 5 and thought that there would be no more problems, but this one is doing the same.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my iphone 3gs to iOS4, all was fine i thought until i wanted to watch the french get knocked out the world cup using the itv world cup 2010 app i open the app, it then closes immediately! so i turn off phone, turned it back on then opened the app again, it attempts to open, then it closes after a couple of seconds
so i delete the app from the iphone, and also my itunes library. then i re-downloaded it.
synced my iphone and then checked the app again and it still WON'T open! so i tried my other apps and the only other one i can see that also closes upon opening is the BatteryDoctor Pro app which i paid for! is anyone else having this problem?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAbout an hour ago my phone started acting weird. Everytime I tried to use the keyboard it closed whatever I was doign down (I was trying to send a text, but it closed down google and anything else I tried to experiment using the keyboard with).
So I tried turning it off and on again. Then I took the battery out for a couple of minutes (and put it back in)I was just thinking about a system reset when it stopped turning on. I get a couple of flashing red lights sometimes. Occasionally it turns on, same keyboard problem, black screen within a minute.
I try and use the PC companion to update the software, but it connects, then tells me to pull the bar down from the top and click connect - there is no bar. It's just the charging screen. Turning the phone back on disconnects it.

View 6 Replies View Relatedeveryone noticed his after I installed the app called System which shows you running apps, disk procces, memory use and graphs it all out nicely.I noticed while having the System app open and double clickeing the home button to bring up the recently opened list, when I close them one by one I can see my free memory increasing.So does this mean that the apparently closed appe are still running and taking up memory space.I also noticed that in the procces window that maps is constantly running along with the phone process.
