When I hit the power button on the phone to make it sleep, there seems to be a very small chance that the screen will shut off, then immediately(within a second) turn back on.It could be placebo but I think having music playing makes it happen more often.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the Droid Bionic approximately 2 weeks ago. I got one for my husband also. Recently, my phone has been randomly shutting off and the only way to turn it back on is to remove the battery. It has also happened when the phone is on and I am charging it. My husband's phone has not randomly shut off at any time. I have downloaded a few apps which include Accuweather, Go SMS pro and PicSpeed Wallpaper. I also inserted my micro SD card from my old phone into the new phone which I just removed to see if the phone will randomly shut down. I also do not have the pocket detector on.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I turn the screen off on My Bionic, it immediately comes right back on.Now, it doesn't happen every time and I can't repeat the problem on demand.Seems as though it has a mind of its own.I don't believe it is a bad app causing the problem either.The phone has been doing this on and off since I activated it yesterday.Not sure why it does this, but I wanted MOTO to be aware of this issue.I'm not sure if it is a hardware or software problem, but it didn't go away after a battery pull and reboot.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI plugged my 8330 in my computer to charge and it just shut off immediately.... now i cant get it to turn on... the red led comes on and then shuts off, the screen flashes white for a moment, then the led comes on again, and it repeats this cycle... it has turned on once since its been doing this and i tried to plug it into my computer to back it up, but it just shut off again and its been doing the cycle ever since. i already have a new phone i just need the numbers and stuff from my old one.... if anyone knows what might be happening please help me out.... i cant plug in the phone because when i do it shuts off.... im going to have to back it up using bluetooth. btw i can completely dissasemble the phone if necessary, its just a pile of junk right now anyway... all i want is my phone numbers from it so anyway u think i might be able to get it to turn, and yes... i have tried pulling the battery

Details: I have an HTC One M7 on Sprint. It’s not rooted. After the recent update to Android Lollipop, I cannot turn the WiFi off.
It’s not as black-and-white as it would first appear, the WiFi on/off feature will work for 2, 3, or 4 days after the phone is hard restarted.
During the initial 2, 3, 4 day period of time, (it’s inexact, I’m still experimenting) WiFi on/off works fine. After the 2, 3, 4 day period of time, the off won’t work. What I see in settings, the Wi-Fi On/Off button with the green triangle never goes to off. On the settings screen when you two-finger swipe-down, the square WiFi icon when clicked, the concentric power waves will turn off for a second or two, then come right back on. And the WiFi icon in the status bar constantly shows a connection when trying to turn off.

I have the extended battery and it seems the only way to get a new one is to buy another battery. My back door barely stays on. Also, are there any plans on marketing skins for the external battery? This would make the phone feel more solid and protect the bezel from scratches.

I think it is great that the phone can turn on Wifi when you are close to it, but it would be real nice if you could set it to turn on only when near certain Wifi Networks, or even turn if off for that matter.
Short of waiting for the Auto Wifi menu to eventually pop up and ask how you want to use it, does anyone know where to actually go in the settings to do it when you want to and not when ICS decides to give you the pop up?
It is real frustrating since it does NOT shut itself off when you leave a Wifi Zone and there is no apparent way to set it to turn on only when near your Wifi zones which makes this feature more of an annoyance then a feature.
I've heard that others have this issue too. I don't have the headphone wine, so I hate to bring this thing back if I don't need to. will it come in an update? Or, do I NEED to swap this handset out for a replacement while I am in the initial 14-day purchase window? Haven't seen anyone address those questions head on yet.

(Any sane person would asume this would disingauge the visable lock screen. Not so batman.... View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with a wallpaper saved from the gallery. Most of the times it will stick, but about 20% of the time the default red circuit board wallpaper will return. Phone is still functional and if I put it to sleep then reawake, most of the times my gallery wallpaper will return. Really odd. Happens sometimes right after I save a new wallpaper or sometimes later that day after multiple "wake ups".
I was thinking of locating the default wallpapers and placing my pics in there, but if I pick one of the other stock wallpapers, it has done it there, too. Right back to the default circuit board.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI think I will need to bring this to an Apple store for investigations, but would anyone have any hints to what might be causing this issue? For about two days, when I shut down the phone, it immediately starts itself up. Ironically when its plugged into my MBP using the USB cable and I shut it down then, it will remain powered off. The minute I remove the USB cable phone starts up. I performed a full restore, including DFU mode and nothing. Secondly, the battery is draining at an incredible pace. i.e I charge it at night to 100%, than by morning (7 to 8 hours later), its at 70%. I have maybe 3 or 4 notifications running with Bluetooth off. I can't imagine this being a sudden issue especially where in the past the phone can be in standby for days.
To put it shortly, is it a deffective connector or battery? Either way I am in Warranty mode till Oct 2012, so hopefully can get a replacement if faulty hardware.

Was on my Facebook app checking a Notification when suddenly the buttons to return to home screen, back and move between currently running apps stopped working. It is not unusual sometimes the touch screens don't respond and the easiest fix would be to press the power button to go to the lock screen and come back. When I tried turning on the phone to unlock it, it never turned back on.

I have been having issues with my screen locking up after the screen times out and shuts off or when I turn the screen off. This dosent happen every time but at least once or twice a day. The power button will turn screen on and off but the screen is totally unresponsive to my inputs. I have tried factory resting it to no avail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have had my AT&T G4 since last June and it's worked perfectly fine. Suddenly tonight as I was just watching YouTube my phone froze and shut down. I tried taking out the battery and it won't turn back on at all. The LG screen shows up and then it loops a bit before going dark and the power button won't work. Not until I replace the battery again. And the cycle begins anew. Sometimes the white AT&T screen shows, but still nothing. Once I got it to a screen that was optimizing apps I think. But that quickly failed.
I haven't factory reset yet because I do not want to loose my information and I don't know if I even have a back up. I don't know what to do and I can't be without my phone.
