In the Facebook, The status updates come through when using the actualy facebook app, mobile site and regular website. Has Motorola done something to the Motoblur widget that would be preventing these from coming through? Setting the widget to show updates from only that contact/friend doesn't even allow them to come through.
View 2 RepliesI removed my Facebook account from my Motoblur account listing and tried to add it under other accounts but it does not show up at all and thus no contacts get sync'd or anything though I can still use the facebook app. Do I have to login to facebook under motoblur accounts in order to get the contact syncing?

Also, if I try to delete a contact that was imported though facebook, I get a message that says "cannot delete files from read only accounts" Is there any way to get rid of facebook and all of the facebook contacts on my Atrix? Or, do I have to reset my phone to factory?

Which I'm only guessing is necessary because My Music and My Photos are so heavily integrated with it... But what about the users who really don't want/use these features?I have all of the sharing features turned off...because I don't have a social networking account synced to my phone. However, I notice that the facebook app is always running, and consumes anywhere from 40 to 80 mb's of ram.

I also set up my facebook account to and then waited for all my contacts to be imported....but nothing! No contacts on the phone. However I keep getting "New Link Post" in the happenings box coming up from people on facebook, but there is only their names, no profile pics to show which would suggest its doing something.

Facebook messages do not load through Atrix's Motoblur's messaging widget. The updates seem to be fine, though the contact's pictures do not come up. I deleted group messages from my Facebook homepage (not all of them, just the visible ones on the front page) and I also checked my IMEI, but still nothing.

That is not the case with my Droid 3.
1) I've added a Facebook Account
2) There was no pre-installed facebook app so I downloaded and installed the Facebook App from the Market.
No pictures in my contacts although my facebook contacts did appear (in text form). I did wait a day to see if they'd come down. Next, I removed the app and the account. This time around I switched the order...
1) I installed the Facebook app from the market
2) I went to add and account. There was a small facebook icon and a large one. The large one looked "new" so I tapped it. The screen when blank for a second and then back to the account icons.
3) I chose the smaller facebook icon and was prompted for my login.
Facebook is listed as an account, but still no pictures in my contacts.
This is what happened and I've been having troubles with my phone ever since.I was with my friend and I got really tired of my phone being so slow so I wiped it and cleared everything pretty much.I forgot my moto account name and password so I made a new Gmail and a new Moto account name.Now my facebook Contact pictures will not show up at all and I've called family mobile at walmart to see
View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with some of my albums artwork not showing up on my Atrix's stock music player. I've put the same music files on several other phones with no issues. The music player is working fine, just not showing the album artwork for SOME of the albums (not all of them, though), I've tried deleting the files & re-syncing; I've tried using Motorala's own file transfer software for my computer with no luck. Anybody else had the same problem? If so, is there anything I can do to fix it, or would it be best to download & use a third party music player, which I have concidered?
View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since the ICS update, my gallery likes to not show the pictures that are on my phone. They were visible pre-ICS, but are now not. If I use a file manager I can see that they are still on my phone and even view them, but they refuse to pop up in my gallery. I have tried the unmounting and mounting of my SD card as I have seen people wiht similar problems do, but have had no success.
Is there a new folder that the pictures need to be moved to to be seen by the gallery app? I'm guessing no because they did occassionally show up after the update, but now won't at all. Still, worth asking.
I've had my Atrix for probably about a month and a half now. When I first got it, Google images showed up just fine. I noticed yesterday though that when doing a search, they show up fine until you click on one to look at bigger, and it's blurry. On top of that, half the time it shows part of the picture to the left or right of it as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased my Atrix phone yesterday. I am a complete newbie. At the store, the sales person moved my phone contacts from my old phone to the Atrix. When I got home I added my Facebook account and the app sync'ed my facebook friends to my contacts. Now I don't see any of the original contacts that were transfered when I purchased the phone.Is this a bug with the Facebook app, have the numbers been deleted or is there a setting that will display them?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently got my Atrix from Orange. I've had it less than a month and now I'm having problems with my keypad. It only seems to happen when I'm texting or onf faebook. I can't see what im writing unless i back out of the text so I can only see where the text is entered. It also lags whilst I'm writing or takes itself out off the message entering screen periodically. It has only just started happening but it's very infuriating. I don't have a screen protector on and it works fine on google, browser and emailing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently rebooted to factory settings my Motorola Atrix (UK) - Android 2.3.4.Before resetting it, Motoblur was correctly retriving Twitter and Facebook messages. I was able to update both services status and leave comments on friends' status and messages.Following the factory reset, Motoblur can only post my status updates, it doesn't retrieve twitters from whose I'm following and Faceebook friends updates.Motoblur application is fully enabled in Facebook settings page.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Atrix generation 1 the day it came out and haven't had this problem so this is throwing me off.What I need fixed:
1. When my phone is connected to the computer via USB, it charges but the computer doesn't recognize anything is connected (tried all 3 USB ports). If the computer doesn't recognize it or something is wrong with the cable/ports - it shouldn't charge, right?
2. On my phones status bar - the USB connection options wont show up. I've tried the USB debugging on/off method but I get nothing. The only time anything connection related shows up on my status bar is when I'm connected via Motorola Portal via wifi. Can't transfer music etc with portal though.What I have:
1. I use windows 7 on my laptop.
2. I already tried the factory reset.
3. I have the latest updates on my phone.
4. I already sent it to motorola and just got it back as a clean slate.
When I go to the market (either on pc or directly from my atrix), many apps are being listed as not compatible. For example, the new revision to Facebook, Skype, etc. It's not all apps, but many. I am able to go over to Amazon and install the same apps and versions, but I can't do it from the Market. I get the following message on the left hand side of the window.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Atrix on AT&T. I've called technical support multiple times but still have the issue. In my apartment, my phone shows full bars but when I dial a call out, the phone will hang up right away. Other times it will hang itself up and error "call failed".
I've been to the corporate store where they have given me a new SIM card, but it still does not fix my issue. I am trying to figure out if this is a hardware or network issue so I can contact the right people to have the issue fixed.
If my phone is showing full bars that means I have network coverage.
one change i noticed on the gingerbread was that i now have limited ability to edit contacts. here's the situation:
I got a new number of a person who was already a facebook contact (because of motoblur syncing my facebook to my contacts). But i go to the contact and select edit so i can add the phone number and the phone says "facebook contact information is not editable on this device." i really dont know what to do.
When attempting to update the account credentials in vlingo for Facebook, I'm told the user information could not be fetched and to try again later. I've tried on many occasions and haven't been able to resolve the issue. Any suggestions on how to get vlingo to authenticate against Facebook?
