View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my 9650 yesterday. The saleswoman inserted my media card from my Tour (which had also been in my Curve 2). Everything seemed fine. This morning when I connected my Bold to the computer, I got a pop-up box on the BB which said, "Content rights do not match the device. Please insert the media card back to the right device."What's this all about? Nothing seems to be amiss with my media, although my pics do seem to be a bit slow to load when I try to view a whole folder.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have copied several windows media files to my blackberry but the phone says that they are unsupported. These are my video files. View 5 Replies View RelatedMy BB used to be able to play the .wav files that I received by email from my office phone system. I just ran the BB updates it wanted to and now when I attempt to play a .wav file, media player opens but then says - an error has occurred attempting to play media. The media being played is of an unsupported format.
I found posts saying I needed to install the BB attachment service but I can't get the option to show in Desktop Manager even following the instructions to download and run the OS on the PC.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently my blackberry bold has stopped playing media files or voice notes, the only media that still plays is the alarm tone and the ring tone!On start up it gives the error message 'Uncaught exception : A browser content provider for video/3gpp MIME type has already been registered with the browser'.Then when you try to open a media file, the screen goes white and it says 'Unable to play content.'So far I've tried re-registering the host route tables, battery pull etc and software updates and nothing has helped.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new C2-01. I know it is relatively basic in function but am sure that videos that are downloaded and installed to the device ought to work. I have looked into it as much as I can and it appears the Mpeg-4 or mp4 certainly should play on the device. I have managed to install an mp4 video and only get the audio of the video but no picture. How to get everything working - either which types of video format I need to use or whether a video player needs to be installed. I wish to use it on a monitor rather than the small phone screen via the av connection lead that nokia uses on many of its phones.

I've down a settings and factory restore and get the error message every time. While its download my phone will go to sleep and wont respond when hitting the home button. Do I need a new phone?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 9330 (I think) that's about 3 weeks old. I downloaded two ringtones from Verizon and they played fine until yesterday. With no changes it now says "Invalid ringtone". When I attempt to play thru the music icon I get "An error has occurred attempting to play media." However, thru various maneuverings I can get the two songs to play but there's no way to restore them to ringtones. I've tried rebooting several times but nothing. I've searched just about every blog on this website and haven't found an answer. Interestingly, I can play UTube and just about any other media. Also, when I click "Options" in any app for info the only screen I get is to change wallpaper. Clicking "Options" from the home screen gives me the option to change ringtones, display, networks and connections, etc. but trying to change the ringtones results in the "Invalid ringtone" warning. I'm starting to hate this Blackberry!

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo recently I got a new phone, my first phone! Proud and all, I just recently purchased a media card to start storing and listening to music.I am now unable to play any sort of media, sound or ringtone. The media card seems to not have anything to do with it. I also don't think it is file format, because videos that I can take with my phone are not able to be viewed.I have a BB 8520.
Edit: v5.0.0.900 (Bundle 1626, Platform 5.2.0.096
Carrier: Rogers
The phone is roughly a week old
everytime i try to watch a video on Internet, the player tells me that an error has occurred attempting to play media. i have the blackberry option in my contract and my carrier says that it is not their fault that it is not working. Internet works just fine with wifi, but not on mobile network. my blackberry was unlocked from an at&t branding, but i don't think that's the problem, since everything else works just fine.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using BB 8520 Curve with the default external memory (2 Gb). I have music files (*.mp3, *.wma) as well as picture files (captured through the device itself). What happens is, from time to time I am unable to access the media card content. If I go to music, I can see the entries if I go to any of the menu filters, All Songs/Artists/Albums/Genres .. etc. But when I click on the song itself, the music player opens with a message "This playlist contains no valid songs". Also, during this time, my device rings with the default tunes on a call, even if I have set custom profile ring tones.Similarly, if I go to Media->Pictures, I can see a thumbnail preview of the photos, however on trying to open a file it just presents me with a black screen. The contact picture or the desktop custom wallpaper, however is rendered as expected. If I reboot my device by taking off the battery, things get working again.I am experiencing this issue quite frequently, almost every day. I tried to find out a trend for the behaviour, however could not make any such consistent observations.Does anyone in the forum has faced similar issue? Any inputs would be highly appreciated. This is really being a disturbing trait with my otherwise so cool BB.

I'm sick and tired of have to pull by battery every time I want to go ahead and listen to some of my music on my Torch 9860. I am running with the v7.1.0.523 and this error message has been since I had this phone with V7.0 OS. So doesn't mater which version or how many times I upgrade my OS, it stills showing "An error has occurred attempting to play media"xxxxx".
Every time I'm on my musical mood I have to pull the battery off? That really means that I have to pull the battery like 2 or 3 times per day just because I wanted to play some music? I'm pretty sure iPhones doesn't need a reboot every time they have to play a media, and it's so annoying to have to do so. How to play my music without getting this effin message?
Every time I turn it on, my 9700 displays the message: "Uncaught exception: A browser content provider for video/3gpp MIME type has already been registered with the browser". and everytime i try playing any song or video or voice not , a blank white page appears , with the words " Unable to Play Media " on it .
