The screen turns off when making a phone call. it wasn't doing that before and i have not changed anything. I did what you suggested (turning off the auto adjust screen tone), but that made no difference and still doing that.

I just received my replacement phone and the screen doesn't turn off during a call.
Is there a fix that I could do or do I have a defective phone?
Doing a wipe cache partition fixes it for a little bit and maybe an hour later, it's broken again.
I've also tried doing a factory reset with no success.
When making a call the S6 makes a connection tone and a disconnection tone at the end of the call. You could turn this off on the S5 I cannot find where to turn it off on the S6.

I mean the call is still in progress you can hear it but you can't see anything on the screen. View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I make a call as soon as I press to dial the screen goes black and I can't reactivate it unless the person in the other end hangs up, so if it goes to voice mail I have to restart my device, if the person hangs up I have to double tap the power button to wake it up but that activates the camera, that's the only way I'm able to do it.
Fully stock and up to date firmware
My wife's D3 locks immediately after starting a call. She has to hit the power/sleep button to wake it up to end the call. Anyone know how to stop this? She says she has not changed any settings and my D3 has never done this. Don't see any new apps installed and the phone has been rebooted.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo, here is the deal. I canceled my AT&T contract and went out a purchased HTC One developers edition (64g). Dialing out and getting calls, have no issue. Load up Google Voice app. Now when I make a call the screen goes black right away.
Steps to reproduce:
* Unlock phone (just screen not dropping new image on phone or anything)
* Start HTC one phone app (after loading google app on phone first).
** After installing google voice, tell it that you should use it for all outgoing calls.
* Go to history (I see it the most here)
* select phone number in list
How do I get the screen to turn back on when I am making a call? I dont know how this happened. I didnt drop my phone or anything and now when making a call the screen turns off. I tapped the screeen and tilted the phone and it still didnt turn on. I am unable to put call on speakerphone or select any other options.
View 4 Replies View RelatedE6 #1 (made in Finland): had to bring it to repair service because of pathetic battery lifetime and no notification light.Got a new one 2 weeks later:6 #2 (made in Hungary): had to bring it to repair service, as the screen blanked out when making or receiving a call (proximity sensor broken?). Notification light issue unchanged, Couldn't test battery as it went back to repair after one day only.Got a new one 2 weeks later (i.e. today): #3 (made in China):first of all I upgraded to OS V22. Needless to say notification light didn't change. Besides:- battery cover wobbly, a fraction of a millimeter too short. Chinese quality issue?- bluetooth doesn't work properly. A connected and authorized headset (that worked well on the previous 2 E6s, an X7, an E72, a Blackberry etc.) doesn't connect when being turned on. Have to connect manually when wanting to make call.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my Motorola photon 4g since I bought it (2 months old now). It may reboots when I am trying to make a phone call. It happens everyday randomly and it is getting worse. If one day I need to make an emergency, I may need to wait a few minutes for it to boot up (lol) before I can use it. I have used Palm treo phone for many year and never have any problem. I went to sprint service center and the sprint technician reset it but it still has the same problem. I will come back to Sprint again for service. FYI, I will update this post soon I have more info.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia z3 is currently saying "turn your phone off flight mode" before making a call, I don't have a network signal. The wifi is still working (that's how I'm writing this) so the phone isn't actually on flight mode. I've tried rebooting and resetting, turning flight mode on and off loads of times, and nothing.
This has started happening when the phone is switched off, last week it died during the night and this happened, and it just randomly came back on the next night. I switched it off this morning and I've not been able to get it on since.
Both mine and my wife's 6p's are not able to access the internet while a call is in progress. My phone is unlocked & rooted, however my wife's is complete stock so I know that can't be the issue. I've also tried disabling the "enhanced" calling with LTE under cellular networks on both devices and this doesn't fix the issue, either.
After going into my Verizon online and adding the Advanced calling 1.0 feature to my line, then rebooting my phone, and waiting a few minutes, things automatically started working.
Yesterday I downloaded a new app from the play store, and after about 10 minutes of messing around with the app, it locked up my S6. So i tried to kill the app, no luck. Did a soft reset, vibrated and powered down. Upon reboot, the screen flickered the "powered by android" splash screen and went through its normal boot with the screen black. Tried to get the screen to turn on, but now it only flickers with a green vertical line, and then turn the screen turns right back off... Everything seems to be fine on the phone, ie, i can take pictures(auto upload to dropbox), screen shots, and even answer any incoming calls. But the screen wont turn on. Waiting for the battery to drain to see what will happen, when its dead and i try to plug it in.

The bar at the top of the screen is green and my call is still active, but dragging down the screen shows no menu to hang up, mute, or speaker like it did in the past. Also I hit the recent programs button and there's no window for my call. I hit the phone button and there's nothing. The call will still show up in the log once we hang up. I literally cannot hang up without shutting off my phone. I can't mute my microphone or toggle speakerphone.
