every time i try to use the phone portal it it ask you to plug in usb to launch or connect with wifi.well problem one is i trie to use just wifi but wont connect unless i use my usb . witch i dont understand.number 2 is after i get it to launch and login on my pc the app crashes every time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my Atrix for a couple of months now and I noticed this problem back within the first 30 days but thought it was an issue with our network at work..ie the wrong password. After getting our tech guys to set the right password I have tried to connect to the WiFi at work but it gets to the point of obtaining an IP address and disconnects. I know the password is right because my co workers newish laptop will connect and another coworkers Iphone 3GS will connect.
My Atrix will connect at home, Applebees guest and the local hospitals guest connection. The work connection is secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK according to my phone. It's a small work place and really the only person that would every use the connection would be me and honestly I'm a little peeved that I can't get it to connect. The routers are probably about 3 years old so I'm not sure what that would have on them but they should work just fine with this phone. I can't really log into the routers and change anything there because of some other things that are networked into the system. Are there any setting I can change in my phone that might force it to work?
When I got my Atrix 2 days ago, I brought it home and connected to my home wifi with no problem. Downoaded the 1st of 2 updates/upgrades and after installing it, I was no longer able to connect to it. "Obtaining IP address" was all it displayed until disabling it and connecting to one of my neighbour's unsecured, poor signal, on and off connection.I've tried the tech people at Bell Mobiity and even my internet provider and they are clueless.Everything else in the house connects without issue, including my old blackberry bold 9000, xbox, 3 laptops, tv, etc. Just not my Atrix.I've rebooted the router several times, renewed WAN settings, switched to static ip. I've also pulled the battery for 2+ minutes, rebooted the phone, told it to forget, then re-entered the password to try to reconnect. Nothing.I also don't have any issue connecting to other wifi networks. Just the one in my house.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have not been able to get the webtop to launch. I am using a Motorola multi-media HD dock to connect to my HDTV. All of the support pages show using an app called "Motorola Webtop." The only app on my phone is named "Webtop Connector". When I launch it there is a red/white Motorola logo that comes up on the TV screen but nothing else happens. The phone displays No webtop web pages to resume. and No webtop bookmarks.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought the Atrix 2 today.Initial thoughts, the screen looks really nice, the soft rubber back feels better then the Atrix 1. I got the same internet speeds as the Atrix 1. Camera button convenient though pressing it doesnt launch camera app. On the Atrix 2 internal memory isnt accessible, even hooking up to pc you cant browse it, so you need a SD card to put music and videos, etc on it.HDMI mirroring worked as expected. I think the MHL mirroring from the SGS2 was better quality though.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI don't have the "sound recorder" app on my app drawer. Yet i know the program is on the phone, because if i launch whatsapp, click on attach and then choose audio, it will launch sound recorder just fine.
So, what is the officially santioned way to open sound recorder?
I've configured the Double tap home launch to start the camera but I've noticed that occasionally it resets itself to Voice Commands for no reason.
Has anyone else encountered this? Are there any workarounds for it (apart from having to reset the action back to Camera)? Possible bug?
When up connect my Atrix to my computer via the USB cable, I get the message, "Do you want to scan and fix MB860?" as wells as "Do you want to scan and fix SD card?" This happens on a Windows Vista and on a Windows 7 computer. The problem is not that I do not disconnect properly from the computer, as I always click that "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the tray (isn't that what they call it?) down on the right of the Taskbar, and then click the proper choice before unplugging the cable. If I tell it I do want to scan and fix, there is never any problem found after the scanning.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor the last several weeks neither the WiFi nor the Bluetooth will turn on. When selecting to turn on WiFi is starts to turn on then stops and displays Error. About 75% of the time after attempting to turn on the WiFi the phone will reboot. I have factory reset the phone and the WiFi and Bluetooth will work once after the reset but once the phone sleeps neither WiFi nor Bluetooth will operate. This is even after a power down. I have checked my settings and can't find anything that would cause this.

