I just got a VU204 phone from my employer and while it is a decent phone, it has the most annoying button. On the right side is an EXTREMELY sensitive button that activates the voice command and voice recording feature. It is located right where your thumb would normally be when holding the phone and it goes off at the slightest touch. Does anyone know how to disable this button?
I am trying to trigger the voice command using bluetooth headset when my phone is locked. This doesnt happen, the only way is to unlock the phone using the slider and drawn the pattern. This is kind of irritating as one can do this basic task in any other phones. I cant find any settings to do this.
New to the forum. I've had an Atrix since April and love it. Looking forward to the 2.3.4 upgrade. I'm having an issue when connected via bluetooth to my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I frequently get a "Voice Command Application has stopped unexpectedly" error. I then have to force close. Typically it's impossible to make or receive calls while connected. Other times everything works fine.I never had this error when I was connected via bluetooth to my previous car.
'bog standard' defy's screen didn't activate when I was called, it rang but the screen didn't react to tapping or swiping, I was able to answer the call by pressing the on off button (seems to have woken the phone up) but then no swiping was required the call was directly active!?This has only happened a couple of times, I do have a screen foil on, but this has a cut out where the sensor is for the 'up to ear detection'.
if I dial a contact via the Razr's voice command using my Bluetooth headset, the call connects, but neither party can hear audio. If I dial by selecting the contact manually, using the same Bluetooth headset, the call connects normally and audio is fine. The headset is a Jabra 250 and I don't have easy access to another Bluetooth device at the moment. Can't tell if this is a sw or hw issue on the Razr or the headset (which is an older model but still works just fine with original Droid Razr).
My spouse and I are both experiencing frequent start up of the Voice Command function when listening to our music library. Also the phone will repeatedly dial the last number call when listening to music as well.
I'm wondering if I'm the only person that has this annoying bug. When I access the voice command application, the prompt to "say a command" doesnt come throught speaker but rather through the earpiece (lower volume). I have my VoiceSignal sound setting for SpeakerPhone to "Always On". I have been able to solve this by going to the phone settings and performing a sound reset (menu 9.0) but this is annoying to do every time since I have to change all of my tone and ring settings back the way I like them afterwards.
as you know, motorola defy doesn't have voice recorder...so, I tried to install ''tape-a-talk-voice-recorder'' but it doesn't work...it starts downloading and after that download paused finally and permanently.
Is there a way to turn off the voice part of the phone but still have SMS working?
Im traveling abroad and when I do I always forward (unconditional fwd) my phone to voicemail. The problem is that I was never able to un-forward the phone from abroad. I was thinking that if I was able to turn off the voice part of the phone, I could turn it on and off as needed..
I have been trying to explore these options as it is said that it works either ways. But not sure how to get it..The text to speech settings has " Install voice data" grayed out. Should I use a third party app to enable these options? But my understanding is Defy has this enabled and its a built in app....
I just put Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 on my blackjack. Everything works beautifully, but I don't like using my volume button as the voice dial button. I see where to change the activate button, but what buttons are "app1, app2," etc?
I have installed MS Voice command on my 3125. It works fine when i use a hard button. When I try to use it through my bluetooth headset the phone use the default voice dial program. How can I get MSVC to be the default app for bluetooth?
I don't know if anybody else has experienced this but I'm looking for a way to fix this. Basically my phone goes out of battery within one or two hours because the voice command keeps popping up (as though i was holding the right key long enough to prompt the voice command). As an indicator of such a bug, sometimes when i try txt msg, it'll start erasing the whole thing (here, also as though i was holding the right key continually to clear the txt msg field).
I love voice command. I like that it announces calls through my headset. But, I like to remove my headset when I'm not using the phone. Problem is, if I get a call or message, then I won't hear it.I would like to be able to have VC announce the call/message on my headset, AND play the ringer/message tone on the phone itself.
I am trying to install MS Voice Command 1.6 on my HTC Touch running WM 6 Professional. Can'tget it to load - keep getting error - say's there's an unrecoverable error in setup.Has anyone experienced the same problem? Any ideas to fix this prob gratefully appreciated!
I've had my phone since black friday, and just yesterday started having a strange problem with it. It was in my pocket and it vibrated once so I checked what it was and it said "MTP initialization" at the top and "Charging" at the bottom, which is what it does when I plug it into my computer or charge it. It seemed weird to me because it definitely wasn't plugged into anything at all, it was in my pocket. When I got home, I plugged it into the charger for about 2 hours.then when I unplugged it, it did the same thing, but it kept doing it. It'd look like I plugged it into my computer when I didn't, and then a few seconds later the "charging" and everything would go away and it would say "Running Media Scanner" which is what it says whenever I unplug it from the computer. Since that time yesterday, it has literally been doing this every few seconds, cycling between thinking it's plugged into a computer and then being unplugged. In addition, for a while yesterday, the Voice Command kept opening and closing on it's own, not sure why. It seems to have stopped doing that now, but it keeps doing the charging/media scanning thing. I can actually use it when it's doing this thing, it just keeps vibrating every few seconds which gets annoying, and slows the phone down a little bit. But when the voice command thing kept opening and closing every few seconds, it was almost unusable because every time I'd try to do something, it'd cut out and go to the voice command.
While working I carry my iPhone in my pants pocket. When bending or lying on the floor which I have to do, the Home Button gets pushed and Voice Command is activated. It randomly calls someone or plays a song. How do I disable the Voice Command?
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 500GB H.D.,3.06GHz Intel,4GB DDR3
Pls help...in the manual, it says that the "voice"command IS NOT recorded in advance, but it is the ph who creates it [??]it also says that to listen to the synthesized voice tag, open a contact card, select Options>play>voice tag...could any of you tell me how to reach this options>play>voice tag.......???or,how to set up the voice tag for one contact, as the manual is very poor in this respect..
I just purchased a new Samsung D900i and upon receipt noticed that the voice commands and document viewer were not available despite the vendor specifications indicating otherwise. I spoke to the vendor and they indicated that these are features that need to be configured on the phone prior to use and directed me to this forum. Can anyone offer some insight into this issue or tell me where/how I can get these features configured before I try to send this thing back to the vendor?
I recently acquired Microsoft's Voice Command for the touch and I swear I had similar functionality out of either my Touch's first ROM or my Samsung Ace because I never had to train it but that's besides the point.I have a Jabra BT120 (older BT headset got free from T-mobile) with my Touch that I want to use to activate MSVC when I press the button (as a full replacement for the regular "Voice speed dial" which DID launch when I had it enabled). Now that I only want to use MSVC, how can I enable MSVC to be launched and used when I trigger the button on my headset similar to the Voice Speed Dial launching?
