Jun 21, 2011Is there a way to link Facebook with Motoblur but Not sync contacts? On my Samsung Captivate you could turn off Facebook Sync.

Jul 25, 2011I just purchased my Atrix phone yesterday. I am a complete newbie. At the store, the sales person moved my phone contacts from my old phone to the Atrix. When I got home I added my Facebook account and the app sync'ed my facebook friends to my contacts. Now I don't see any of the original contacts that were transfered when I purchased the phone.Is this a bug with the Facebook app, have the numbers been deleted or is there a setting that will display them?

May 19, 2015I know this is probably a stupid question and I am overlooking something but I am trying to turn my facebook interval sync to "never". I can't seem to find this within app settings or anywhere in the app. Is this no longer available with Lollipop and do I just need to uncheck all of the notification boxes? I did that but I still see my facebook app with notifications that someone has commented, liked or done something else without me opening the app.

Also, if I try to delete a contact that was imported though facebook, I get a message that says "cannot delete files from read only accounts" Is there any way to get rid of facebook and all of the facebook contacts on my Atrix? Sep 13, 2012I've noticed that facebook got rolled into the pre-installed apps list. Which I'm only guessing is necessary because My Music and My Photos are so heavily integrated with it... But what about the users who really don't want/use these features?I have all of the sharing features turned off...because I don't have a social networking account synced to my phone. However, I notice that the facebook app is always running, and consumes anywhere from 40 to 80 mb's of ram.

I also set up my facebook account to and then waited for all my contacts to be imported....but nothing! No contacts on the phone. However I keep getting "New Link Post" in the happenings box coming up from people on facebook, but there is only their names, no profile pics to show which would suggest its doing something.

The updates seem to be fine, though the contact's pictures do not come up. I deleted group messages from my Facebook homepage (not all of them, just the visible ones on the front page) and I also checked my IMEI, but still nothing.

Has Motorola done something to the Motoblur widget that would be preventing these from coming through? Setting the widget to show updates from only that contact/friend doesn't even allow them to come through.

Oct 11, 2011I recently got my Atrix from Orange. I've had it less than a month and now I'm having problems with my keypad. It only seems to happen when I'm texting or onf faebook. I can't see what im writing unless i back out of the text so I can only see where the text is entered. It also lags whilst I'm writing or takes itself out off the message entering screen periodically. It has only just started happening but it's very infuriating. I don't have a screen protector on and it works fine on google, browser and emailing.

Jan 31, 2012I recently rebooted to factory settings my Motorola Atrix (UK) - Android 2.3.4.Before resetting it, Motoblur was correctly retriving Twitter and Facebook messages. I was able to update both services status and leave comments on friends' status and messages.Following the factory reset, Motoblur can only post my status updates, it doesn't retrieve twitters from whose I'm following and Faceebook friends updates.Motoblur application is fully enabled in Facebook settings page.

I got a new number of a person who was already a facebook contact (because of motoblur syncing my facebook to my contacts). Jun 6, 2011im running 2.2 froyo on my defy "outside the states so its not motoblur" and i cant seem to be able to sink facebook in my accounts,its there but everytime i click it or hold a press on it,nothing happens, all other accounts are sync'd and working properly but the facebook,although the facebook widget and app are working normally,i just cant seem to sync the contacts and calender and all the good stuff i'd expect from a facebook app and everyone gets. if anyone faced this same issue please let me know. i thought maybe coz my facebook is already sync'd with my other device which is a blackberry, but that still doesnt make sense for it just not to respond completely whenever i click on it in the accounts menu!!!

Jul 25, 2011I've had my Atrix since launch and it's been doing great, however just starting last night when I plugged it into both the wall, and then to the computer, it won't charge. It "sees" that the cable is plugged in because it lights up the screen, but it seems like the charging / usb port is dead for some reason. The battery is now totally dead and I have it plugged in, and all I get is a green light in the upper right hand corner, no display on the screen. I took out the battery and reseated it, no joy there.

Jun 18, 2011Today I tried to pair my Atrix with my PC for the first time and was unable to pair the devices. After several failed attempts I noticed that the Bluetooth on the Atrix would not restart either from the Widget or settings menu. Turning the phone on and off repeatedly still would not get the Bluetooth to turn back on. Previous to this attempt at pairing with my PC the Bluetooth on my Atrix has been working just fine in my car.
