If I shoot some video, I cannot access that new footage until I have rebooted and if I try it stops any of the video being playable until a reboot occurs.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC one M7 and I was recording a video on my phone but when I clicked stop it said it was saving but then my phone froze and shut off. When I look in my gallery it shows the video is there but I can't play the video. Every time I click the video it says "Warning: media file type not supported". I've uploaded the video to my computer and it still won't play.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed Mediabox and the extended support CODECs for the N900. However, it will still not play most of my videos off my streaming media server (the programs can see the files ok).
When I try to play them, I have sound, and sometimes I can see a ghost image frozen on the screen, but no video. They can play some low resolution ones 320x240.
The videos I am trying to play that wont are :
512 x 384, bitrate 1154 kbps, 23 frames/second Divx avi
576 x 432, bitrate 1057 Kbs, 23 Frames/second Divx avi
640 x 480, bitrate 1066 kbs, 23 frames/second Divx avi
624 x 352, bitrate 1109 kbs, 23 frames/second Xvid avi
any ideas why these are not supported or where i could get CODECs that will support them, they play fine on windows media player and quicktime and on my Ps3 ?
My voicemail system sends me wav files and my N8 can't play them..from 1.0 though Anna through Belle.
Are there any other media player options like coreplayer or is there a way to report/request improved support for a particular encoding?
I recorded a 2 minute video with the BB without issues but when I tried to play it back, I received the message 'the media being played is of an unsupported format'.,The recorded video has a .3gp file extension, rather than an mp4, why? .3gp is not listed as a supported video file. the media card is a 32gb sdhc card I just formatted and saved music and pictures to without problems. What is happening here? Is the phone recording in a format that is cannot play? Can the video recording format be changed, say to mp4? I have no problems playing you tube videos etc., its only the recorded videos.
There is a demo video on the phone in mp4 and it plays fine. Will appreciate your advice. Anne
PS I just shot another 30sec video and the phone completely froze when I tried to play it. Took out battery to get it going again. Still receiving the same message

Recently bought a Xperia Z3+. How come when I record a 4K video and then try to play it back does it come up with the error message 'unable to find URL'
Do you need to use the Internet to view a video you have recorded yourself if it is in 4K if so how come?
And why is it not using my Internet because I have unlimited data but I am downloading something at the moment does this prevent the video getting the URL if it needs it.
i'm try to play direct from a website where are 3 players on winamp realplayer and windows media player but none of those are suported what do i need so i can play directly from the website the players are on [URL]
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having some problems with my phone which I think might be related to gstreamer.When I open the camera cover and the camera tries to launch I get the error message "Operation failed". Media player also does not work, I can see the media files but when I try playing them nothing happens.
I used gstreamer to capture images for an application that I created and it has always worked fine until recently, when I started noticing the problems with the camera and media player.Between the time everything was working and now, this is what I have done:
-installed OpenGL ES 2
-installed Qt
-copied a bunch of screenshots from the phone to my Mac (i think I just did it through bluetooth but I might have used the usb cable)
Here is what I have done to try to fix the problem:
-connect the phone via usb to a windows computer, rightclick the n900 icon and error check (as recommended on this forum)
-update the firmware using app manager
-reboot
-type dmesg in the terminal after opening the lens cover - that did not output any errors
Could this be related to anything other than the gstreamer? If it is the gstreamer, should I try reinstalling it?
I just received my N900 like a few hrs ago and I was testing the features but when I tried playing one of the songs on the phone a message popped up saying "unable to play media. Audio is in use by another application". I didn't have any other application opened at all I also tried to use the camera and the same message popped up, still no other application was opened.Another problem I noticed was when I receive a call even after pressing receive call the call still does not pick up...still rings on the other end but when I press end call it hangs up on the caller sending the call to voicemail. But making outgoing calls is no problem.I'm a nokia fan and loved all my past nokia phones last one was the N95 and still is working fine after 4yrs this is the first time I'm having such problems and am disappointed especially since the phone is new.

I searched the forums for the exact same issue and didn't come across a thread. If anyone has any ideas or possibly a link to the solution feel free to toss err in.

"the media 01 Chameleon being played is of an unsupported format". And it goes through the entire album saying the same thing for each song. The file type is WMA
My BB used to be able to play the .wav files that I received by email from my office phone system. I just ran the BB updates it wanted to and now when I attempt to play a .wav file, media player opens but then says - an error has occurred attempting to play media. The media being played is of an unsupported format.
I found posts saying I needed to install the BB attachment service but I can't get the option to show in Desktop Manager even following the instructions to download and run the OS on the PC.
the media player does not work on the bb browser. everytime i click on "watch video" or "stream video" on Internet or tinytube, nothing happens. i click, and the media does not show up at all.i have a bb curve 8330 os 4.5.0.186, it was working fine for 5 months, until acouple days ago.is there a solution to this prob? i have a data plan and i love watching Internet videos, and it suks now.

As of yesterday, whenever I open and use my music player and select shuffle and repeat all, the player will only play 2 songs, and then stop- not playing anoter song, and not shuffling to the next song. Furthermore, when I's listening to a song and press the menu button, I see on the menu list, that besides the shuffle and repeat options there is this "{2}" which I assume, means to play only 2 songs.
If anybody could advise me how to get the player back to it's old fab way of shuffling all songs and playing them throughout, rather than just 2 songs then stopping- i'd be eternally grateful

View 1 Replies View RelatedOI purchased my storm 9500 version 4.7.0.167 about a year ago. Platform 4.0.0.205. The videos played back really well until I received a video from my friends LG handset via bluetooth. I don't know if that was the actual cause but that is when the problem started. Everytime I make a video it will either refuse to play with a message saying "error occured while playing media" or the video will play without sound then the sound will follow. Playback of the videos is shaky and unstable. Only mms videos play well but even they are starting to act up. What could b the problem. I have tried rebooting 2 no avail.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy brother just got hold of a C6-00 that previously belong to his wife. The phone has been working fine and have all updates installed. It's not modified in any way and only uses official upgrades. But, after the latest update (SW 40.2.021, custom version 40.2.021.259.01 - 06-06-2011 - Brazil), something went wrong. This update was installed OTA on November 1st and since then, two strange problems started to happen:
1. When using the camera in video mode, the "Exit" and "Options" touch commands disappear from the screen. But, when using photo mode, those appear and I can change all camera settings. Right now, in video mode, the phone is locked to "Widescreen High Quality".
2. Inside the gallery, when we try to play recorded videos, we are always greeted with the following message: "Unable to play either sound or video clip. Trying to play partially." This happens with every video recorded by this very phone, in all quality settings (3GP, MP4 Wide and MP4 4:3).

I tried it on several videos one of which I uploaded from my phone and my wife could play it fine with her Thunderbolt and was quick to say it was because her phone was better than mine.
