Recently got the .602 upgrade and noticed the double tap home launch isn't working, at least on my phone. Is this a new issue, or was it a problem previously? Have tried all the options available, but none seem to work. This feature can be accessed by going to Settings>Applications>Double tap home launch to choose your option.
View 5 RepliesI've configured the Double tap home launch to start the camera but I've noticed that occasionally it resets itself to Voice Commands for no reason.
Has anyone else encountered this? Are there any workarounds for it (apart from having to reset the action back to Camera)? Possible bug?
Occasionally my double-clicking of the home button does not launch my camera. To get that working again I have to go into setting turn off that feature and turn it back on.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid Turbo. Sometime today the little microphone button on my home page has stopped working when pressed. It only happens on my homepages on the phone, so if I tap on Google and bring up the browser page or then I can tap on the microphone and talk.
If I'm on the Home Screen; however, I can press it again and again and it is totally unresponsive. I have tried:
-turning the phone off and on again,
- going onto home-screen settings and turning google search on and off
- downloaded a anti-virus program suggested by a friend with the same phone and done searches.
This may seem like a rather small issue, but I use that microphone button a lot when using my phone.
I am getting double notifications for my text messages on my droid2. I have verified that I have turned off notifications (including default SMS App) on all but SMS Pop. Yet I keep getting 2 notifications 1) is using the message notification I set in SMS Pop and the other is the default notification sound.
How do I locate / kill the app making the default sound!?

If you start a message with the touch screen, you get lazy and open the keyboard and finish the message. Close the screen after you click send. 75% of the time you will send a double text message.

They have so many users going through hoops to describe their problem and give them details without really fixing the problem. It's been about 7 months since the first issue was reported to them. Currently, I have the double-tap to open up the camera.......however, when the phone is in lock mode and the home button is double tapped, the iPod turns on.
I don't want the iPod being activated by any means other than tapping on the iPod app icon.
Ok, so now our options for double clicking the home button are Home, Search, Favorites, Camera, iPod, and now multitasking??? 6 options? And if we DON'T want to use double click to go to multitasking what happens... we just lose multitasking all together? Many people have gotten used to and like being able to use the double click for our favorites or for the camera... and now we need to ditch that if we want to use the most desired feature of 4.0??? really? I mean, REALLY? It just seems like a pretty clunky afterthought to throw another double click option at us. Surely apple could have implemented something nicer.
Personally I think for multitasking they should use some sort of 3 finger gesture. Either a 3 finger swipe up (and keep the dock-like implementation apple chose) or a 3 finger zoom out (which would then zoom out to showing all active apps at once. imagine the tabs view in mobile safari.Additionally I think apple should add a dedicated camera button. That would solve the other double home button issue and this would make the iphone much more usable as a camera.
I know in iOS4 if you double tap the home button it gives you the multitasking option...is there a way to override that so the double tap can be ipod controls?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an issue using the "double space to insert period" option on the physical keyboard of my Droid 4, which was recently updated to Ice Cream Sandwich. This is the pegged down description.I want the virtual keyboard default to be Motorola's, not Swype. (Not a Swype fan, evidenced by my desire for a physical keyboard phone to begin with.) I also want the options of auto-correction and auto-capitalization turned off for my physical keyboard.I cleared out the cache/data settings for keyboards several times and tried many combos, and came to the following conclusion: If "Show word correction suggestions" for the Motorola virtual keyboard is on "always show" then I can double-space to insert a period and also have a space between that period and the next word. Everything works fine.
However, any other option besides "always show" means that the double-space/period simply will not work, and I have to put up with the suggestion box always popping up as I type with the physical keyboardFor now, I have to have show word suggestions to be always on as a temporary fix, though I hate it and want it turned off. Hopefully in time I can get the correct fix, which is why I have come here to see if anyone has any suggestions. Even if I've tried a route in the past, I will try it again this time around to doubly-ensure it will/won't fix the issue as we try to come to a proper solution.(P.S. I do not remember trying to use this option on Gingerbread, if it even existed. I just saw it on ICS after upgrading and figured it would be cool to have and ran with it.)

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I've been tooling around with iOS4, and unfortunately one of the features I use the most appears to be missing. You can't customize the behavior of the home button anymore in Settings, and as such you can't set it to do things like open phone favorites, open the camera or open the iPod controls. This is kind of a downer since I used to use the double-tap for phone favorites all the time.
I know that previous reports about iOS4 said you could double-tap and hold to bring up phone favorites but that's not working anymore, it seems.
- Holding the home button brings up voice control.
- Double-tapping brings up the multitasking/recent apps bar along the bottom.
- Double-tapping and holding does nothing.
- Triple-tapping does nothing.
- Triple-tapping and holding brings up voice control.
