Is it possible to turn off LTE and just use regular 4g? I like the speed of LTE but the battery life is so bad that I would like to be able to turn it off so that I can make it through a day on battery power.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI created a POP3 account using the "Accounts" app. All is good, it can send & receive emails & they appear in the Blur messaging widgets, which I like.My problem is that I do not want the phone to delete the emails from the server as I get my main PC's Outlook to download & store all the emails when it is switched on.Can it be done? It would be a nice new feature to add if it isn't already in.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo as well all know, AT&T uses a ridiculous set of cellular frequencies that not only produces a lower signal (compared to Verizon,) but also puts a lovey "DA DA, DA DA, DAT DAT DAT DAAAA!!!!" sound in my speakers! (GSM interference) I've tried the tricks with the little things you put on your speaker cables to catch the stray RF noise but they did not help and I am SICK of this stupid sound that gets transmitted into every set of speakers I have.
The only way to fix this is to shut off the cellular network by putting the iPhone into airplane mode. Then, I can play music from my iPod and not have the stupid interference playing as well. The only problem is, now I can't stream online music like Pandora, etc because Airplane mode shuts off my WiFi? So is there any way I can shut off the phone, but leave on the WiFi?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had my Atrix since launch and it's been doing great, however just starting last night when I plugged it into both the wall, and then to the computer, it won't charge. It "sees" that the cable is plugged in because it lights up the screen, but it seems like the charging / usb port is dead for some reason. The battery is now totally dead and I have it plugged in, and all I get is a green light in the upper right hand corner, no display on the screen. I took out the battery and reseated it, no joy there.

After several failed attempts I noticed that the Bluetooth on the Atrix would not restart either from the Widget or settings menu. Turning the phone on and off repeatedly still would not get the Bluetooth to turn back on. Previous to this attempt at pairing with my PC the Bluetooth on my Atrix has been working just fine in my car.
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy phone was charged at 100% and was on the charger when this happened. Basically the phone froze for about 5-10 seconds and then the screen went black. I haven't been able to get it to turn back on. I've tried the hard restart (power and volumn buttons held down together) and I've tried connecting it to my computer but nothing works. Is there anything else I should try? Or do I need to just take it back to the AT&T store? I've only had the phone for a week and a half, so it's still within their 30 day thing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter a weekend of operation I tried to turn WiFi on only to have it turn itself off after 15-30 sec. It happened 3 times before I powered down and back up, that fixed the problem. It may be a memory leak as the phone had been on for 3 days, or maybe it was related to the fact that it had gotten to a low battery state over the weekend and it turned off some services to save battery and didn't turn them back on after it was charged. I have very few apps loaded and dont think thats the problem, but I did use Googles navigator this weekend for the first time since I updated to GB.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I am no longer able to turn on Bluetooth on on my Atrix. When I turn it on, it looks like it is turning on but then the widget and/or settings panel check box go back to the off state.
I've tried rebooting but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I've seen other posts which recommend a factory reset but I would prefer to not do this as I only factory reset my phone about a week ago.
I loved how my old iPhone made it easy to click on phone numbers, email addresses, and links in emails, texts, web pages, etc. especially when I wanted to click on an address to show it on the map. My Atrix has never done that. Until recently I thought it was just something I had to put up with.
However, I got so frustrated I finally went looking for an answer. Now it seems that my Atrix is supposed to work the same way, so I'm wondering what the problem is with mine. It gets phone numbers and email addresses in emails, but doesn't recognize addresses.
Is there a setting I'm missing, or do I have a problem? I'm using the Gmail app for email.

This is getting very frustring to have it vibrate and it's not even discreet (it sounds like a loud buzzing noise on the other end). The person on the other line keeps asking what's that buzzing sound?This ISN'T a feature, in fact it's annoying to people I talk to on the phone and frustrating that I have to tell the other person everytime it's the phone vibrating. It does not make any difference in my life if it vibrates when I press the home, menu, return or search buttons.

When I'm using my bluetooth headset and hit the end button, I have no visual confirmation from my phone that the call has indeed ended.With the majority of the other phones I've owned, the screen will come on and a notification will pop up for certain things (call ending, incoming texts, bluetooth connected/disconnected, wifi available, etc). View 1 Replies View RelatedI left my atrix charging at night and when i woke up the next day, the phone is off and wont turn on. Stuff I tried:
- Pulling the battery out,
- Charging with another chargers
- Charging the battery with an external battery charger
- Using a tester to see the battery voltage(it was OK)
- Connecting to the computer via USB (solid green led no charge, nor detected by computer)
It wont even turn on, show any errors or messages or leds, my atrix just became a brick by itself out of nowhere, it didnt get wet or fall down or anything like that.
Sometimes when I'm getting in my car and hit the button to turn on the phone screen, then slide the unlock icon to the right to get to my screen, then try to start an app, I have to fight the phone to stay on over and over and over and over.There is plenty of battery life, so that isn't the issue. Sometimes it goes black immediately after sliding the unlock button right. Sometimes it goes black again when I click on an app on my home screen. Sometimes it goes black again after opening the app. Sometimes it goes black again after I click on something in the app.When this occurs, I can have to go thru hitting the on button and sliding the unclock icon right multiple times, sometimes 2 or 3 times at each of the steps as described above.

The phone is great but this is sad, what good is such a well hardware'd phone when you can't get service. I live in NYC, one of Sprint's strongest regions. To date, I haven't been anywhere where I have received 4 bars of service. Since the phone can't, I manually updated the PRL, and lo and behold, it STILL is AWFUL. It's disappointing. Incredibly disappointing. I presume Motorola is fixing the auto-correct issue with an update.The signal is excusable if it's a matter of hardware, but the keyboard simply is not. For 300$, I think I paid for the stock keyboard to have auto-correct.
