Feb 11, 2010Has a Storm and it just shut off on. When I pull the battery, the red light comes on for a few seconds and the screen and buttons light up. Then, it starts over. 20 minutes later and it's still in that same cycle.
It's rocking Verizon's official 5.0 and she doesn't do anything to modify or hack it. I've never encountered this before.
I'm wondering if the OS became corrupt, but we're @ Red Lobster and there's nothing I can do now.

Apr 6, 2011I am a Storm 9500 user for nearly 2 years. I can't rebbot properly my device even when I remove the battery and put it back. It starts rebooting but never stops (the screen remains white, with a small icon in the middle) What should I do ?

Nov 30, 2010I have a 9550 that if I drop the phone on my counter (like I do with every other cell phone I've owned), the slight bump will cause it to reboot. I've shored up the battery and I've checked the sim card, nothing seems out of place. What's causing this? The slightest jolt or bump will cause a reset. It's getting annoying because sometimes I'll bump it taking it out of my holster and I have to wait 5 minutes for the bloody thing to reset.

May 12, 2010My phone has been getting worse and worse by the day. First the i had horrible battery life when i was on phone calls, it would only last 30 min tops with a full battery. Then i was listening to the sirius radio app for about 15 min and my storm had a random reset. At first i said oh no problem it will be back up soon. So i waited and waited and when it finaly came back up i had a dead battery with 2% left. I was like wtf happened. I had about 80% when it reset and it came back with 2%. So then i did a battery pull to see if the phone just had a little problem with booting up. When it came back it had 22% battery but it only lasted about a min before it decided to reboot again. This time it wouldnt come back on. It was an endless reboot going again and again. The only way to stop it was to plug it in the wall and charge it up again. Last night it did the same thing when i was on the internet for only 5 min.
I tried all the different hybrids and nothing works. I dont know what to do now. Is it the battery or is it the phone?
BB Storm 9530/9500 :: Contacts Disappeared After Battery Pull And Reboot
Jan 8, 2010So all of the sudden my SMS messages are just coming up as phone numbers instead of contacts names, when yesterday they were displaying the names. I check to make the sure the numbers match under the contacts and they still do. I tried doing a battery pull and when the phone rebooted all of my contacts had disappeared. I checked the filters and none of them are checked, and as the other threads for this topic state, I tried to disable content control but I cant. I cant even find the general options section under security options. Is it different on the storm then it is on other BB's? Really confused right now. Also, there are no contacts saved to the SIM card.
PS. Running 5.0.0.328
BB Bold 9650 :: Start The Camera - Reboot
Jul 11, 2010So Verizon replaced my 3 week old 9650 because 9 out of 10 times that I went to launch the camera, the device would go into a soft reboot! Guess what - my 3-day old replacement 9650 is doing the same thing! And yes, I'm just using the new 2GB SD card that it came with.

It doesn't happen often, but the camera will occasionally freeze for less than a second and then force the phone into a hard reboot, as if I had pulled the battery out. Even if I close it through the task manager, the camera will be unusable upon restarting the app and the lens cover stays open until I reboot and successfully snap a picture afterwards.
I've already encountered it three times this week -_- I'm running PfD on latest OS, firmware version, and Lumia Camera app btw.

Theme's have no real effect from what I've noticed. Unless you have a really big gfx intense theme.

When enabling Device Memory encryption Memory Clean is automatically turned on and can't be disabled. So in my testing reboot time was between 6-7mins. My current config setup is that last test. Since Password is on, I see no need for Device Memory encryption to be on. Without the password you can't gain access to device files. ZonaSnap , QuickLaunch, Blink all preloaded during each test. 8 Email Accounts, about 80 read emails, and 100+ sms, 41 apps anyone that is getting 1-2min reboot please post your settings.

Apr 29, 2010I have had my phone since it came out and I love it though I'm upgrading to the bold 9650 come may. I plan on giving the phone to my girlfriend and in the last few days the camera has become inoperative. I've done battery pulls. Remove memory card. Nothing seems to fix it. It starts up and them it shuts off saying it cannot be opened.
