My bluetooth keeps disengaging especially after transferring between a phone call and listening to music. Voice activated dialing takes forever to boot up on my Atrix.
View 3 RepliesI have a Bold 9700 through AT&T.Twice now, I have accidentally pressed the call button on my bluetooth, and afterwards, I am unable to have sounds played through my phone after disconnecting the bluetooth.My alarm will not play in the morning, the phone will not ring/alert, and I am unable to play music.When I try, I get the following message: "Cannot play media while Voice Activated Dialing is active."How do I turn off the VAD? I do not wish to use it in the future, either
View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to permanently disable this feature and can't find where to do so. When using a bluetooth headset, if I press the button in a call, it hangs up. However, if the other end hangs up first, my phone calls a random number from the phone book when I try to hang up myself. The same happens if the headset gets touched accidentally.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a curve 8330 and the voice activated dialing initializes on its own and loops in 3 second intervals until i do a battery pull. While the VAD is looping I am unable to make or recieve calls, it either disconnects me or mutes the phone and i am unable to unmute it. I removed the VAD all together using a program called MAXMEM, but the phone is still malfunctioning. now when i try to make an outgoing call it attempts to connect me for about 3 seconds then disconnects me. When trying to answer incoming calls it mutes the phone. I cant hear anything and the person calling me cant either. I went into settings and did a factory restore but it did not fix the problem. Is there any way to completely un-install the OS/software and re-install it? Im hoping that that will fix it. i have tried doing it via the BB website but was unable to.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI got my Droid Turbo about 10 days ago. Previously I had a Droid Razr Maxx for about 2.5 years. I had a Bluetooth hands free device mounted on my visor where when I hit a button it would speak "Please say a command" and I could respond with "Call Bob Smith Home" and it would work. I then got a Pioneer radio and it behaved exactly the same and worked very well.
Now, I get my Droid Turbo and expect similar results but it doesn't work? I can "sometimes" hear the first part of the phone/car stereo asking me to say a command but it is broken up and sometimes I hear nothing at all. If I look at the phone I can see that it is waiting for a command. If I say "Call Bob Smith Home" it comes up with Bob Smith but nothing happens? Also, if I say "Ok Google" and then say "Call Bob Smith Home" a DIFFERENT type screen comes up and WILL make the phone call.
In playing with my phone it seems like the phone comes with multiple voice command type "programs". I think there is the Google Voice, Moto something, and is there maybe even something else? Anyway, I'd just like my bluetooth voice dialing to work. Do any of you have a recommendation on how to get this work or use one of the phone's other voice recognition ones that will work?
if I dial a contact via the Razr's voice command using my Bluetooth headset, the call connects, but neither party can hear audio. If I dial by selecting the contact manually, using the same Bluetooth headset, the call connects normally and audio is fine.The headset is a Jabra 250 and I don't have easy access to another Bluetooth device at the moment. Can't tell if this is a sw or hw issue on the Razr or the headset (which is an older model but still works just fine with original Droid Razr).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently added Bluetooth to my 2011 Toyota Tacoma by installing: a Pioneer DEH-P6200BT, the handsfree steering wheel buttons, and a
PAC SWI-PS (interface between the steering wheel controls and the Pioneer). Everything works as expected except that the Voice Command button doesn't seem to do anything. I'm pretty sure the PAC SWI-PS is programmed correctly. the On Hook/Off Hook buttons work as do the audio control buttons. But the Atrix doesn't respond to the Voice Command button.
is there a version of os 5.0 where the voice dialing actually works from your blue tooth? or can you reload voice dialing from the os 4.5 app?
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust recently my voice-dial over my bluetooth stopped working - when I hit the button on my headset, all it does it redial the last number I had dialed. I'm not aware of any phone updates since it last worked. I've powered the phone off and on and still no luck. It was bad enough when I had to "wake it up" in order to use it. This is very frustrating - when I'm driving, I'm on the highway. I'm not stopping regularly for traffic lights so I can dial!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI use a Jawbone Icon HD bluetooth. If my phone is UNLOCKED, I can hold down the bluetooth button and I hear "Voice Dialing" and Voice Commands opens on my RAZR M allowing me to place a call.
If my phone is LOCKED, I still hear "Voice Dialing", but nothing happens on my phone. I tried SMART ACTIONS:
Triggers: Paried to a Bluetooth device (Jawbone Icon HD)
Actions: Launch an app (Voice Commands)
It is on (icon is in the status bar). If my phone is LOCKED, I hear "Voice Dialing" and sometimes I'll see the screen flicker on to the unlock page, but it immediately goes dark again and nothing happens. Isn't there a way to make a hands free phone call without the phone being unlocked and without using a car dock?
i have a few iden motorola phones, i580, i877, i855 and i'm trying to use them for voice dialing.i got into the contact and add a voicetag to that contact, save it, and when i exit out of the contacts and go back into that particular contact it doesn't have a voicetag.so i'm worndering how to do voice dialing on an iden motorola phone! thanks in advance
View 2 Replies View Relatedi get a voicemail and will use the notification bar voicemail notification to dial and listen to my voicemail, It will dial and connect and play my voicemail, but while in this call: I can slide up and down the notifcation bar, but any other input is simply ignored. The 4 home buttons on the bottom work, the finger print reader works but I can't select power off, I can't hangup the call since all main screen input is simply ignored. Once the voicemail call times out due to no input, and disconnects the call, the phone turns back to normal operations: I can select apps, widgets on the main portion of the screen. When I simply go to the dialer and select the voicemail entry in my phonebook or hold down the '1' key, the phone will call my voicemail and I can do/use all functions.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to call out to anyone, there can be a delay of 1 - 1 1/2 MINUTES between when I hit the call button and when the "Dialing" screen comes up. At first I thought this might be because of my Google Voice settings but that doesn't appear to be the case. I've changed the settings to every option and even turned it off completely but still have the same effect. Doesn't matter if I dial using the quick dial widgets or the contacts directory either.

