I've been having a strange intermittant issue recently. It doesn't happen often, but the camera will occasionally freeze for less than a second and then force the phone into a hard reboot, as if I had pulled the battery out. It seems to only happen when the flash is activated, but it's only happened twice so far, so I haven't been able to pick out a pattern just, yet.

I started the "critical update" that popped up on my phone earlier today at about 12pm via the Desktop Manager (up to date).. Now it's almost 4pm and I've spent 3 and a half hours waiting for progress, scared to "disconnect the device or interrupt the process" for fear of my phone becoming "unstable" as the update window stated.I have included an image to prove the time frame (backed up device at 11:50, still waiting at 3:40.)There has been no change since the reboot stage began, about 20 minutes into the update, which was surprisingly quick.My phone has restored to factory settings, and I'm scared to do anymore than look at it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust noticed in the last two-three days that an app automatically loads when rebooted called Startup2. I see it when I press and hold the menu button along with the normal icons for web, email, phone, home etc. If I select the Startup2 icon then the BB hangs/freezes. It does not open any new screen. My only way of regaining control is to press and hold the menu button again. where it came from and how I can get rid of it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy bold is only a few months old, just recently it started saying "no data connection is avalaible" despite having the 3G full bars icon. BUT if I do a battery pull the internet works for a while (hour or two?). After it "goes out" I have to do a battery pull to get it working again... quite annoying.
Anyone know whats up?? Everything else on the phone works fine. I am using tzones on tmobile (have tried both epc & internet2 apns to see if that was the problem)
Upgraded last month to 4g. Unit started acting sluggish, went to shutdown, screen came up to power off but nothing responds. Screen locked up. Power button does nothing. How can I do a hard reboot?

As expected there were some bugs, so I read online on how to fix them after restarting my phone and doing a soft reset, it didn't work. I then had to do a factory reset- or a hard reset. It then threw my phone into a perpetual state of spinning cogs and a never-ending battle that is so close to lost I can feel the defeat seeping in like a plague. I've connected it to my computer to do the NSRT but my phone only sees it as a power source. I've taken the battery out, brought it to the Microsoft store, and I've even tried to hack into it via computer. However the same problem shows every time:

Camera taking forever to take a picture? There is about a 2 second delay on mine that I can't find out how to get rid of. Keep missing out on those moment pics that happen. The camera takes good pics, when I can find a still already.

So i can hear what the people tell me, but i cant talk to them. So my question is, is when i have a "headset" plugged in, can i force my phone to use the phones microphone instead of the "headset" mic that is nonexistent?

But now whenever i open the lens cover of the camera, it doesn't open the camera instead i've to press the lens cover hard down to activate my camera. Also there is a gap down highlighted with circle and the black lens cover is slightly coming in front of camera again highlighted by an arrow.

Now there is alot of problems with my Backflip. But the problem about my phone that irks me the most is that EVERY time I take a picture with my phone, it freezes and reboots. This is EVERYTIME!!! View 14 Replies View RelatedRecently I got this problem with my 1020's camera: when I use Lumia Camera, sometimes the app hangs after the first snap and won't respond unless I reboot my phone. Even if I close it through the task manager, the camera will be unusable upon restarting the app and the lens cover stays open until I reboot and successfully snap a picture afterwards.
I've already encountered it three times this week -_- I'm running PfD on latest OS, firmware version, and Lumia Camera app btw.
