New to the forum. I've had an Atrix since April and love it. Looking forward to the 2.3.4 upgrade. I'm having an issue when connected via bluetooth to my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I frequently get a "Voice Command Application has stopped unexpectedly" error. I then have to force close. Typically it's impossible to make or receive calls while connected. Other times everything works fine.I never had this error when I was connected via bluetooth to my previous car.
I go to apps > options > search and boom - "The application Homescreen (processcom.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." [Force close]I have confirmed other users are experiencing this.
I am trying to trigger the voice command using bluetooth headset when my phone is locked. This doesnt happen, the only way is to unlock the phone using the slider and drawn the pattern. This is kind of irritating as one can do this basic task in any other phones. I cant find any settings to do this.
My Atrix has the latest update applied and has started recently showing the following error message:"com.motorola.service.main had stopped unexpectedly" Touching ok returns to the home screen for 1 second and the error reappears. This makes the phone unusable.I have performed a factory reset and the error was away for 24 hrs but now it has reappeared.
I've been using my Motorola Atrix for over 3 months without any problems. Very happy with this phone. After the last upgrate of Android (2.3.4), I started having problems with the camera. Sometimes, I get the following message:"Sorry! The application Camera (process com.motorola.Camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".The only option is to click on "Force close". However, I can try as many times I want to run the camera app and I keep getting the same message, and not being able to use the camera at all. The only solution is to restart my cell phone which is very inconvinient.
I can get my calendar to open with a voice command. But is there a way (or an app) to actually get it to make an appointment (such as: Meet John on Decemebver 29th at 10am) with just voice commands.
My voice search has stopped working completely! It gives me the error message that it has ended unexpectedly and I have to click on a button that says force close be it in the google search widget or in the gps mode.
I want lock the screen or power off the phone by using a voice command if my friends grab the phone out of my hand to read what I am texting.
I want to be able to say "Hey Droid Turbo, lock the screen" or something similar. I tried the "Goodnight" command but the screen still stays on even though I have it set to be off while sleeping. How to achieve my goal?
if I dial a contact via the Razr's voice command using my Bluetooth headset, the call connects, but neither party can hear audio. If I dial by selecting the contact manually, using the same Bluetooth headset, the call connects normally and audio is fine. The headset is a Jabra 250 and I don't have easy access to another Bluetooth device at the moment. Can't tell if this is a sw or hw issue on the Razr or the headset (which is an older model but still works just fine with original Droid Razr).
My spouse and I are both experiencing frequent start up of the Voice Command function when listening to our music library. Also the phone will repeatedly dial the last number call when listening to music as well.
Sometime the phone just stops responding to any command. The present application i working but I am not able to terminate it, or switch between applications. The whole phone get irresponsive and slow.
My BB does have a auto lock that occurs every 10min through our BES.however when i am listen to podcast and the auto lock occurs...it then stops my audio and i have to go back in and scrub to where i was and thoughts on over-riding it?
On my Atrix 4G with Motoblur, purchased several months ago, I was able to set up the syncing with my Google calendar. It worked well until about 2 months ago, when the automatic synching just stopped. I WAS able to manually synch, so decided to drop the matter. After several weeks the automatic synching just returned.
Now all calendar synching -- manual as well as automatic -- has stopped for several days. I did the recommended power-off, remove battery, remove SIM card, etc., routine. No effect.
A synched calendar was the number one reason I upgraded to a newer phone model when I purchased the Atrix 4G. I have one Google calendar and one phone. All I want to do is to be able to synch them. Nothing complicated. Is this just a flaw in the Atrix?
So randomly I'll be using my phone, and then all vibrations won't work. Haptic Feedback doesn't work, not even the vibration alert for texts. Sometimes when I make it sleep it fixes it, but this only happened within the last day or two.
I have motorola atrix with motoblur and no matter what music player app i install on it, they all exit silently after certain time, usually less than 2 mins. it happens always and it frustrates me. i earlier thought that only default music player is profanity removed-- but it turns every player has this issue. Will at&t replace this phone?
I have now tried three separate music players (ATT Music Player, Google Music and Winamp. All three have a common problem. I begin playing music, and then after a minute or so, the music stops.I've tried several fixes over the last couple of weeks to rectify the issue including:
-Music players are not on the "Auto-End List."