Either way it dials without waiting for confirmation. this has caused many embarrassing moments as I try to explain why I dialed someone I didn't need to call. I hesitate to hang up because I then get a call from the recipient of the errant dialing asking "Did you call me? What did you want?"

When I attempt to call a contact using the bluetooth device, I get an audio message that states "activating your phone in built voice command on the connected phone." "This feature is not supported on your connected phone" then my phone will display "complete action using voice commands" So in essence I have to tap the voice dialer app to make a call. View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is for a 32GB One, (AT&T carrier). I use the phone to listen to music on a motorcycle, specifically to stream Pandora and I plug the phone into the sound system of the bike. Not sure how important it is but the only time this happens is when it is plugged into the bike so it seems odd that Voice search would do anything- I assumed the built in mic would be inactive since the phone thinks it is connected to a headset but I haven't tested that (just a thought).
The problem is that the phone will launch Google's voice-driven search application for no apparent reason. I have tried turning Google Now off and went into the "Voice" settings and disabled hotword detection but the app still randomly launches.
When the app self launches, the phone goes nuts cutting out Pandora, tries to dial various numbers (but typically is a re-dial of the last number). I am too new to Android to realize what is launching this and can't figure out how to kill or disable Voice Search. I have tried going to Settings-->Apps and all apps but I could not specifically find the Voice Search app.
Voice activated features won't work when I am in a moving vehicle.

I have tried voice id caller and smsreader and neither works.
Voice id caller at least sounds a prefix you can customize, but not the actual name of the caller. I wonder if it depends on a specific ringtone. My ringtone is a minute long.
A few times now my Atrix has become completely unresponsive to voice input.
The voice input dialog pops up, but nothing that's said is heard and the input mode just reacts as if it just got silence.
I may have had the phone connected to my bluetooth speaker phone in the car at some point (or a headset), but I'm not 100% sure.
I will have a trip to Asia, but still would like to use my Atrix with wifi only when I was on my trip, so that I will not be charged the romaining service for either voice or data. I know I can disable my data service from the setup option, but no idea how to disable the voice service temporally?

People that I've called seem to think it's acceptable now (haven't been asked to repeat myself), but if asked to choose, they do still believe that the "off" setting provides a better sounding voice, i.e. less muffled.
