i have the blackberry bold 9700 and whenever i try to access Internet with wifi on the m.Internet.com site, i keep getting "an error has occurred attempting to play media".
i have the version v5.0.0.442. does anyone know why this is happening/what's going on?
I am getting this error "An error has occurred attempting to play media" every time i play a you tube video on my phone using the wireless network. However I can play the same video in the WiFi Network without any issue.

Proud and all, I just recently purchased a media card to start storing and listening to music.I am now unable to play any sort of media, sound or ringtone. The media card seems to not have anything to do with it. I also don't think it is file format, because videos that I can take with my phone are not able to be viewed.I have a BB 8520.

everytime i try to watch a video on Internet, the player tells me that an error has occurred attempting to play media. i have the blackberry option in my contract and my carrier says that it is not their fault that it is not working. Internet works just fine with wifi, but not on mobile network. my blackberry was unlocked from an at&t branding, but i don't think that's the problem, since everything else works just fine.

I am running with the v7.1.0.523 and this error message has been since I had this phone with V7.0 OS. So doesn't mater which version or how many times I upgrade my OS, it stills showing "An error has occurred attempting to play media"xxxxx".
Every time I'm on my musical mood I have to pull the battery off? That really means that I have to pull the battery like 2 or 3 times per day just because I wanted to play some music? I'm pretty sure iPhones doesn't need a reboot every time they have to play a media, and it's so annoying to have to do so. How to play my music without getting this effin message?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 9330 (I think) that's about 3 weeks old. I downloaded two ringtones from Verizon and they played fine until yesterday. With no changes it now says "Invalid ringtone". When I attempt to play thru the music icon I get "An error has occurred attempting to play media." However, thru various maneuverings I can get the two songs to play but there's no way to restore them to ringtones. I've tried rebooting several times but nothing. I've searched just about every blog on this website and haven't found an answer. Interestingly, I can play UTube and just about any other media. Also, when I click "Options" in any app for info the only screen I get is to change wallpaper. Clicking "Options" from the home screen gives me the option to change ringtones, display, networks and connections, etc. but trying to change the ringtones results in the "Invalid ringtone" warning. I'm starting to hate this Blackberry!

As of yesterday, whenever I open and use my music player and select shuffle and repeat all, the player will only play 2 songs, and then stop- not playing anoter song, and not shuffling to the next song. Furthermore, when I's listening to a song and press the menu button, I see on the menu list, that besides the shuffle and repeat options there is this "{2}" which I assume, means to play only 2 songs.
If anybody could advise me how to get the player back to it's old fab way of shuffling all songs and playing them throughout, rather than just 2 songs then stopping- i'd be eternally grateful
I have a blackberry 9700 with BIS which I've just upgraded the software from OS5 to OS6, I'm having a problem opening and downloading any music and videos from the internet, I can browse through perfect but when I try to save it takes forever to download 1 percent and then says failed, I previously had this problem with the OS5 software as well, it used to work fine when I first got the phone but recently started failing to download so I upgraded to OS6 and the problem is still the same, there is nothing wrong with my memory card as I've tried with another memory card and the problem still continues.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHi, I'm new here and hope to validate my gloomy intuition.Got my new Bold 9700 yesterday, and several times a day since then, I get the annoying message "media card removed", followed immediately by another message telling me that a new media card has been installed, and my media files will be automatically updated. It seems to be a hardware issue, as I have replicated the problem by holding the phone with my index finger pressing lightly onto the area around the media card.It reminds me of the "death grip" issue that iPhone has, except this affects the media card instead of the antenna. Does anyone else have the same issue? Is it a media card problem, or a handset problem? Should I just exchange it for a new one (I just got it yesterday).

Anyway, I have a 2gb card installed but under the settings and memory section it says no card found. is there a way of getting it to reconise the card as my phone says its only got 90MB of internal memorey left which wont do me as I use it as a mp3 player as well.

Please check the information and try again. If the error persists, inform the subscriber to contact their email account provider." I've never encountered this problem until now. Have been using the blackberry for 2 years now. I've been re-setting my e-mail account off and on when I have problem receiving mails. But since deleting the e-mail from the web this afternoon, I can't seem to re-set it again. Please help. Maxis technical people have tried and there's nothing they could do. I can sign in to BB App World but when I select > My World I get the Error Message: "APP World Web Plugin Error - An Error has occurred communicating with the BB App World Client." I am connecting my 9900 in order to sync my apps with App World following a security wipe to resolve the BB ID Issue with OS7.( The security wipe does resolve the BB ID issue). I have the same problem when I have connected using 2 different PCs. One running Chrome the other Running Firefox.

When I try a soft reset, I get the red indicator light as usual, but instead of resetting, I get a message on my screen that says something along the lines of "Media card installed. All media will be copied onto the device." After this dialog box goes away, the device does NOT reset. Any ideas on why the soft reset no longer works?