-I've taken programs that seem to be associated with playing music off the "Auto-End List"
-Phone battery savings setting: Performance Mode
-Screen timeout is set at 1 minute. (I know that this should not affect the music player.)The only time that this doesn't happen is when I set the screen timeout to never. So when it is set to timeout, or when I turn the phone off via the power button, the music plays for a minute or so and then stops.
I still have not been able to stop the Atrix music player from stopping after 4 minutes when the screen timeout is set for 2 minutes. Strangest thing. The screen shuts off after 2 minutes as it should but the music keeps playing for exactly 2 more minutes then stops. When the screen is set to never time out, there is no problem, (except unnecessarily buring out the screen and the battery, of course.) The auto-end list in the stock task manager has Music, Gellery, Files and Purchased Media set to NOT shut off. I have read that there are other apps that should be on this list, like News and Weather
I have been using Atrix for about 6 months now and have suddenly faced an issue. If I press the search button while browsing through applications, I get the following error:"The application Home (process com.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."After I am forced to "force close" this, automatically all recently used (probably running) apps get started. To elaborate on the problem. It occurs every time I perform following steps.
1. I'm on the home screen
2. Press the Apps button (to view all installed apps)
3. Press the search button
Effects:
1. Error pop-up : Application Home has stopped unexpectedly (Exact message given above)
2. Click on "Force Close" button on the error popup
3. Screen blanks out for a couple of seconds and the home screen reappears. In case any other applications are running in the background originally, then all those apps start ie they occupy the screen (instead of home screen).
I have z3 with lollipop. When Phone is Locked and i long click the earphones button i get a possibility to use Voice Command. Problem is that it is in English and I can't switch it to polish, eventhough Google search is in Polish and speech text is in Polish and basically everything is in Polish, even ivona. How can I switch voice command to polish?
I've had my phone since black friday, and just yesterday started having a strange problem with it. It was in my pocket and it vibrated once so I checked what it was and it said "MTP initialization" at the top and "Charging" at the bottom, which is what it does when I plug it into my computer or charge it. It seemed weird to me because it definitely wasn't plugged into anything at all, it was in my pocket. When I got home, I plugged it into the charger for about 2 hours.then when I unplugged it, it did the same thing, but it kept doing it. It'd look like I plugged it into my computer when I didn't, and then a few seconds later the "charging" and everything would go away and it would say "Running Media Scanner" which is what it says whenever I unplug it from the computer. Since that time yesterday, it has literally been doing this every few seconds, cycling between thinking it's plugged into a computer and then being unplugged. In addition, for a while yesterday, the Voice Command kept opening and closing on it's own, not sure why. It seems to have stopped doing that now, but it keeps doing the charging/media scanning thing. I can actually use it when it's doing this thing, it just keeps vibrating every few seconds which gets annoying, and slows the phone down a little bit. But when the voice command thing kept opening and closing every few seconds, it was almost unusable because every time I'd try to do something, it'd cut out and go to the voice command.
While working I carry my iPhone in my pants pocket. When bending or lying on the floor which I have to do, the Home Button gets pushed and Voice Command is activated. It randomly calls someone or plays a song. How do I disable the Voice Command?

Clean boot (restart), the proximity sensor works fine (when on call it turns screen off, when moved away from face screen on). As soon as I make or receive call via bluetooth (Motorola brand btw.) The proximity sensor stops working. When on call it will not turn the screen off... Rebooting the phone will fix until a call is made/received via bluetooth. This was confirmed with other Moto phones (Photon...) as well as different bluetooth devices.
So my fiancee got an iPhone this weekend, and we also picked up a Plantronics BT headset at the store as well. I asked the sales rep which one would work well with the iPhone, and he didn't seem to ahve any preference and said anything should work. Well, unfortunately, it doesn't work with the iPhone's voicedial. When you press the button on the headset, it doesn't do anything unless you're answering a call. And I know it has nothing to do with being a cheap headset because I have a really cheap Southwing, probably cheaper than the Plantronics, that I got someplace for my old phone, and that works great. Can anyone recommend a ~$40 headset that works?
I have a problem with my new Z2: I was used to use the voice command from the bluetooth headset, a long press on the headset button start the sw, on the display I see the word "inizializzazione" (in italian: I suppose it should be "Initializing" in english) and in the headset I ear "Attendi" which in english should be "waiting" but nothing happen.
