Sep 3, 2011I recently shutdown my facebook account. I cannot seem to be able to remove from my Atrix tho. Also, if I try to delete a contact that was imported though facebook, I get a message that says "cannot delete files from read only accounts" Is there any way to get rid of facebook and all of the facebook contacts on my Atrix? Or, do I have to reset my phone to factory?

Sep 13, 2012I've noticed that facebook got rolled into the pre-installed apps list. Which I'm only guessing is necessary because My Music and My Photos are so heavily integrated with it... But what about the users who really don't want/use these features?I have all of the sharing features turned off...because I don't have a social networking account synced to my phone. However, I notice that the facebook app is always running, and consumes anywhere from 40 to 80 mb's of ram.

Sep 25, 2011I have spent 2 days trying to sort this and Im beginning to think about sending the phone back. I have the Atrix and when I first opened it up I set up my Motoblur account. I also set up my facebook account to and then waited for all my contacts to be imported....but nothing! No contacts on the phone. However I keep getting "New Link Post" in the happenings box coming up from people on facebook, but there is only their names, no profile pics to show which would suggest its doing something.

The updates seem to be fine, though the contact's pictures do not come up. I deleted group messages from my Facebook homepage (not all of them, just the visible ones on the front page) and I also checked my IMEI, but still nothing.

Sep 6, 2011In the Facebook, The status updates come through when using the actualy facebook app, mobile site and regular website. Has Motorola done something to the Motoblur widget that would be preventing these from coming through? Setting the widget to show updates from only that contact/friend doesn't even allow them to come through.

When I got home I added my Facebook account and the app sync'ed my facebook friends to my contacts. Oct 11, 2011I recently got my Atrix from Orange. I've had it less than a month and now I'm having problems with my keypad. It only seems to happen when I'm texting or onf faebook. I can't see what im writing unless i back out of the text so I can only see where the text is entered. It also lags whilst I'm writing or takes itself out off the message entering screen periodically. It has only just started happening but it's very infuriating. I don't have a screen protector on and it works fine on google, browser and emailing.

Jan 31, 2012I recently rebooted to factory settings my Motorola Atrix (UK) - Android 2.3.4.Before resetting it, Motoblur was correctly retriving Twitter and Facebook messages. I was able to update both services status and leave comments on friends' status and messages.Following the factory reset, Motoblur can only post my status updates, it doesn't retrieve twitters from whose I'm following and Faceebook friends updates.Motoblur application is fully enabled in Facebook settings page.

Jul 25, 2011I've had my Atrix since launch and it's been doing great, however just starting last night when I plugged it into both the wall, and then to the computer, it won't charge. It "sees" that the cable is plugged in because it lights up the screen, but it seems like the charging / usb port is dead for some reason. The battery is now totally dead and I have it plugged in, and all I get is a green light in the upper right hand corner, no display on the screen. I took out the battery and reseated it, no joy there.

After several failed attempts I noticed that the Bluetooth on the Atrix would not restart either from the Widget or settings menu. Aug 30, 2012My phone was charged at 100% and was on the charger when this happened. Basically the phone froze for about 5-10 seconds and then the screen went black. I haven't been able to get it to turn back on. I've tried the hard restart (power and volumn buttons held down together) and I've tried connecting it to my computer but nothing works. Is there anything else I should try? Or do I need to just take it back to the AT&T store? I've only had the phone for a week and a half, so it's still within their 30 day thing.

Sep 19, 2011After a weekend of operation I tried to turn WiFi on only to have it turn itself off after 15-30 sec. It happened 3 times before I powered down and back up, that fixed the problem. It may be a memory leak as the phone had been on for 3 days, or maybe it was related to the fact that it had gotten to a low battery state over the weekend and it turned off some services to save battery and didn't turn them back on after it was charged. I have very few apps loaded and dont think thats the problem, but I did use Googles navigator this weekend for the first time since I updated to GB.
