It was working but signal from etisalat carrier was not so I turn it off until the apple logo appear but it cannot reboot it. Then I restore and updated the phone with itunes but know this message appear " There is no SIM card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate." The Man who sold me this iPhone told that this phone is from America and I thought it would work here like any other phone but in this case it doesn't work at all.
Hey there, i've seen this question on here a few times, but no advice for my situation has been given.
Like many other's, my iPhone 3GS was working perfectly until i did the new software update. The sim card is installed, i have taken the sim card in and out, and done a phone re-set by holding power and home buttons until the apple symbol appeared. The problem persists. I am now travelling in Vietnam, so contacting my provider or an Apple store isn't an option. The phone is outside of its guarantee. I had the phone unlocked in China, if this makes a difference.
I have reset my phone to factory setting when I am activating i am getting the following error although I have my sim card loaded.,There is no sim card installed in the iphone you are trying to activate'.
after intalling IOS Ver 5.1 update on my iphone4s my phone can not find Sim card and show the message "no Sim card installed". I restored my phone from itune backup but still it can not find sim card.
Unlocked (by AT&T) iPhone 3GS continually displays "There is no SIM card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate." I've tried different SIM cards and have also put in inactive AT&T SIM cards but the result is the same. The phone itself has been confirmed by both Apple and AT&T as being unlocked or, rather, waiting to be activated to become unlocked. The same process allowed me to unlock my iPhone 4 with ease, if that is at all relevant.
I have a Blackberry Curve 9330 (I think) that's about 3 weeks old. I downloaded two ringtones from Verizon and they played fine until yesterday. With no changes it now says "Invalid ringtone". When I attempt to play thru the music icon I get "An error has occurred attempting to play media." However, thru various maneuverings I can get the two songs to play but there's no way to restore them to ringtones. I've tried rebooting several times but nothing. I've searched just about every blog on this website and haven't found an answer. Interestingly, I can play UTube and just about any other media. Also, when I click "Options" in any app for info the only screen I get is to change wallpaper. Clicking "Options" from the home screen gives me the option to change ringtones, display, networks and connections, etc. but trying to change the ringtones results in the "Invalid ringtone" warning. I'm starting to hate this Blackberry!
I am getting this error "An error has occurred attempting to play media" every time i play a you tube video on my phone using the wireless network. However I can play the same video in the WiFi Network without any issue.
So recently I got a new phone, my first phone! Proud and all, I just recently purchased a media card to start storing and listening to music.I am now unable to play any sort of media, sound or ringtone. The media card seems to not have anything to do with it. I also don't think it is file format, because videos that I can take with my phone are not able to be viewed.I have a BB 8520.
Edit: v5.0.0.900 (Bundle 1626, Platform 5.2.0.096 Carrier: Rogers The phone is roughly a week old
everytime i try to watch a video on Internet, the player tells me that an error has occurred attempting to play media. i have the blackberry option in my contract and my carrier says that it is not their fault that it is not working. Internet works just fine with wifi, but not on mobile network. my blackberry was unlocked from an at&t branding, but i don't think that's the problem, since everything else works just fine.
I paid $500 dollars for this phone 3 years ago. Two years ago, I cancelled my service with AT&T because they were too expensive. I've been using my iPhone 3Gs as my MP3 player for those two years - never with any problems. Tonight, I plugged my iPhone into iTunes for the first time in a long time, downloaded the new software update, and now am unable to "activate" my iPhone. I don't want to activate my iPhone. I want to use it as an iPod like I have been. I paid $500 dollars for this thing. I'm not signing up for another contract. How do I get my iPod back?!
I live in Spain and I bought an iPhone 4S in a Spanish Vodafone Store, along with a pay as you go sim. I have come back to England for a break and just bought a Vodafone pay as you go sim card to use when I'm in the UK so I don't get charged "roaming" fees. However, the phone says the sim is not valid and says I need to enter the sim card I got with the handset.
It doesn't seem to make sense to me as I haven't tried to insert a different network provider's sim card, and even now my Spanish sim card is using "Vodafone UK" network, so I know they are linked.
I have a used sim card that i need to use on my iphone 4. When i try to activate my phone, it wants my apple id i used to activate the orignial phone. I don't remember it though. How do you know what apple id you used.
i was given an iphone 4s with IOS 7.1.2 on it and there is no sim card and i don't have one and i was just wondering if i can still activate it without a sim card?
i have the blackberry bold 9700 and whenever i try to access Internet with wifi on the m.Internet.com site, i keep getting "an error has occurred attempting to play media".
i have the version v5.0.0.442. does anyone know why this is happening/what's going on?
I'm sick and tired of have to pull by battery every time I want to go ahead and listen to some of my music on my Torch 9860. I am running with the v7.1.0.523 and this error message has been since I had this phone with V7.0 OS. So doesn't mater which version or how many times I upgrade my OS, it stills showing "An error has occurred attempting to play media"xxxxx".
Every time I'm on my musical mood I have to pull the battery off? That really means that I have to pull the battery like 2 or 3 times per day just because I wanted to play some music? I'm pretty sure iPhones doesn't need a reboot every time they have to play a media, and it's so annoying to have to do so. How to play my music without getting this effin message?
I had two yahoo email accounts. I canceled one of them. Every time I try to delete the account from my Bravo, I get the "error occured, try again" message. I tried the "wifi hookup and restart" answer I fount on this site, but I still cannot get rid of the second email account.
I just put in my request to unlock my iPhone 4 from AT&T.My contract has expired, and my old phone number is no longer active as of about 2 weeks ago, I also no longer live in the US (I've already travelled abroad), but they said that it would have no problem to unlock my iPhone as it's all done via iTunes. I still have my old AT&T Sim card, but the number is not activate and like I said I'm in another country.
I have heard for the unlock process to be completed you need an activate sim card installed in the phone. Does it matter what carrier's sim I use (can I use a local one?) or does it absolutely have to be an AT&T sim? I'm in Dubai now and have an active prepaid du sim card (they said it can easily be cut to micro-sim).
Contacting AT&T from here is a nightmare (the "international" number they gave me won't dial out and the website won't let me access my old account info since it's closed now and thus can't access their web chat either).
