i just got atrix 2 , im try to turn off the internet .i notice it if u on wifi spot it turn off the internet and use the wifi.but if u are not on wifispot the internet turn on. a

Is it possible to turn off LTE and just use regular 4g? I like the speed of LTE but the battery life is so bad that I would like to be able to turn it off so that I can make it through a day on battery power.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my Atrix since launch and it's been doing great, however just starting last night when I plugged it into both the wall, and then to the computer, it won't charge. It "sees" that the cable is plugged in because it lights up the screen, but it seems like the charging / usb port is dead for some reason. The battery is now totally dead and I have it plugged in, and all I get is a green light in the upper right hand corner, no display on the screen. I took out the battery and reseated it, no joy there.

After several failed attempts I noticed that the Bluetooth on the Atrix would not restart either from the Widget or settings menu. Turning the phone on and off repeatedly still would not get the Bluetooth to turn back on. Previous to this attempt at pairing with my PC the Bluetooth on my Atrix has been working just fine in my car.
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy phone was charged at 100% and was on the charger when this happened. Basically the phone froze for about 5-10 seconds and then the screen went black. I haven't been able to get it to turn back on. I've tried the hard restart (power and volumn buttons held down together) and I've tried connecting it to my computer but nothing works. Is there anything else I should try? Or do I need to just take it back to the AT&T store? I've only had the phone for a week and a half, so it's still within their 30 day thing.

View 15 Replies View Relatedmy ATRIX 4G toggles from UMTS to HSPA and back all the time. i see that on the mobile network type under settings--> about phone--> status.
After each of these toggles the mobile network state (same status menu) is connecting (and then connected until next toggle)
i suspect this phenomena to be the reason that my internet connection is unstable (disconnected very often). I'm using original ROM w. MotoBlur of course. any way i could just disable the HSPA and check if the UMTS is enought ?
Is there an APP or setting to keep a hotel internet connection open? I find that as soon as the phone sleeps, the connection is lost and I have to resubmit the connection policy that is usually associated with connecting to a hotel internet connection.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter a weekend of operation I tried to turn WiFi on only to have it turn itself off after 15-30 sec. It happened 3 times before I powered down and back up, that fixed the problem. It may be a memory leak as the phone had been on for 3 days, or maybe it was related to the fact that it had gotten to a low battery state over the weekend and it turned off some services to save battery and didn't turn them back on after it was charged. I have very few apps loaded and dont think thats the problem, but I did use Googles navigator this weekend for the first time since I updated to GB.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I am no longer able to turn on Bluetooth on on my Atrix. When I turn it on, it looks like it is turning on but then the widget and/or settings panel check box go back to the off state.
I've tried rebooting but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I've seen other posts which recommend a factory reset but I would prefer to not do this as I only factory reset my phone about a week ago.
I loved how my old iPhone made it easy to click on phone numbers, email addresses, and links in emails, texts, web pages, etc. especially when I wanted to click on an address to show it on the map. My Atrix has never done that. Until recently I thought it was just something I had to put up with.
However, I got so frustrated I finally went looking for an answer. Now it seems that my Atrix is supposed to work the same way, so I'm wondering what the problem is with mine. It gets phone numbers and email addresses in emails, but doesn't recognize addresses.
Is there a setting I'm missing, or do I have a problem? I'm using the Gmail app for email.

This is getting very frustring to have it vibrate and it's not even discreet (it sounds like a loud buzzing noise on the other end). The person on the other line keeps asking what's that buzzing sound?This ISN'T a feature, in fact it's annoying to people I talk to on the phone and frustrating that I have to tell the other person everytime it's the phone vibrating. It does not make any difference in my life if it vibrates when I press the home, menu, return or search buttons.
