Up till a few days ago I had no problems using You Tube. Now it won't work anymore.Everytime I try to watch a video on you tube, it says "loading." then I get a screen pop up saying "Error occurred while attemping to play media player"
View 4 RepliesI just bought a 9700 a week ago and am already having a small problem! As of yesterday, whenever I open and use my music player and select shuffle and repeat all, the player will only play 2 songs, and then stop- not playing anoter song, and not shuffling to the next song. Furthermore, when I's listening to a song and press the menu button, I see on the menu list, that besides the shuffle and repeat options there is this "{2}" which I assume, means to play only 2 songs.
If anybody could advise me how to get the player back to it's old fab way of shuffling all songs and playing them throughout, rather than just 2 songs then stopping- i'd be eternally grateful
i have the blackberry bold 9700 and whenever i try to access Internet with wifi on the m.Internet.com site, i keep getting "an error has occurred attempting to play media".

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BB used to be able to play the .wav files that I received by email from my office phone system. I just ran the BB updates it wanted to and now when I attempt to play a .wav file, media player opens but then says - an error has occurred attempting to play media. The media being played is of an unsupported format.
I found posts saying I needed to install the BB attachment service but I can't get the option to show in Desktop Manager even following the instructions to download and run the OS on the PC.
every once in a while i get error message: media player busy. i get this when i try to play a file stored on my media card.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have been having a blast exploring and customizing my 9700 over the past few days and last night installed a 16GB microsd and began the process of transferring some of my music to the device via the Blackberry Media Sync app on my pc. Transfer went just fine and all files show up on the card, however when I use the Media Player on the device and select by "Album" or "Artist" the tracks are listed alphabetically rather than by track number. It's not a huge deal except when I want to listen to a particular album in track order (The Wall is just made to played that way, isn't it? ). I have looked around for a menu option or something to list by track, but have had no luck. Does anyone here know how to do this? Also, if I connect to my pc via "Mass Storage Mode" and drill down to the album folder in question the track number shows up in the windows explorer folder and all my mp3 files are saved in a "Track Number" - "Songname".mp3 format.

I searched the forums for the exact same issue and didn't come across a thread. If anyone has any ideas or possibly a link to the solution feel free to toss err in.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry 9700 with BIS which I've just upgraded the software from OS5 to OS6, I'm having a problem opening and downloading any music and videos from the internet, I can browse through perfect but when I try to save it takes forever to download 1 percent and then says failed, I previously had this problem with the OS5 software as well, it used to work fine when I first got the phone but recently started failing to download so I upgraded to OS6 and the problem is still the same, there is nothing wrong with my memory card as I've tried with another memory card and the problem still continues.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure I am not the first - but some of my music albums aka CD's will not play on my BB Torch. Adele and James Brown play just fine, but when I try to play Herbie Handcock I get this message.
"the media 01 Chameleon being played is of an unsupported format". And it goes through the entire album saying the same thing for each song. The file type is WMA
I have installed Mediabox and the extended support CODECs for the N900. However, it will still not play most of my videos off my streaming media server (the programs can see the files ok).
When I try to play them, I have sound, and sometimes I can see a ghost image frozen on the screen, but no video. They can play some low resolution ones 320x240.
The videos I am trying to play that wont are :
512 x 384, bitrate 1154 kbps, 23 frames/second Divx avi
576 x 432, bitrate 1057 Kbs, 23 Frames/second Divx avi
640 x 480, bitrate 1066 kbs, 23 frames/second Divx avi
624 x 352, bitrate 1109 kbs, 23 frames/second Xvid avi
any ideas why these are not supported or where i could get CODECs that will support them, they play fine on windows media player and quicktime and on my Ps3 ?
the media player does not work on the bb browser. everytime i click on "watch video" or "stream video" on Internet or tinytube, nothing happens. i click, and the media does not show up at all.i have a bb curve 8330 os 4.5.0.186, it was working fine for 5 months, until acouple days ago.is there a solution to this prob? i have a data plan and i love watching Internet videos, and it suks now.

Hi, I'm new here and hope to validate my gloomy intuition.Got my new Bold 9700 yesterday, and several times a day since then, I get the annoying message "media card removed", followed immediately by another message telling me that a new media card has been installed, and my media files will be automatically updated. It seems to be a hardware issue, as I have replicated the problem by holding the phone with my index finger pressing lightly onto the area around the media card.It reminds me of the "death grip" issue that iPhone has, except this affects the media card instead of the antenna. Does anyone else have the same issue? Is it a media card problem, or a handset problem? Should I just exchange it for a new one (I just got it yesterday).

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 9330 (I think) that's about 3 weeks old. I downloaded two ringtones from Verizon and they played fine until yesterday. With no changes it now says "Invalid ringtone". When I attempt to play thru the music icon I get "An error has occurred attempting to play media." However, thru various maneuverings I can get the two songs to play but there's no way to restore them to ringtones. I've tried rebooting several times but nothing. I've searched just about every blog on this website and haven't found an answer. Interestingly, I can play UTube and just about any other media. Also, when I click "Options" in any app for info the only screen I get is to change wallpaper. Clicking "Options" from the home screen gives me the option to change ringtones, display, networks and connections, etc. but trying to change the ringtones results in the "Invalid ringtone" warning. I'm starting to hate this Blackberry!

Anyway, I have a 2gb card installed but under the settings and memory section it says no card found. is there a way of getting it to reconise the card as my phone says its only got 90MB of internal memorey left which wont do me as I use it as a mp3 player as well.

Proud and all, I just recently purchased a media card to start storing and listening to music.I am now unable to play any sort of media, sound or ringtone. The media card seems to not have anything to do with it. I also don't think it is file format, because videos that I can take with my phone are not able to be viewed.I have a BB 8520.

everytime i try to watch a video on Internet, the player tells me that an error has occurred attempting to play media. i have the blackberry option in my contract and my carrier says that it is not their fault that it is not working. Internet works just fine with wifi, but not on mobile network. my blackberry was unlocked from an at&t branding, but i don't think that's the problem, since everything else works just fine.
