I was using my phone like any other time to take a picture and when I did, the screen came up with colors across it. My phone was never abused in any way. Why would it all of a sudden stop working. I haven't even had it for two months yet.

But when I turn it on, red light flashes for few seconds. It flashes for about 15 seconds then goes black. The four buttons on the bottom light up for few seconds.I tried Application Loader Wizard but there were no applications to be downloaded.But when I connect it to Blackberry Desktop Manager, the LCD comes back showing the signal of empty Battery. Replaced the battery but it is still working.

I am referring to the method of tapping the power button on the top left to add and remove the lock.The power button still works to turn the phone on etc, but just wont lock the screen. As you can imagine this makes life very difficult with a touch screen phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI spent an hour looking for a solution but all I can find is all sorts of recent complaints about this same exact problem with no working solution. This only happens with the rear camera. If I switch right away to front camera it works fine. The camera UI comes up with a black screen where what you are pointing at is expected to be seen. Also attempts to use the builtin flashlight toggle fails to keep the flash on for more than a second or two. Which is about the same time to error message when opening the camera. I don't use the camera much and so the last time I used it was prior to the update to (whatever of these numbers is the one indicating it: build LMY47D, soft ver LS991ZV5). Oh sprint LGLS991.
I have rebooted several times, force closed and cleared data and cache for the camera, and from most every place a factory reset was recommended but didn't correct the issue. So I have not done one and without a proper method to back up each apps data (without root, like it should have but doesn't, oh man am I still angry about that) this has to be a very very worst case scenario to do it.

The only way I got the front facing camera to work is totally by accident, I found a work around with Snapchat. It I open the main page of Snapchat, I get an error message about accessing the camera. If I scroll down within the app (to see Snapchat profile) the front facing camera comes to life and I can take front facing pics..
The camera on my HTC Excalibur has stopped working. It's not just the camera button, because the button still works as SYM. I get absolutely no response when I try to run Camera.exe as well.I am using 3VO.3.50.033010 ROM. However, I have tried a couple of earlier ROMs and had the same malfunction.

1. The app opens and displays the shutter.
2. The camera icon then goes from black to grey
3. The screen then goes black with the 3 icons at the top (Off, Options, & the camera reverse button) All of this happens without me touching the screen.
Sometimes the screen goes black and sometimes it goes grey. I can look at existing hotos and play existing videos but cannot do anything at all with the camera

Got the new one today and I have tried restoring the back up onto the new phone and I am getting the following error message 'The back up cannot be restored to abc iPhone because the software on the iPhone is too old. Apple haven't sent me an older version?
I've had my Nokia 5800 for a year now, and recently my camera has just stopped working. I press the camera button on the side and it doesn't load, and even going via menu>applications>camera doesn't work.
However, after pressing the camera button and going via the menu, the green circle shows that camera is open even though it isn't.Sometimes when i turn it off and on again, it will take on photo then stop working.Does anybody know what I can do?

I've tried taking the battery and sim card out, I've tried updating my phone (the guy at my location bell store told me to do, he's seen this a lot) but nothing is working. 1) I tried a hard reset and it worked for a couple of hours
2) I tried a soft reset and it worked for 1 day
3) I noticed that when I changed the date to the past and turned it off, the camera strated working for some hours.
4) I don't have a warranty, because I bought in USA and here, in Brazil, they don't accept the warranty. Even so, I took it to the assistence. They updated the software and, after 1 day, it stopped working. AGAIN!!! They said to me that if it crashes again, probably it would be a hardware problem, but they don't know how to fix it, since 1020 is new in Brazil.

A few days ago, my N5's camera stopped working and none of the usual solutions (reboot, clean data and cache of camera app, even complete wipe and change of ROM) did anything to fix the problem. So I went on ebay, and bought a replacement back camera, fitted it and all was well...for a day!!! It looks like after just one day (and nearly no use at all) the new camera has already stopped working.