I have AT&T service so you would think this is a no brainer, my son who has Sprint gets on with no problem, my husband with Verizon has no problem, (both have Android phones), my daughter with A&T service and an iPhone has no problems, however when I go on, it searches for awhile and then I get the following error message and it shuts off my wifi

I can't seem to connect my new Atrix 2 to my Macbook Pro at all.. not even through USB. I am not able to receive an item nor am I able to connect successfully through USB. At first, I just connected my phone through USB and it popped up to install a link but it was only an ".exe" file. I than downloaded Motorola Media Link and there is no connection link. I am on a Macbook Pro 10.6.8 and I have searched through the forum as well but nothing really specific on my issue. I have restarted my Mac and my Atrix 2 but to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince I updated to the Gingerbread operating system the phone does not recognize the USB to charge and the pc is telling me that it cannot recognize the device either. I have tried to update drivers, but that has not worked.
After the battery died, the phone would flash on the Motoblur screen for a few seconds. Eventually (after more than 12 hours of the flashing on and off screen) it did charge up, but I don't know how to keep it charged and I cannot connect or sync with the computer. It is not the cable, as I have the same issue with the car charger connected.
I was able to do a External Reset, but it still has the same issue. AT&T doesn't know anything about it and has offered no solution. What should I do? Everything was working fine before the update. Is there any way to restore the old operating system?
I really love the Motion Launch gestures except the volume button that wakes the phone and launches the camera app.
Launching the camera app by mistake is annoying and it happens from time to time.
I tried Settings > Display & gestures > Motion Launch gestures but it looks like I'll have to disabled the whole thing.
This started happening today for some reason. If I try to launch Asphalt 8 on WiFi the game just force closes at Gameloft splash screen after a few seconds. If I turn WiFi off and data on it launches, and once I'm in game I'm able to turn it back on and then it doesn't crash anymore. Same goes for Modern Combat 5, with the difference that without at least data it asks you to switch it on so I can't even use that workaround, so I can't run the game whatsoever. The apps are regualrly purchased, in case you're wondering... I'm currently running XtreStoLite 2.4 with Adam kernel and Xposed.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to get my phone to communicate with Moto Cast USB. I use Zumocast for wireless, but I wanted to use Moto Cast to sync my music and videos over USB. When I plug the USB in everything starts up automatically. A screen pops up and tells me its preparing my device, then another screen pops up telling me to wait while it loads content. However, this second screen has a large yellow triangle with an exclamation in it and lists things to try if you are having connection issues. I have tried every USB option I have on the phone, it seems to force the connection back to USB mass storage, so I assume that is where it needs to be.

It fails with an error that says failed to install something called "ADB" drivers. The phone and car find each other, the phone asks for the PIN code and it says connected. But, when I try to connect the phone to my car, I get an error message that the car has rejected the connection.

(2.3.4 was preinstalled) When I try to connect to my home network via wifi and the router is not broadcasting the SSID, the phone cannot connect. When I change the router so the SSID is being broadcast, the phone can connect and has an "excellent" connection. My other mobile phone (HTC diamond 2) and laptop can both connect to the router when it is not broadcasting the SSID, so the router is okay.

I have had the phone since it has come out and this has never happened before. I have wiped and restarted the phone twice and nothing has changed. I have attached pictures of the menu settings page and the toggle switch which just has the loading symbol and cant be switched on or off.

In the Phone status menu, I see a potential problem in that the Mobile Network state is set to "disconnected". Mobile Net type = HSPA (which stands for what?), Service state = "in service", and I'm on an AT&T network.how to get my mobile network state back on?

Phone doesnt connect with Edge much anymore, and some times when E is present, still no cell data network connection. Signal strength is g2g.Also, phone will launch Cydia, but shortly after boots out of the program. I respring, restart, turn off, power and home key combo no luck.
