Upgraded last month to 4g. Unit started acting sluggish, went to shutdown, screen came up to power off but nothing responds. Screen locked up. Power button does nothing. How can I do a hard reboot?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been having a problem where the email widget is not updating except when I reboot. the email is working and syncing but the widget itself is not showing the new mail. The gmail one is working fine. Also the calender widget does not change dates until reboot. If all else fails Reset I guess but I am trying to avoid that. I have a Canadian Xoom running Android 3.2 no Root.

I see it when I press and hold the menu button along with the normal icons for web, email, phone, home etc. If I select the Startup2 icon then the BB hangs/freezes. It does not open any new screen. My only way of regaining control is to press and hold the menu button again. where it came from and how I can get rid of it?

It doesn't happen often, but the camera will occasionally freeze for less than a second and then force the phone into a hard reboot, as if I had pulled the battery out. It seems to only happen when the flash is activated, but it's only happened twice so far, so I haven't been able to pick out a pattern just, yet.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy bold is only a few months old, just recently it started saying "no data connection is avalaible" despite having the 3G full bars icon. BUT if I do a battery pull the internet works for a while (hour or two?). After it "goes out" I have to do a battery pull to get it working again... quite annoying.
Anyone know whats up?? Everything else on the phone works fine. I am using tzones on tmobile (have tried both epc & internet2 apns to see if that was the problem)
Couple weeks ago I updated my phone to a windows 10 preview (I forgot the build number) and it installed fine. As expected there were some bugs, so I read online on how to fix them after restarting my phone and doing a soft reset, it didn't work. I then had to do a factory reset- or a hard reset. It then threw my phone into a perpetual state of spinning cogs and a never-ending battle that is so close to lost I can feel the defeat seeping in like a plague. I've connected it to my computer to do the NSRT but my phone only sees it as a power source. I've taken the battery out, brought it to the Microsoft store, and I've even tried to hack into it via computer. However the same problem shows every time:

I cannot do the typical hard reboot due to a broken lock button. I have tried plugging it into a power source with no luck. I have no way of turning it on/off and cannot currently use it.

The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? Would i be able to reset the tab to the original version?

Somewhat brighter blue for signal, Somehwat darker blue for no signal
it is impossible to tell if I have a zero bar signal or full bar signal (all in between are kind of visible)....
Ironically the indicator for not connected to Google services is very easy to read - but in most cases only lasts a few seconds...
Suggestion for the next patch: Turn up the level of blue for signal and go to grey for no signal to make the indicator visible.
I just recently tried to turn on my phone and it just wouldnt work. It turns on when I plug it into the wall, but only the motorola sign shows up. I tried doing the hard reset by holding down the power and camera, then plugging it in to turn it on, but it only shows the motorola logo, then the screen turns black, then it starts up again to show the motorola logo. Im thinking its either the battery or the software
