View 6 Replieseverytime i try to watch a video on Internet, the player tells me that an error has occurred attempting to play media. i have the blackberry option in my contract and my carrier says that it is not their fault that it is not working. Internet works just fine with wifi, but not on mobile network. my blackberry was unlocked from an at&t branding, but i don't think that's the problem, since everything else works just fine.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm sick and tired of have to pull by battery every time I want to go ahead and listen to some of my music on my Torch 9860. I am running with the v7.1.0.523 and this error message has been since I had this phone with V7.0 OS. So doesn't mater which version or how many times I upgrade my OS, it stills showing "An error has occurred attempting to play media"xxxxx".
Every time I'm on my musical mood I have to pull the battery off? That really means that I have to pull the battery like 2 or 3 times per day just because I wanted to play some music? I'm pretty sure iPhones doesn't need a reboot every time they have to play a media, and it's so annoying to have to do so. How to play my music without getting this effin message?
I have a Blackberry Curve 9330 (I think) that's about 3 weeks old. I downloaded two ringtones from Verizon and they played fine until yesterday. With no changes it now says "Invalid ringtone". When I attempt to play thru the music icon I get "An error has occurred attempting to play media." However, thru various maneuverings I can get the two songs to play but there's no way to restore them to ringtones. I've tried rebooting several times but nothing. I've searched just about every blog on this website and haven't found an answer. Interestingly, I can play UTube and just about any other media. Also, when I click "Options" in any app for info the only screen I get is to change wallpaper. Clicking "Options" from the home screen gives me the option to change ringtones, display, networks and connections, etc. but trying to change the ringtones results in the "Invalid ringtone" warning. I'm starting to hate this Blackberry!

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo recently I got a new phone, my first phone! Proud and all, I just recently purchased a media card to start storing and listening to music.I am now unable to play any sort of media, sound or ringtone. The media card seems to not have anything to do with it. I also don't think it is file format, because videos that I can take with my phone are not able to be viewed.I have a BB 8520.
Edit: v5.0.0.900 (Bundle 1626, Platform 5.2.0.096

It was working great until I connected it to the computer for first time and did the updates and backup suggested. I now get the message "Built in storage media is not accessible due to fatal errors". I also lost all the ringtones. Being a non-techie I did not connect the two. The next time I connected to the computer to backup etc and to download ringtones because mine were gone, all the wallpaper that comes with the device was gone. I have connected again to back up my blackberry andtried to restore to see if that helps, it does not. I did try to reformat my Built in storage media but it did not get rid of the error message and now I donot even see built in storage media coming up when I am in device options.
Blackberry Torch 9800 in use for 8 months I get the message `Built in media not accessible due to detected errors` and when selected repair, it deleted content from the external SD card. All podcasts, pics and video were removed, and half of the music. The camera will not work as it says there is no memory available. Telus said all updates were installed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had to take my battery out of my phone, which I've been having problems with my battery staying charged, but that's another problem.I now have this message on my phone saying: "A media card has been inserted that contains errors. Do you wish to repair the Media Card now?" I press "YES" to repair, then it says "If lost clusters are found do you want to save them?" I press "YES", then it says, "Media Card repair failed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a Transcend 16gb class 6 Micro SDHC yesterday. Everything went well until I put it in my Torch 9800and formatted it like it requested. Afterwards I received the media card fatal error. Here's where it getrs strange: I assumed the card had corrupted, but upon using the adapter to access it on the computer, it worked fine there. Tried reformatting from the comp, still works on the comp., but upon insertion in the phone, fatal error. I tried puting it in my old 8520, works like a charm, no issues. Tried reformatting using the 8520, still a fatal error when inserted into the Torch. My old card that I was using was a Transcend 8gb Class 6, Which still functions with no probs.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOut of no where, I noticed that my phone rebooted itself without me initiating a reboot. The progress bar makes it around 60% or so then the screen goes dark and starts the reboot process all over again. I might add, the phone was working fine all day today inside of my home with no water damaging environment
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have seen others fix their 9900 and I don't see why it should be any different with the 9850. Before anyone say's anything, I CAN'T get a replacement, this is NOT an option for me since the phone was a gift and I live in Dominican Republic, no Sprint here. Here's my story:So I got a Torch 9850 from Sprint as a gift from a friend. It suffered the nuked syndrome and I haven't been able to fix it. For the first few weeks I messed around with it trying all the steps I knew to get a nuked BlackBerry back alive. My PC does detect the BlackBerry, and so does AppLoader, but it keeps restarting and so AppLoader wouldn't successfully load the OS on it.A few days ago OS 7.1 was released for the 9850 and YES! AppLoader finally started the loading OS process...but it's not all happiness there either. When it gets to the second step "Wait for device initialization", right after the "Load JVM and system software" step, that's when the restarting starts again. When AppLoader is reconnecting to JVM, the phone enters a restarting loop and so an error shows saying "Unable to connect to device" and no matter how much I hit "Retry" it won't get past it. So this is where I need help, is there anyone out there that has been able to fix their 9850?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI received an e-mail to update one of my e-mail passwords. After going into "setup" , then "e-mail" the screen pops back to the main "setup" screen. When I attempt to exit the screen freezes and then I have to remove battery to reboot.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add some ringtones to my Torch. They are there and I can see them in the file manager or when I sync to my Mac. But when I go to the ringtones folder, they are not listed. There is an option to select music for a ringtone, so I put the mp3 file in the music folder along with other music files, but none show up.
The same thing happens when I take pictures with the phone. If I look at the pictures folder, it says no pictures. But if I go through file manager to the media card, I can see the pictures.
my phone is still stuck to the activation set up. i though all will be well once the upgrade is done. what happened is worse, non-functional iphone.
Info:
iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.1
